They have it combined into 2 medals this year speed climbing and “sport” climbing, which is combined boulder and lead. I imagine they didn’t do lead on purpose.
I did try 20 different olympic sports once that was enough of an organisational challenge never mind 140. Interestingly some of the water sports were hard to find in the UK or at least where I was located at the time.
I'm glad you guys had a fun time with Sailing! I would love to see you guys go back and try some of the actual Olympic sailing classes; they're all very different and fun in their own ways. Especially with some of the smaller boats you can really feel more connected to the water and waves compared to the bigger boats. There's nothing like surfing a wave on the downwind in a Laser/ILCA! And of course foiling and skiff sailing are their own things, with their own difficulties and thrills.
Sorry guys you did the kayaking but there are canoe events too. In those you kneel and they are significantly less stable than even the K2 you tried. Good effort though
I never realised how high hurdles are 😮 in general all of the athletics events you tried show how much technic athletes must have to compete on highest level. Even a fit person looks somewhat silly trying these.
why is there so much athletics in your area? even in the end there were poeople playing basketball! this is just crazy to me idk even know how to explain it. im oh so jealous aswell. 24.8.1
This is amazing i;m going through my head trying to think what is left most of the cycling ones (BMX, mountain bike, track good luck doing an omnium lol road race) all the gymnastics trampolene and rythmic lots of the real endurance stuff marathon, 10km run, 10km swim + 400 800 and 1500, all the horse stuff, diving, golf, judo rugby 7s shooting table tennis taekwondo Hockey handball. Boxing Basketball 3x3 basketball Breaking Volleyball though it could be argued you covered that on the beach. rowing 8s, windsurfing
Yeah I was actually thinking it’d be so cool to sign up for and literally compete in every event over the course of a year This week made me realise how many fun sports there are out there so now I just want to do them all lol
They are very, very narrow boats so its very easy to tip it off balance, the K1 boats they tried are quite narrow but not as narrow as the k2. Plus if one paddler moves their hips wrong or leans off balance the other can over react making the situation worse. Take that with a grain of salt though, I paddle whitewater kayaks, not sprint boats
Based on his form, I assume Connor actually ran hurdles at some point - maybe just high school, but he clearly understood the concept. I raced them once in college, because some other folks dropped out and it was a quick way to score some points. It was a disaster but I believe I still scored us 1pt. Great series, looking forward to the next eps.
That's a definite fail on both the k1 and the k2... What were you guys doing lol 😂.. the ski was a beginner ski and that k2 was even a more stable boat from the 90s... I like the concept, but you might have to up your game boys..
@@lachlanearnshaw it definitely is an acquired skill, most people spend the first 3 weeks falling in and it's a few months until you can actually put any power down, hopefully you can both revisit it one day it definitely takes patience and you need someone to coach you, once you learn that forward motion gives you stability(like a bike) and learn bracing strokes and resting your blade on the water for support you only improve from there.. your biggest mistake was not having both hands on the paddle.. paddling is a great sport once you get hooked. Respect for having a go 👍😎
@@stormer6364 I've never paddled racing kayaks but I do paddle whitewater boats which are more stable (though still not particularly stable) and quite a few people in our clubs fall in even with whitewater boats on flat water while they are learning how their hips and edging affects the boat. Also spinning. Lots of spinning. Absolutely love it though, its such a good sport
@@sgkingly8392 that's awesome, white water would be fun.. I'm enjoying watching the Olympic white water, they got some skills.. there's not much in the way of ww around me here tho there is surf tho which also gets the old blood pumping.. 😎
