I Tried Path Of Exile 2 Console Couch Co-op and my review on the gameplay live daily: / darthmicrotransaction My Twitter: / darthmicrot Join Discord: / discord
I have that this game have a hug where ever you want to have your life and mana bar. Ok i know that was coop video. But some people like to have this left, right or in the middle. That Reflection effect on heath bar, i hope you can but this off.
But will they have couch coop on PC. This is the most important feature for me. Diablo doesnt have couch coop on PC so I never bought it. I'm not talking about online coop, I want 2 people to play together infront of my pc with my controllers or one person mouse and key and other person controller. Please let me know, thanks :)
when is the XBX test since you're on PS5 beta test though you'd enjoyed the PC play time when you were in LA,CA that's for PoE2 was what I'm referring too.
It was delayed because of Covid. Not because problems with development. I agree, I can't wait. As a new convert, I am currently playing through the first campaign.
@@alexubel Isnt true. "The Path of Exile 2 beta has been delayed to later in 2024 due to unforeseen challenges during gameplay polishing. Developer Grinding Gear Games prioritizes gameplay quality over strict deadlines, aiming for a polished player experience."
@@kitpandikit You may be surprised. They've done extensive work on how skills work visually on the back end. They have a few videos that I've seen on it and how the skills particle effects and everything work.
Glad you enjoyed the time. I did not think I would enjoy couch co-op as much as I did, but it was an absolute blast. Brought me back to the good old LAN days of games like Age of Mythology.
This has increased my excitement for PoE 2. But honestly the most awesome thing I heard was that GGG was cool with you flying out anyone, even someone on the other side of the planet. That must have been a fun conversation. "Hey bro, we haven't got to see each other in person for awhile, so I was thinking, do you want to fly out to LA and play an unreleased video game with me?"
@@xpslice what are you? a diablo 4 shit eater?....lol poe 1 is already leagues better than diablo 3, 4 and any other crap blizzard spews out......its also a game that keeps casual low iq ppl out which is also cool
@@adiddevil to be EVER MORE FAIR, the OP just commented with no splitscreen was there and people off their meds felt they had to add their own thoughts that werent relevent.
This wasn't on my radar a week ago but it looks really great! I'd also like to give you props on the video itself. Your explanation was well informed and clear and concise. It really gave me a good feel for what to expect.
yea but hes not a good content creator, like none of them are, he just got boosted by Asmon. I respect Raxx and people who can actualy play games more.
I really enjoy this style of video! I hope it was easy to make as well, but you give great input on your experiences. Thank you for recapping this stuff!
@sirRavisher I think you meant to say "i don't care", as everyone likes different stuff. But I'll forgive you as I have a feeling your parents are siblings, so it's not like you know any better
bro this looks amazing. I am now more interested playing this couch co op with my wife rather than 2 separate computers. Theres something about shared screen co op that makes it feel much more personal. Amazing
I would recommend the couch. Me and my partner play all our games couch co op that we can together, and it's great. Most recently was cat quest 2, stupid fun.
man this game looks so good. i cant wait to finally try it myself! All the best to grinding gear to finish that in a great state and set a example to all competitors ;). Keep it up!
@@xpslice GGG can not compete with blizzard's human power. Ofc diablo has better graphics and animations. Blizzard is probably 100 times bigger than GGG.
Guys i loved playing diablo 3 couch coop with my flatmates during covid lockdown. This is so exciting, an actually good arpg supporting couch coop in these days comes close to a miracle. Looking forward to poe2 so hard now!
@@kavid8120 Main thing is getting the required INT to use certain gems (Blue/INT ones) and Gear (Energy Shield one). By default it gives you Mana and %Energy Shield; but usually not noticeably enough. But then, if you build around it, some Unique Items, Gem Abilities or other stuff can change or increase the benefits you get from INT. A common example would be The Whispering Ice, an Unique Stat that comes with an Unique Ability imbued into it (Icestorm), that gets base damage and increased duration based on your INT. HIgher the INT, higher the damage and duration. In this build, you are compelled to go full-INT (including jewels and uniques that increase it by a %) and so, you end up having a lot of extra % Energy Shield and Mana just from your abnormally high amounts of INT; allowing to focus on them as your main defenses with Energy Shield gear and/or the Mind Over Matter Keystone. In general, if you are not doing a stat-based build (which honestly, are rare and not common place, unless one or two happens to be in the Meta), you care mostly about just having the required stats for your gems and gear. Although the early pathing through strength nodes is quite noticeable (at low levels) by increasing both your HP and Melee Damage by a fair amount until you start getting more and more Damage and HP nodes.
