Having the input of a new player like Asmongold during the Return to World campaign is incredibly interesting and fascinating to watch.

2:54:13 for those whom do not know you can use tranq bomb before trapping the monster. 2 tranqs then trap and you wont ever have a monster break out of a trap again while trying to capture it. Works really well if the monster is sleeping

MHW the first game he plays that he says he is going to play from an ever growing list spanning the past 4+ years of waiting. Thanks Asmon

just one thing I find, whenever Asmon says "easiest game of my life" he is having so much fun with it.

I am convinced that Asmon is never going to look slightly to the right to see captured monsters. Also I nearly lost my mind at Bazelgeuse casually dropping a talon on his first encounter.

Asmon is more likely to stumble upon evade window and farm it out to get level 5 than to ever use the tackle.

The pickle was the first major wall I myself and many others experienced in MHW. Most monsters before deviljho are nowhere near as aggressive as him. So it catches alot of new hunters off guard. Usually the hunter, hunts. Fighting deviljho, the monster hunts you.

this is by far the best series imo asmon has played since vampire survivors

I wish Asmon would look up how to do the shoulder tackle for Great Sword, it really opens up the combat for that weapon. You can use it to i-frame through monster attacks or skip straight into True Charge Slash. Regardless though, he's doing so well. As a MH veteran, no cap, he's doing AMAZING for his first time

man I remember my first bazel invasion. The Classic nose dive out of nowhere and instant kill in the wastes before finding pukei. Wish he wasn't so tame in rise

It's fun to see him discover the depth of the game, it looks basic on the surface, but there is alot going on once you get into it.

i cant tell you how happy i am to see you play Monster hunter, i love this franchise so much and im a big fan of you, this make me very happy to see you like the game

I do hope he starts talking to the npcs with the "!" so he starts upgrading and unlocking even more life improvement features, even doing the optional stuff because sometimes main quests can get stuck behind some optional quests

For a complete newbie to the MonHun, Asmon did a lot of progress in these 4 streams. I spent at least twice as much time grinding out gear i would swap in next 3 hunts. He will probably hit a bit of a wall when he get to Elder dragons, due to specific mechanics like wind pressure, but i can see him completing the game and going for more in Iceborne.

I love how we see him grow. Grinding monsters for an upgrade for the first time. Eating consumables. He started using shoulder tackle to speed up his charges. Before you know it he will be a real one. At this point he would greatly benefit from joining sos flares when he hunts monsters again. Thats how i always did it. Solo to prove that i can and then multi afterwards for fun. Plus, multiplayer teaches you a ton because you see others do things.

I'm glad you picked up this series, its one of my favorite games series ever made! You help refresh peoples interest in this game breathing new life into the playerbase. Thank you.

Need to always be in a wide area when you're fighting a monster. Also a certain slinger pods do certain effects against monsters. Like water, slender pods will actually extinguish the fire inside of angina and smell. If you do it at the right time, where does he goes to do a swing thrower and actually flinch shot em and make him fall over

He is truly a monster hunter fan now,. The titles are not "trying" monster hunter anymore. It's trying the in game challenges. He truly is part of the community now

Enjoying watching him play this. Monster Hunter World was my first MH game too and he got into it just like I did. He's doing really well too.

If he’s going main greatsword he has to know about weak points. He bangs his sword against pink rathian’s torso like its dual blades.

Im so happy he has kept it going. I fogured he would like the gameplay once he started figuring it out

Weve seen him play through the start of the game, learned to do a gs combo attack, learned to dodge and time his attacks, watched him learn that he can use the true charged slash to deal more damage to sleeping monsters, watch him learn how to use the vigorwasp and what it does to him, watched him use the traps for the first time and capture monsters. There are still some things he needs to learn but I'd rather he discover it on his own. Its entertaining and you feel proud at the same time when you watch him discover things that would make his hunts easier and would make him playing this game fun

He seems to struggle most with brute wyverns while he pretty easily deals with the flying wyverns

Just waiting for him to discover the fast town travel with the elevator lol. When i figured that out it was life changing. Also your doing so well man, every episode you are figuring out and mastering that GS and combos. Just need to practice with slinger for more openings

Considering hes gone this far its definitely a great game as always. I cant wait for him to do BEHE later and hear the signature Roar but in the voice of a person. Its weird but I can hear something like that in it.

it would help if you started using your slinger more. you can use it to get to shortcuts, flash monsters out of the sky, stagger and flinch them, or get rid of any invading monsters with dung bombs so it's not 2v1. eventually, if you do play Iceborne, you are going to need it since it is one of your strongest combos, being able to get a free flinch and go into a true charge

