Plus this situation is more serious than the average situation we've seen him in. Sabaody was a stroll in the park, marineford was a shared responsibility. Now this, this is Ohara 2.0 and he's got his boss waiting for results too lol.
@@luiscruz3261Lol stop glazing kid. Kizaru wasn’t afraid to take on Kaido and Big Mom in a 2v1, Luffy isn’t the cause for this. If you actually read the chapter instead of just watching one piece through RU-vid videos, you’d see that his face darkens and becomes more serious when he talks about how he wished he could have saved his friends
nope. imho Oda simply liked them and shows us their talent is true. even tho it s not a talent like Luffy's ( haki talent - and better tutelage too - is a different beast )
Minority Hunter inspires me.. My parents said if i get 50K followers They'd buy me a professional camera for recording..begging u guys , literally Begging...
He will have to break off the fight in my opinion before Zoro gets serious otherwise Lucci will get killed. My opinion is that Lucci will be backstabbed by someone when he is weakened by the fights or something else, he will die by a member of CP or a disguised double agent if front of the Strawhats, stealing Luffy, Zoro, Robin, and Franky's revenge for what happened earlier.
We never saw Luffy's initial reaction with Greenbull. When we saw him watching the fight, he was already aware of his presence so there was no need for him to go like "someone very strong is here". As for Fujitora, he already had his first impression of him in the casino, he was already aware that he was not a normal old man, minus the fact that Fujitora was an admiral. As for Kizaru, Luffy was kind of caught off guard, Kizaru literally flew in at the speed of light, so Luffy was surprised when he suddenly sensed someone powerful was closing in out of knowhere. I don't think he was scared or worried, he was just surprised because it was so sudden.
That, & just because Kizaru & Green Bull are both admirals does not mean they are equals. I'd bet it's OG 3 > Fuji >> Green Bull (with GB surpassing Fuji after a while)
@@blackwind92hmmm, interesting. I don't know that I see particular reason to put Fuji below the original 3, and I certainly don't know why you think Greenbull is set up for massive growth. Aside from the plant pun, I guess. Yeah, not sure I agree with this take.
@@calliopeshif7581 Just circumstance re: Fuji. He's obviously strong as hell, but in their mad dash to rebalance the scales after losing 2 Admirals, I doubt they found actual equals that quickly. & I'm honestly expecting the story to end/him to die before GB gets any massive growth. But he's young(er), so I'm assuming he should eventually, if he could 🤷♂️
@@blackwind92that’s a good point the og 3 admirals r close in age and rose through the ranks around the same time so it would make sense for them to be relatively equal but green bull is much younger then fujitora and we dk how long either of them have had their powers so it could be very possible that Fuji has a lot more experience with his fruit and in general as well as much better haki but seeing how gb is an admiral and considered a monster the same as fuji I can’t see him being that much below fuji
Kaku's pride as a giraffe and his genuine belief that giraffe's are awesome has to have played a part in his awakening and resonance with his fruit. No one else has shown as much pride in their fruits, Blackbeard coming in a close second with the darkness fruit.
If you don't think Kaku is a genius devil fruit user, go back and watch his fight with zoro at enies lobby. Man was pulling out new abilities left and right. Pasta machine went hard af.
Just the fact that he was that skilled with his df usage after only having it for maybe a few hours shows how intelligent and skilled he is as a df user
Another point for Kaku being one of the most talented inante devil fruit users on the seas is that he literally not only figured out all his transformations and how to use them and which situations they were best for, he also developed multiple, multiple special attacks that literally no one else would figure out from being a giraffe man for a couple hours
@@Stachelbeeerchen even tho hes literally a highly trained secret agent assassin lol. I find it endearing that even tho it's his job and what he's naturally skilled with and it allines with his morals he'd much rather try to talk it out or solve things without violence if he could, and doesn't care to appear dangerous or scary, he already knows he's deadly so he doesn't need tough guy posturing
This is thanks to his love of giraffes/animals, it literally could not be anymore perfect compatibility than this. Its like with luffy when he got gum gum, who would have thought of inflating themselves with air when they acquired rubber properties, or ever thought of the gear system, no one else would have thought of doing any of these other than luffy.
