To make it vegan add a chia egg. !tbsp. of chia seeds to 3 tbsp of water. let sit for 10 minutes, voila an egg. Love chia eggs in cookies they add a little bit of crunch too.

Thanks for this great video. Definitely need more like these. Imagine the pulp burgers might get old after a while. Here's a friendly tip I learned in culinary school for cracking eggs open, never used the sharp edge of a bowl or pan because that pushes the shell into the egg, instead use a flat surface like a counter.

Just an idea, but maybe if you add a cornstarch/potato starch slurry instead of the egg it would bind it just the same. That would make it vegan, then

You could try oats, ground flaxseed, extra breadcrumbs - all these things become gluey when combined with the moisture from other ingredients

Years ago my mother did the same thing. I have minced lentils in the freezer will make some soon. I re-juice the pulp really dry and mix it into my dog food when I'm done juicing it.

Thanks for the great idea. I use my pulp in spaghetti sauce, and of course carrot cake. It doesn't all have to be carrot, you can mix carrot, beet and apple. yum

I believe it is because they are using a worm composter (a composter with special worms that eat compost and poop out nutritious soil, you can even compost inside with these) and the worms need water.

As an ethical vegan now for 3 years, I just don't get people who will go through the trouble of making "Meat Patties" with veggs, only to add a stolen egg from an animal prisoner, and put it all on a "Brioche" (which also has an egg wash, by recipe) bun?? Why be partially compassionate? I guess that just might actually be the difference between ethical vegans, and vegetarians.

Her aim was to make use of leftover pulp, not necessarily making something vegan as she is a vegetarian not vegan. As a vegetarian also you can contribute a lot to helping environment.

@@strongtower1162 this vegan purist attitude is not going to help anyone. Some people just can't go vegan for several reasons. If someone is making an effort to cut back on animal products instead of giving it up completely then that works too.
