I watched Go Ahead Eagles vs PEC Zwolle in a huge derby day fixture in the eredivisie, as an English fan watching - it was class! Follow My Socials 👇 Instagram - / fusion_josh Twitter - / fusionjosh_ TikTok - / fusionjosh
@@jasonbourne7429 Thats not completely right tho, what is right is that we only sing when our team needs us or to celebrate (like its supposed to be). And not like other teams in Netherlands only sing so you can say on social medial "we have song more than you" and dont give a fuck about the match itself. Like this guy in the comment above says, you can only make an atmosphere to inpress the away end, and so what if they arent there you own team doesnt need the support? You all just small children making it a contest who sung the most and had the "best support"
That fan manager is Jannie, she is a disabled person who excites the audience. She runs with a big flag and everybody sings: Jannie maakt ze gek olé olé (jannie drives them crazy ole ole)💛❤🦅
was waiting for this! the last minutes hurt too much as a PEC fan. Still really sad it wasn't a proper derby since there were no visitors, but glad you did get to experience it from their side.
Go Ahead Eagles are a very underrated team. They're very overlooked by people from other countries and I think they deserve more attention. They've been performing very good in recent months and I won't be surprised if they play in Europe next season
I am a huge PEC Zwolle fan and the end of the game was really annoying. But the stadium of Go Ahead Eagles and the atmosphere is a great one for every football fan. Even if it's the 'wrong club'. Love your videos dude! Legend.
Thank you for visiting our club, I was on the B-side that game. The atmosphere, the love for the club combined with our English style makes every game incredible. Without the away fans it was a bit less extreme than it would be normally. But it's very fun to see how foreigners look at us!
The Dutch goverment is going for an all awayfans ban. Several clubs were not or are still not allowed to bring the normal amount of fans. They are destroying it.
So i am from Germany and made a trip to Deventer today (1h away from my hometown) and I defenetly had to visit de Adelaarshorst. This stadium is a really nice and special ground and it is really different to most of the other dutch stadiums. So if you life near Deventer you have to give the Go Ahead Eagles Stadium a visit. Sadly the big fanstore they have is only open on Wednesdays. But they've got an great online store aswell
PSV's Philips Stadium is also located in a blue collar residential area. Quite a magnificent sight to see the rather modern stadium rising up from behind 20th century houses.
My father never really watches any youtube channels, let alone follow any actively! But after I showed him your Twente coverages my father (and my brother too even!) immediately started following your channel due to your amazing reports on Dutch football atmosphere! Thanks alot for these videos and bringing my family and so many others great coverage on cities, stadiums and atmospheres in the Netherlands! Much love
Great vid once again, been enjoying all of them for the past 3 months mate. Would love to see you visit an ajax home match this season! (Even though you already went 2 years ago)
Adelaarshorst is without a doubt one of the finest remaining stadiums in this country. Even just watching it on TV, a packed stadium and a good matchup really bring you back to what footy's all about. Well, most of it :P
Got a new subscriber, love your vids. Man you gotta visit our stadium this season. Maybe for the knvb cup match against nec Nijmegen. It is the last year we will be playing on our old ground (also a classic english stadium, its only a bit more rough). Hopefully i willl see you in Leeuwarden! 🎉
i’m a pec zwolle fan and i definitely dislike the eagles but i could never hate their stadium. it’s genuinely one of the best stadiums of the eredivisie, absolutely beautiful atmosphere as well
I don’t know if you remember, but a couple years ago you came to Bulgaria for the Bulgarian cup final between Levski Sofia and CSKA. Well, the player who assisted the winning goal for Levski in that final plays for PEC Zwolle in this match.
Hoe erg we elkaar ook haten, zonder elkaar geen IJsselderby. Als Eagles supporter ben ik blij dat we beide zo'n fanatieke aanhang hebben, dat maakt het nog meer beladen en intenser!
Away fans, to me, is one of my favorite elements of this sport, both as an away fan supporter and seeing them add to the atmosphere at home matches. Some places really need to figure out how to make that work. (UEFA requiring at least 5% of stadiums be allocated to away fans is something that everyone should apply.)
you should try visiting the quick boys grounds in katwijk some time! they are a 2nd division team but they played a brilliant match against AZ recently. it is also the field where the dutch national team used to train on!
I live in Deventer. I know you came for the footie. But if you take the other exit at the train station you will find yourself in one of the nicest “old town centers” in the Netherlands!😊
In the 60's Go Ahead played their first international games against Celtic. In the 90's supporters were close with Aberdeen and there was a tartan away kit. And also in the 2018-19 season Eagles had a tartan away kit.
They were all jumping around due to a regular song go ahead fans sign. "wie niet springt is voor Zwolle" "who isn't jumping supports Zwolle (PEC Zwolle)
