Welcome to the first and possibly last annual South Korean Ice Cream Awards! I collected some interesting ice creams sold here in South Korea and a couple of Baskin Robbins flavours that are only exclusively sold in Korea to compete for the most coveted first place. There is no prize for first place, just the smug knowledge that they were the best ice cream this year. I even managed to find an ice cream that was an amazing knock off of a childhood favourite ice cream that I used to eat back in Australia when I was young.

Viennetta is common in Sweden! I ate it as a kid(my mom is a big fan of it) and it still exists today. Haven't eaten one in a few years now though.

True!! In Spain we also have the Vienetta ice cream and we also eat it during special occasions like for birthdays, Christmas... We call it 'tarta helada condesa'

I'm very late to this but the first thing I noticed was the Spanish flag on the box ?? I don't think I've ever seen that brand in supermarkets here, I don't know how it made it all the way over there 😅😅 greetings from Spain ✨🌸

this is so funny bc here in italy (where the famous brand who produces the viennetta ice cream come from) the viennetta is not so special at all, its very common and i didn't think it's sold outside of europe!! btw the tea one looks incredibly tasty and im so ENVIOUS AAAAH

Oooooh! We've also had Vienetta ice cream when I was a kid, but only on very special occasions!!! Not for Christmas or Easter, but for other holidays and as a rare family treat. I remember my Mom cutting very thin slices so it would last us longer when the times were tough lol Me and my siblings called it an ice cream cake xD I'm from Poland btw, and they still sell it here!

Love Asian food reviews! starting to be ice cream weather here in the UK, we do have vienetta here and they came out with a caramel biscuit flavour late last year. Tell your BF his hair is gorgeous btw 😊

That Baskin Robbins carton makes a classic Neapolitan look tame by comparison. They used to have Viennetta here, but I haven't had it since I was a kid. Those boba bars look so good. I'm jelly.

That ice cream cake looked amazing! I had started learning the Hangul alphabet last year, and wanted to learn Korean. But I had some health stuff come up and couldn't keep going. Now that I'm better I am taking it up again so maybe one day I will comment in Korean!

At last, a food review video when I'm actually already eating the same thing so I don't get all jealous and go and spend £30 on treat food! I'm eating Cookie Dough though so much less exciting- are there Korea exclusive flavours of Ben & Jerry's also? I really missed your Annual Ice Cream reviews so thank you for bringing it back. I'd buy Ice Cream, cookies, candy bars & wouldn't eat them in months as well or let them expire cause it's been over a year. I'm not dieting or anything like that. I just don't feel like eating it or it's not the right time for my body to handle them. I like to buy these things for my inner child. The Streusel Bread Ice Cream looks really interesting & tasty. But I would like you to bring Nichola & Hugh back :(

Wow! I haven't seen Viennetta in about 25 years. It used to be sold in the US under the Breyer's brand, but it is now back and sold by Good Humor. Our family also only had it on special occasions.

Viennetta ice cream is now sooo much whiter than the one you have here and it's not as quality as it used to be. It's like frozen frothed milk now. This one looks so much creamier than the Aussie one and double the size.

That vienetta ice cream came back on quarantine in indonesia, my family also used to eat it on special occasions because it's considered as an expensive ice cream here so i'm glad they're bringing it back when i'm older

Oh wow, my aunt had 3 baskin Robbins stores when I was younger and she and her partner ran them for about 30 years. But I had no idea they had flavors that were only available in other countries! The more you know lol 😆

"We only ate it on special occasions" - this is peak British behaviour. Now that I'm an adult and I can eat Viennetta whenever I want, I love it but every couple of months, it's like a "Yeah, I'll buy a Viennetta, I could go for some" but it felt like a huge deal when I was a kid! 😂

Viennetta is sold in Aus and NZ and it doesn't taste good anymore as it's made in Spain or something. The ice cream is ok but the chocolate pretty sure is compound so it's not worth buying anymore.