The Luffy freaking out over a strong character heading this way is a parallel to shanks freaking out over Kidd's attack. He was worried for all the weaker crews, similarly Luffy was worried if anyone other than himself was to face Kizaru first. After everything in Wano, it'd be really weird for Luffy to panicking about his own safety.
no, no it was not, it was clearly implied multiple times that shanks was scared for his crew, from the future sight, to the statement from one of his fleet members. Luffy was not shown neither implied to have used future sight, and his statement was very straight forward. "Someone very strong is coming" meaning that person is a threat to everyone, including him. Thats it. Not "someone who is strong enough to hurt my crew is coming" not "Someone is gonna hurt you guys". Nothing like that, stop tryna maneuver around the the obvious fact to push your goofy agendas
@@Call911pleaseeI don't think you understood what the commenter meant when they said that luffy was parallel to shanks in that moment... no one claimed luffy used future sight as it would not make any sense considering the circumstances. I think you're downplaying our main character too much because of personal preferences
Kaku with his awakening speedrun made all the Beast Pirates look like jobers in comparison. Dude did in less than 2 years what they couldnt do in decades!
Honestly i know its a "cope out answer" but king and queen both seem more interested in further their power through different means than the devil fruit King lunarians abilities Queen cybernetic So maybe they never trained their DF
@@ZhongliArchonofSwagbest and the fact that most common Zoan devil fruits likely have a very low skill/power ceiling to reach they're Awakening, and I just don't see the common versions of the devil fruits unlike something like the Nika fruit for the simple fact that it's so flexible and free, or maybe even kaido's Dragon devil fruit that probably need you to surpass the heavens and beyond for waking. Honestly most zoan devil fruit are pretty simple to master compared to the other two devil fruit types.
Kaku was doing weird goofy stuff with his fruit like literally the second he got it, so it makes perfect sense to me that his 'mind and body caught to the potential of his fruit' so quickly in comparison
What if Kizaru is the one who told Sentomaru that he has the strongest defense? Maybe when Kizaru finished teaching Sentomaru and Sentomaru asked him how has he done. Then he said ‘I think you have the strongest defense in the world~ ☺️‘ And Sentomaru is so proud of it that he keeps telling everyone that.
Momo for some reason didn't have to go through the fish stage of the fruit, and knowing that Momo's fruit is "defective" then we can assume that Momo's fruit is just a Dragon Dragon fruit instead of a Fish Fish fruit
I think the shadow that Shaka saw was Caribou and he’s carrying out some sinister plan for Blackbeard who I think he works for. Also I really want to see the Buggy seraphim, he would be so overpowered.
@@yuvrajsingh099 Haki is naturally intertwined with G5 hence why the first thing Luffy did once he transformed was split the skies by himself, so Lucci lasted quite a while against G5 while he was using haki. If you meant no advanced haki in regard to Lucci, then it is highly likely he has advanced armament, he is a masked member of CP0 after all. Also King was only really durable when his flame was up and he was effectively immortal. Once King dropped his flame to attack he was very easy to knock out and (i may be very wrong but) iirc it only took zoro 2-3 hits to knock out King once he dropped his flame. Lucci on the other hand is an awakened Zoan which gives him massive increases to his defence and durability so while he may not be effectively immortal he traded insane levels of durability when not attacking and no durability when he is attacking to being slightly less durable but able to attack all the time
I hope we get to see the name reveals of the Vice Admirals that participated the invasion of Egghead Island aside from Doll, the lady who casually kicked a Pacfista unit in the head.
