Thanks for the information. Was in the process of signing a contract to work for them. Was hoping to supplement my income. But seems like a big headache, plus they take a retainer of $75 per job. That they can legally keep for up to a year after your contract is up with them. I already have experience installing guards. I’m just going to install them myself under my company. I charge a fraction of what they do. And I use a better product.
They can only retain your pay if you sign the dotted line. If you need help finding customers check out my video. You can use the same strategies I discuss for gutter guards. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rzHCLH9Gf78.html
Don’t go with Leaf Filter, and I’m here to say why. I had them installed only on my back patio gutter, and it was $3,000. That was just a year ago this past March, and the gutter is already clogged. So I called them to have someone sent here to fix that. They said it would cost me $97, because my one year warranty was up. So much for their so called “Lifetime No Clogs Guarantee” 😑
The filter probably had debris on your filter. The gutters usually don’t clog with the filter. Also, that’s a standard service fee literally any other company out there utilizes. If you were to call a plumber ir a cable guy they would charge you a service fee too lol
I could never work for them because i could not lie. The guy that came to my house said he had 3 kids and one on the way. Hope he doesnt teach them to lie and scam like he did to me. Dont trust them. Say no!!!
Neighbors were suckered into paying $27.60/foot for Leaf Filters screens. Costco sells very similar screens for $1.50/foot. Installation ain't rocket science.
Good video. You almost lost me but the gas tax is good information. After that you saved a good worker like me from ripping other hard working Americans off .
I've worked for them on and off for five years. Gas allowance is definitely listed separately. Always has been. The product is quite expensive, but that is the ONLY thing this guy says that I can agree with. You can make great money as an installer. $100,000/yr working 5 days per week is completely achievable in most areas that the company has an office. Plus, as with most sub contractor positions, you can work as little or as much as you want, with little to no forewarning to the company. Idk man, this guy sounds like a send off
It may have worked for you but my research has found stories that show each office is run different. The 1099 they sent me had no separation for gas allowance I had to pay taxes on that money.
It doesn’t sound like you know much about gutters, installing gutters, or business taxes. Grow up and learn. Stop bad mouthing a company that gave you a chance to be in business as a contractor for them when you didn’t know anything about what you were doing.
It is a garbage scam product sold by a garbage scam company.... Sounds like you are a garbage scam person who is protecting the company for some reason that I'm sure has to do with lining your pockets through them.
Advertisement says won’t have to clean out your gutters ever again but they don’t mention all the debris stuck to their insulation bolts and ridges on top of the guards everything sticks.
