Agree TOTALLY!!!! Mme Gencer was just beyond words fabulous! I don't care what digital recordings can bring to us ....I much prefer the sound of these recordings if I can listen to beloved Leyla!

These Gencer full productions are simply fabulous! Where do you get all these ancient full performances??? Our good fortune!!! I have listened to so many of them. She is a revelation. That Lady Macbeth....stupendous! And this, too...fabulous. All the casts are over the top great. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy such great performances again...so long after they were first done.

No comprendo por qué Gencer cantaba casi siempre con tenores tan mediocres. Tuvo más suerte con los barítonos, las mezzos y los directores, pero los tenores...