I feel after Timeskip, everyone is like super over-powered. We know the Timeskip is for the SH crew to become stronger and on par with Admirals but seems like everyone has to be powered-up suddenly. Like it doesn't do justice for the SH crew. Pre-Timeskip, we see the WB taking down VA like a bowling ball taking down pins and post time-skip, even VA can just kicked a pacifista unit. And what about Lucci, how does Oda going to justify in him being on-par with Zoro. I would be absolutely mad if a normal Zoan can be more powerful than any of Kaido 3 Ancient Zoans users. They need to nerf the existing users and people with VA ranks. The SH (especially the monster trio + Jimbei & Franky) are "supposed" to sweep everyone aside apart from the Yonkos, Admirals and Yonkos commanders.
I’ve always seen Kizaru as a sadist who enjoyed slowly ending people with his speed. He slowly peppered up Whitebeard with laser shots even though he could have Death Starred him. He likes to inflict maximum pain and despair before terminating them. Aokiji and Akainu do their duty, to varying extremes, Fujitora and Greenbull put things in their “proper” place (Fuji puts things where they were supposed to be and Greenbull does in the way that he keeps oppressive systems in place, keeping people down) but Kizaru is a terrifying outlier. He has no justice system, he’s just the best at what he does and what he does isn’t very nice.
I've got hope for Franky. At the next big war the Straw Hats have he'll most likely show off all sorts of new modifications that were inspired by Vegapunk and all the technology on Egghead, kinda like how Nami's Clima-tact got a major upgrade in Enies Lobby after the introduction of dials in Skypiea
I look forward to seeing Lucci showing off more inventive applications of the Six Powers. I feel like we don't get enough from the non-haki fighting systems.
my favorite thing about kaku is how normal he feels in comparison to the other Cipher Pol members. I mean, he's objectively very weird himself, but compared to people like lucci and the other CP9/CP0 members, he's just a regular guy. you could get lunch with him.
I find it hard to believe the likes of Kaido and Marco hadn't awoken their DF. Also didn't Crocodile introduce the concept of awakened DFs with the Guardian Beasts or whatever they were called in Imepl Down?
I think it makes complete sense for Kaku to awaken his fruit so fast, since he said he really liked giraffes from the very moment he got the fruit powers. If a Zoan fruit can choose its "master", there's no reason not to believe Kaku's fruit chose him
I can see the fight against Kizaru being a defining moment in Luffy further developing his future sight, there's still a huge gap between Shank's future sight and where luffy is, and it's considerably large where Luffy can maybe see a second or two into the future, Shanks can see ten seconds or so. Observation haki thrives when the user is in a tranquil and calm state, and who is more calm and tranquil than Kizaru? (Seriously he looks high all the time) Considering his devil fruit abilities as well it would make sense for him to have a really good future sight to predict where his light should go and how to best use it considering its fairly linear pattern. Now will Luffy get absolutely curb stomped? Probably not, I can see this fight causing confusion with Kizaru if gear 5 gets unveiled again and the chaos making it difficult for Kizaru to properly plan around his abilities and stress him out to a degree much like Katakuri during his fight with Luffy. Honestly I would be super stoked if this is another Haki evolution fight, I always love the deeper dive into how Haki works as now it's decently clear Haki isn't as linear as say the power level system in Dragonball, it's very nuanced and has great utility.
About knocking out York, i would have agreed with you prior to this chapter.. but Sentomaru is specifically higher ranked than control chip holders, and when he was knocked out Kizaru (who was only a control chip holder) was able to directly override his control of the pacifistas. Meaning that yes, if the controller is knocked out then their authority goes with them. If york is knocked out, her orders go with her. The other vegapunks can override those orders.
@@unknownincognito2425 true but the marines are aware as coby for instance has been addressed as being part of sword from chapter 1088 i doubt it wouldn’t be known amongst the top brass
9:50 I feel like Sentoumaru saying he "has the best def in the world" is akin to when Zoro would say "there's nothing I cant cut", its like a self made mantra to hype yourself up and give you a mental image of being impervious or undefeatable
As many have already suggested, I doubt that the fight between Luffy and Kizaru will have a definitive winner. What's more likely is that the two will get a chance to flex a bit, and then something or someone will interrupt the fight. But the final saga so far has been pretty unpredictable, so Luffy defeating an Admiral and finally starting to be respected on the same level as the other Youkous would be pretty cool.