I'm so happy that Asmon is playing this. After being away for almost 2 years, I've returned to this game, and it still holds up so well nowadays. I still get a little anxious when he doesn't use the slinger, but now I know the real struggle of playing in M+KB, controls feel so janky. My gamepad unfortunately isn't working anymore. 💀

Asmond if you see this Armor in this game is mainly for perks,skills and defense That’s why most people use armor with high jewel slots It allows you to have max out skills like max attack boost or divine blessing

So many glorious moments to be had by Asmon! Silver Rathalos, Golden Rathan, Velkhana, Rajang, Raging Brachy, Lunastra, Fatalis, and so much more!!

Gotta admit the attempt to fight HR Bazel while wearing LR Armor was super heroic and courageous and he actually survived WAY longer than I expected in that first encounter. The repeated 1-shots afterwards was more on par for the circumstance😅 Gotta get some HR armor and level up the defense, get some comfort skills and throw in some damage decos; watching a new player experience this is always fantastic.

watching this man play this game for 10+ hours using ONE combo from all the attacks and mixes he can make and actually getting some where is a miracle on its onw

I’ve been playing MH since 04 and watching him play has made me want to play and get back into, his progression reminds me of my first ever character using SnS I hit buttons to win

He’s getting a lot better but he needs to watch a greatsword guide. He’s gonna want the more advanced tips for the higher rank monsters.

Optional quests unlock new gear like mantle that if you hit monsters while having the mantle on you get many drops that can be sold for gold easy money. There are so many items that can help.. Like rocksteady mantle giving super armor and some defense... Temporal mantle which makes you auto dodge attacks when you get hit Attack mantle which gives you more s but if you dodge an attack you get a buff that amplifies your damage Sooo much more... Optional quests are the bomb to upgrade canteen and the farm and unlocking so many tools.. Also he can now get powercharm and armorcharm which if he has just in his inventory will boost his attack and defense..later they can be upgraded to powertalon and armortalon and then they can be bought again the 2 charms to stack powercharm armor charm with the crafted talons.

his refusal to learn the moveset of his weapon is starting to get a bit grating at this point. This guy plays games for a living, surely it can't be that hard for him to learn to incorporate a couple of new moves.

Lemne tell you something, as a great sword main, there is a massive dopamine hit when you land that true charge shot and the monster either fall or flinches away from you

Watching Asmon play kind of makes me want to pick up GS again. That and Hammer were once my mains, but ever since Tri, I've mained the Switch Axe, while sometimes switching to Charge Blade.

You should do optional quests as soon as they're available, you won't want to go back later and do them when you're way stronger than you should be

The way he chose to handle bazelgeuse in the expedition early on was perfect. Expeditions are the best way to train against new monsters, as fainting bears no real consequences.

i think someone should tell him about the side farms and chef upgrades and the argosy he is missing important quality of life like steady honey for mega potions and seed so he doesn't have to constantly pick up every item and focus on the fights

I love in this game how everything can be going great and you feel like a badass then immediately whiff 10 hits in a row

Waiting patiently for the moment he realizes the tackle is a game changer for setting up the last charge attack and that it has super armor so you can sholder tackle a roar or a hit to set up a better attack

Really don't remember what it was that made me stop playing this game. I binged 100+ hours in such a short span, I was addicted to this game and I honestly didn't remember much from my experience but watching this play through has brought back so many amazing memories of why I loved this game so much. This is a perfect illustration of Asmongold not being willing to ever read any tutorial or test out weapon moves to learn something new. I can already see him trying to fight Rajang or Raging Brachy on GS without knowing how to use the slinger or the shoulder bash on GS and complaining about how dumb the game is.

Bazelgeuse is my favorite monster from MHW by far. It has incredible fight mechanics. The flavor behind its design and behavior are amazing. Most importantly it's name is ripe for nicknames.

He's hooked. I have faith. Just wait till he gets to the endgame, it's going to be so epic watching him take on everyone's two favorite dragons.

u need to gather tracks more and watch your minimap, when your tracks are maxed the monster will show a skull icon on the minimap when its ready to catch.

Hey Asmon, I am so glad you enjoy the game. I've been playing mh Games for almost 20 years and love to see you progressing and discovering new things. This made me watch streams again. I won't spoil you with any tips or tricks though. I guess it's more fun to figure out those things for yourself.