@@kavid8120 Attribute points give bonuses per 10 points, for intelligence it is ("Every 10 Intelligence grants An additional 5 maximum mana and 2% increased maximum energy shield"). Sometimes attributes are also used for attribute stackers where you have a passive or gear that has an effect like "10% increased damage per 5 intelligence" or something like that.
The more I watch PoE 2 gameplay, the more I realize how early Diablo IV was released, they still had years of development ahead of them, yet they chose to release an unfinished product. Can't wait to play PoE 2, super hyped about it!
I can't wait for PoE 2 as well, I will say though D4 is actually in a state it should of been at for release. I want it to continue to get better, it's just nice having other arpgs to hop between when I am done with say a poe league. But once poe2 comes out, D4 prob gonna be dead to me for a good while lmao. But to be fair, most other games are gonna be dead to me for a good while lmao.
@@kennethsjvold9212 I’ll be honest, I do think having limited stash still sucks. But with the changes from this last season, I haven’t had to many issues with stash space. And I have every char leveled with gear for different builds. But they are all at point or past that point where the only gear that matters now is double or triple GA’d items. Which I will either use/brick, or sell if I don’t plan on using. As much I enjoyed certain aspects of this last league in Poe I still had to buy around 3 more quad tabs for all the damn corpses. Bright side to that is I made a ton off of them.
And is still came out like buggy trash and even the new season was so bugged the played base damn near died off. Again. D4 is a pindrop from dying. It'll happen sooner rather than later. Bank on it.
This review is awesome. Fast, straight to the point, but still honest and relaxing and debating the most important topic: If it's just fun to play. ❤ And also it is insanely exclusive - that you've been given the opportunity to play in this development stage. Thank you Darth. I did play PoE 1 just 40 hours couple years back but it seems that PoE 2 will be game I cannot miss.
Looks absolutely awesome, if nitpicking I hope for some sort of colorblind feature helping with orientation. Like a optional colored contour of players, Hard to say without playing the game but I feel I could "loose my character" from the footage. As my 9/9 vision is a thing of the past. Seems like in Co-op you can't rely on the screen always being centered on yourself. Thanks DMT. Have been waiting for some footage from the event, well delivered :D
I remember the old ARPGs that you would play with a friend on the PS2, like Dark Alliance 2, such good times, this is going to be that game for the kids of today, honestly looks like such a blast to play and the fact you can drag your afk friend around is such a big QoL that every game should have
This is going to be a beast of a game to contend with. I’m looking forward to playing it on my PC and with my different console friends. The fact they’re making gameplay/account transferable between them is fantastic and so much more convenient and accessible. Some times I just don’t want to sit at PC and prefer slouching on my sofa.
Even though I don't think I will be playing couch co-op I'm quite impressed with how much thought and effort was put into making it. Little things like one button trades or pulling your friend around when they need to get up off the couch makes things more enjoyable. Always felt bad when someone's mom called for them and game play had to stop for everyone till they got back.
You can see that people working there have a lot of good ideas and know how to implement them. To separate this game form the original PoE was the best decision ever. Can't wait!
imo its not, they shold've kept POE1 style, but hey its all about the $$ and they are riding the elden ring casual vibe, i don't like it, its a discrase to the franchise and old POE1 players
@@xpslice Old PoE 1 players still will have PoE 1. PoE 2 is for people that would never play PoE 1 or have been played for a while and stopped being lost in millions of unnecessarily complicated mechanics which many times do the same thing like 10 ways to upgrade your gear so at the end you don't have even idea what to farm.
This is sooo amazing, DM. Thank you for your thoughts. PoE is so daunting for me, and if I don’t follow a guide to a T, I’m screwed. I need to have 2 or 3 different things running on my computer to be able to play it effectively. I often call it Path of Excel, lol! Definitely a daunting game for new players. This seems to be right up my alley!
It looks so cool. Will the "early access" in November actually be early access which means the game will be worked on while being live, or do you think it will be more like a beta which will close again and that we get a full release date way later or something?
The game will not be "complete" (though almost there) once Beta goes live, it will still be actively worked on and more stuff will be added (i.e reworked PoE1 leagues, the remaining 4 classes etc). According to Jonathan, there won't be a gap between beta and full launch (only a few hours or so apparently for maintenance). There will be a couple wipes/resets during beta, however.
its a CLOSED beta, it will not be open to everyone in november. that'll probably be half a year later. Though you can probably buy into the closed beta.
