help me understand your perspective and place your comment in context... are you saying that biggest advantage the a7C has over the a7iii is that it has better AF?
@@movetomirrorless no, there are a lot advantages and even downsides. The ibis is weaker, the evf is smaller, the grip is smaller and more slippery, the body is not tall enough for five fingers to hold and the biggest disappointment: where is the front dial? But the af is far better. Nice tracking, recognition, face detection, eye tracking and overall performance at low light. I got a slight feeling that my a6400 got a faster tracking, that i used before. And the small zv1 outperforms the a7c in terms of tracking due the faster reading speeds of the sensor. But yes, for video and af-c tracking the a7c is far better as an a7iii. A main advantage over the existing a7iii
@@boulderdash2000 ok, I get what you're saying. here's the thing. the AVERAGE user will not see these nuances. they only see the $200 difference, the size of the body/ergonomics, and the EVF/flip-screen. I did address those issues in the video. The a7C EVF is junk, the ergonomics is more like the a6xxx series, whether that's a positive or negative, that's up to the user. But, those are the main differences. Nuances in AF & IBIS will not be noticeable by the average user, and I do stress the AVERAGE user. But, an advanced user, perhaps they will notice these issues. My channel is new and judging by the comments, I am seeing that my content is being watched mainly by new users, someone new to mirrorless or trying to get into photography. I highly doubt those nuances will be big factors to them. and honestly, for the majority of photography and video that normal people will use either of these 2 cameras for, the only really noticeable difference will be the ergonomics/compactness/flip-screen, the form factor is the MAIN deciding factor in my opinion. I even framed my video in that way, I asked if the a7C is better for travel video & photo. because of the form factor, I would say it's got the upper hand over the a7iii in this regard.