I know the plan is to escape, but that was before Luffy knew kizaru was here, he could very easily tell them “ strawhats…plans have changed, I’m kicking his ass” and then that could possibly have the grand fleet come in to Take care of the fleet outside.
@@ryanstarr2389 Yeah, I'm in favour of the escalation theory. Oda doesn't usually mention that something will shake the world if it's just 2 players involved. But mostly I would love to see some fight punching 😅
It could be that while Kizaru is the person Luffy recognized as strong, it was less about his actual strength and more about the fact that he dealt them such a stinging defeat before the timeskip. Firstly, he's an admiral and as such is a pretty big deal, second he's the only admiral who remains from before the timeskip so he's tough enough to keep his seat, and third he defeated them before. It's like having that one teacher you always feared from elementary school because they were a tough as nails no-nonsense teacher, but coming back to the school after graduation that mental image is still in your mind until you actually meet them again.
OMG, I so appreciate the use of the "to shreds you say" Futurama clip. I don't think I've ever typed this phrase before, but that clip has been living rent-free in my head for years.
@@prabhatdeshmukh9592who tf said he isn’t powerful?💀 his point is that what makes kizaru especially concering to them, is that he single handedly caused what was then the worst day of the straw hat crew’s life, they wouldn’t just forget that
@@aeis3007 That would be just as cool, and what I really expect to happen, but that Parvision theory just has that glimmer of hope since we've never heard that Tom had died or that he had even made it to Impel Down.
@@CriosAntariTom clearly died. That's the main reason Water 7 and Enies Lobby happened. If Tom was alive the wg wouldn't need to look for the blueprints of Pluton to begin with
1:53 - Jokes on you, I'm not wearing anything right now. Though admittedly, that makes your ad for body coverings quite a bit more compelling. Edit: Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Kizaru's nostalgia for the Straw Hat Pirates might be for different reasons than sadistic pleasure or him being a laid back fight junkie. I think it's entirely possible that Kizaru kinda likes them or at least finds them entertaining. Not enough to stop him from trying to kill them, but I feel like Kizaru being kind fond of the Straw Hats is entirely possible.
I will point out that Kizaru started talking while Luffy was super far away and before he could finish Luffy was kicking him /without/ stretching in the next panel. That was a huge amount of distance to cover, a surprising amount of distance. I think Kizaru was caught off guard by how fast Luffy was. Yamato literally awakened his Devil Fruit in hours. He ate the Devil fruit when a child, but spent his entire life in sea prism cuffs until Luffy removed them. When Yamato was fighting Kaido alone while Luffy was eating, he was awakened.
Honestly, Kaku being the best Devil Fruit user (at least best Zoan user) shouldn't be too surprising. Mere hours after eating his fruit, he developed all sorts of techniques making use of abilities that Giraffes Most Definitely Cannot Do (even accounting for how awesome and powerful giraffes are innately). Kaku is simply the best.
About the Seraphim point, the commenter was indicating that since Kizaru can knock out Sentomaru and take SENTOMARU'S command cube to overwrite the Pacificas' commands, it's possible to do so for the Seraphims as well.
I voted for Zoro not to underestimate Rob Lucci but by the logic that Zoro has been very close to Luffy in terms of strength throughout the whole series and even though Luffy got a crazy power up in gear 5 I still believe that Zoro isn’t too far behind.
that shadow reminds me of when the gorosei were seen that one time but were all shadowy, also looks like it might have shape of saturn's hair slightly, I WANNA SEE IT
I can't help but feel a little sorry for Kaku in this chapter; given what Sanji says after bubbling him, Kaku wasn't even aware of what Lucci was plotting, and the guy had just come off from an apparently rough fight. ...I may be a little biased *looks at username* 😁
I think kaku has always been set up as the least worst cipher pol guy. he seemed to genuinely like running around on water 7 and felt something when zoro told him he was fired. at the very least he's definitely not as sadistic as lucci
01:32 is pure gold. As for the fight, I doubt it will be purely about Zoro, as in, it probably won't be an easy fight for Zoro, but at the same time, it probably won't be a fight that Zoro learns something from or walks away from as a better fighter. It will probably play out something like Zoro vs Killer, not like Zoro vs Hody Jones, not like Zoro vs King, with maybe no conclusion at all.
