I actually went into a bridal salon looking for my dress and left with a job, I started the next weekend and learned SO much about the wedding industry, time lines, and finding the right dress or dresses for each bride. It’s a very different type of retail.

I wish I could remember the name of my favorite SYTTD consultant. She only lasted one season. I remember they said she had previously worked in menswear tailoring. I imagine the drama was a bit too much for her but she really had a knack for matching dresses to the bride’s body type, presumably due to her tailoring background.

Hi Lucie!! I love this series, I have watched every episode!! You should try working on a farm for a day!! Milking cows, Feeding animals, grooming/walking and taking horses to exercise, cleaning the poop! etc!!! I would love to see it!!!

This missed a lot of aspects of bridal consulting, such as measuring, sizing, ordering, designing custom changes with the designers, checking stock with designers for the girl that’s getting married quickly, knowing which dresses comes in which sizes and split sizes, etc. Really surface level video...
