I used my Home Observatory to take a look into the soul of the universe

I finally have astro darkness here in the northern part of Sweden, but the weather is not on my side. Some nights look promising only to be ruined by fog due to the much higher temperature compared to what is normal for this season. I use this time to plan for upcoming videos and targets as well as process data that I’ve been saving from the last season.
So, when I say I looked into the soul of the universe, I meant the Soul Nebula. Located in the constellation Cassiopeia, about 7 500 light years from earth, you will find the Soul Nebula, that together with the Heart Nebula fill up an area of about 300 light years and is often called the Heart and Soul.
Data for this image: 23x300s S-II, 43x300s Ha, 53x300s O-III.
Total number of exposures 119 with a total integration time of 10 hours.
Processing: PixInsight with SHO palette with SHO stars.

Outstanding astrophotography my friend. I am very impressed and you should be very proud of your results. Long time amateur astronomer myself with my 3rd now, roll off roof observatory. Keep them coming

Thank you so much! I am pleased with the results, but you know the next step is very very expensive :D

Hi Martin, Great video and super great final results. That area of the sky for me is quite challenging as I have to look over the city of Savannah and its light-glow. I am working on narrowband filters to help decrease that glow. Your final image knocked my socks off. - Patrick -

Thank you so much! I've tried my best to fine tune my gear to get the best results as well as remove low quality frames. Next step is to get better gear, but it's not possible at the moment :)

Wonderful work as always Mårten. I have Chroma filters on my wishlist as well. I have gone for Antlia filters on my new dual Apo rig as two sets of 2" LRGBSHO Chroma filters costs £11.5k ($14kUSD)😭Maybe Santa will be good to me this year (can but hope anyway!).

Thank you so much! One can wish, but I think I'm stuck with my gear for a while.

Beautiful image!! I agree that the Chroma Oiii is awesome, but the money for "just" the halo problem.. I don't know man. I got the Optolong 3nm filters for my new camera and will be just fine with it :) For now... hehe

Thank you :D It's not just for the halos, you get so much more details with the better filters. But we will see what the future holds.
