@@AbroadinJapan It is true to eat before an eating challenge (or thanksgiving ) but I find dodge dairy. A light oatmeal, a salad or bun with something in it or soups are good- though I'd not pick soup pre-soba challenge. You want to make sure you stomach is lined with something but not something heavy- binging after an empty stomach roils your stomach and binging after eating something heavy bloats you.

That would mean 100 bowls is about 5 normal portions. In the end I feel like it’s more of a psychological thing because if you’re eating and you see all the bowls you’ve completed in front of you, your brain will probably compute that as you having eaten more than you actually have

In another video where Chris did the challenge with Joey and Sharla, they said the woman who ate 450 bowls was a competitive food eater. The record for a man was 400 bowls but this man was not a competitive food eater.

Anyone else have a very distinct mental image of this mystery woman? I'm imaging a very small woman in her mid 70s