The early access will be just like PoE1 when it was released in beta more than likely. Back then the campaign wasn't even "complete" compared to modern PoE. Dominus was the end of the campaign.
@@tkharris4900 but D4 is not a good game, so you wouldn't want to play it with your friends, at least not longer than one or two evenings after it gets reeeeeal boring...
It is honestly crazy to think how little we`ve seen of this game so far and yet it seems like it is going to be one of the best games in its genre for atleast a decade.
u mentioned setting up combos with ur coop partner, does that mean for example, one player can hit enemies with grease and the other player can then ignite the grease with fire?
This looks really really nice. Can't wait to play. ARPGs are fantastic right now. When I get sick of D4, PoE is there with a new season, when I get sick of PoE, D4 is there with a new season. It's great.
Nice to see ACTUAL development for consoles and not just a port. POE plays fine on console but all menu/inventory management/trade stuff is an utter nightmare. Its all so bad, I stopped playing the game on console years ago. This actually looks well done, bout damn time!
So is it more beneficial to play solo but with a split screen character on follow so you get double the loot on your main and you can level an alt at the same time?
If that ends up being possible / obv it is by just plugging in a new controller it's possible there are implementations that nerf this that we don't know about yet because it hasn't been tested.
@@YouMayBeSeatedif you look at the gameplay it is obvious that regular monster are not getting one shot lol But yeah there is a risk that using dual characters may be optimal. I think that adjusting the extra enemy life, the stun bar and item quantity make help against this
@@dmdiablo4 thx for confirmation. That makes sense I guess. Will be interesting to see if a meta evolves which one to go first because some area bosses are just harder later on or vice verca. Pretty neat.
@@Sephiroso. as far as I understand it yeah. Also for the part of the campaign where you can choose to go to say 3 different places at the same time. If you complete one the other 2 areas monster levels increase so you don't easily over level them.
The mention about quests being in RNG locations throughout the playthrough sounds fine for 1, 2 or even 3 characters but if we have to go through all acts like in POE1 for every season for every different class then I can't think of anything worse than quests & Exits being in a random locations and you have to explore the whole map just to progress.
I mean they're in random spots in poe1 as well because theres a few set tile setups for each zone. Everyone learns trcks to find them quickly though so I dont see why that wouldn't be the case in poe2 as well.
@@Deminese2 That isn't what is being discussed. The thing that is changing is the world map itself. For example, in poe 1, you are always traveling north in act 1 because it i has a static world map. In poe2, outside of some specific land marks and the borders, the world map is randomly generated every league. There is more on this from 2019 Exilecon when they announced this feature. Then it was a per character shuffle, but they changed it into a per league shuffle due to it causing issues with party play and party members having different world map layouts.
@@snocone5721 Yes and that can be shuffled all it wants, if you know the crit path for those zones its still fast. These maps always have indicators or tricks.
My biggest fears are the "randomized" maps and world, it runs the risk of having the whole game feel very generic. I always prefer a handcrafted experience, over a randomized areas... But I realize that this change is not targeting me, it's targeting the people who blast the game and replay it non-stop.
WoW there is space in the top left corner as well for adding 2 more players belt and life/mana balls! so up to 4 players on one screen would be fun addition!
I really like the fact that despite console players being a minority of Path of Exile players, GGG still took the time to make a full-fledged coop console mode. Props to them!
I play on pc myself. But i have my PC set up to my TV as my display. Being able to local coop on PC with controller and having proper controller/console UI is a huge deal. Honestly i can not wait
12:00 If he has his skill window up, and you run across to other side of screen to progress, does his menu stay up or him being moved forces it closed? Does it indicate you are being hi, like if you dragging him puts him in a poison pool?
Mr. Darth, it's great to hear your thoughts - I'm very excited for this game. Could you reupload the gameplay footage you have in another video, I think you pulled this from Twitch and the quality is terrible (at least for me but what I think is happening is universal). I'd love to see what gameplay you captured at it's original quality because the game is so gorgeous.
POE 2 will have a new speed run method, it will so involve people picking what quests are best to do early as they are more difficult or because the one's that level up are worth more levelled up.
I am SO HAPPY that controller support is already looking good in this game. I cannot love POE1 on controller (menuing and slotting gems, specifically really suck). Very excited to try this game out!
I know this may be an odd question but is the movement of the left analog stick multi directional like Diablo 4,PoE1, LE or do you have to use the right analog stick to aim in the direction too? Personally speaking, I prefer just to use the left analog stick with slight auto aim like in poe1, D4, LE.
