As someone who’s grown up with the Harry Potter books, I’ve always imagined Nick as James Potter so when I saw the movies I was heavily disappointed to see some 40 year old man playing him rather than famous youtuber nickisnotgreen

If they actually casted 21 year olds for the imagery of Harry's parents in the movies, their deaths would have hit so much harder. Imagine Harry meeting his parents with the Ressurection Stone to find they look just like kids, they look like himself and the rest of his friends when fighting the Battle of Hogwarts.

(just a side note, he is hardly in the movies/books, so you're being fan casted for the fannon version of him not the cannon one.)

I used to use Wattpad a lot when I was younger and “faceclaims” always made me uncomfortable because you’re using someone’s likeness without their permission. A lot of group roleplays required you to choose a faceclaim for your character so that the person running the roleplay could make a chapter listing all of the characters with portraits included, but I preferred to just describe what my character looked like because I felt uncomfortable using someone’s face without their permission (and I also had more creative freedom that way). However, in retrospect, I think a lot of people liked faceclaims so that they could ship their own character with whichever character had their celebrity crush as a faceclaim, but, at the time, that went right over my young demi self’s head.

When Nick read that Sirius was Conan Gray, my mind immediately went to Conan O'Brian and I was so confused.