I got to admit I laughed at the clip of the professor from Futurama that you used to predict Saturns reaction to Lucci defeat!! 😂😂. It’s definitely going to be close to that
Might be just me who noticed it, but at 13:30 to 13:40 , you can see the SS Dolphin in the background, which is the trusty spacecraft from Captain Olimar. It's funny to see two of my favorite franchises in the same video, albeit unintentionally 😂
I think you may have missed what was meant by the comment suggesting to knock out York. When Sentomaru was "knocked out" by Kizaru, he (of lower order) overwrote the command for the pacifistas, my guess is that they assumed it would work the exact same way for the Seraphim. Either way I agree that it likely wouldn't though
On the Sanji with a gun at Whiskey Peak, part of my mind whispers that it’s funnier if he was actually aiming it at Usopp in the event the crew sniper shot at Robin with his sling shot. It probably isn’t that but it’s a funny passing thought.
11:39 The command priority always confused me. Lucci *literally* did that to Sentomaru. He knocked out Sentomaru and took control over the seraphim, despite having lower command priority
I really love all of this theory crafting and listening to various theories and ideas is one of my favorite things about being a One Piece fan. I regret not getting involved in this community sooner. I used to live in Japan, but I never read Shonen Jump. I would always wait for the book to release and then catch up. Reading one week at a time (or every other week) is certainly a slow drip, but all of the speculation and interacting with members of the community makes me feel like I am the 中間 of a different kind of crew. I have been a One Piece fan for almost a decade and a half, but have only been interacting with theorists for around two of those years. I can only imagine what these kinds of videos would have been like in the Marineford days...
in those days there weren´t really much op ytubers around tho, marineford was like nearly 15 years ago i think, hard to keep track over such long time period, I was weekly around impel down and by the time most theories were done on forums mostly. I think Arlong park was most likely the biggest one.
The thing with franky not being too involved in egghead makes sense, its the same as when reighly offered to tell luffy about the one piece, they dont want the awnsers to everything spoon fed to them, that takes away the fun of the discovery, it kills the dream
Best devil fruit user ever. Real talk his intro fixing vessels and identifying problems, then when revealed to be a bad guy, states: no just because I was an undercover doesnt mean I didnt do my job properly. I like honesty, so when he lies to the crew kind of didnt like that, (is being undercover considered lying??? *small existential crisis*)
I have a very significant feeling that this arc sees Kizaru defeated and Lucci dead. Lucci’s had a long detailed storyline and his former unbeatable/scary status being overthrown would be amazing.
For the shadow figure, until we get another hint or lead, I think it was S-Bear on orders from York. I could also see it being Saturn, or maybe a BB Pirate, but I feel S-Bear or another Seraphim as part of York's plan fits well. Silhouettes can be particularly misleading and inconsistent in OP imo
The fact that you mentioned that Kaku awakened his fruit in a little over 2 years, made me think about the fact that zoan fruits have a mind of their own and almost seeking out their users. I'm gonna assume that it was mainly to hype up Luffy as fated to have Nika, like this shitty little boy from some village ate the fruit that the world government has been trying to get for many many years. But it could also be an explanation to the fact that many of the awakenings are zoan fruits, cause they actively seek out a user that fits them. All the jailer beasts, Luffy, Lucci and Kaku are all awakened. Kaku did showcase some INSANE creativity in his fight with Zoro back in Enies lobby, and even expressed his love for giraffes. Him having the giraffe devil fruit is almost certainly fated imo.
I noticed that stussy was the first to recognize that lucci was going to attack vegapunk, even with sanjis advanced sense of observation; he wasn’t able to stop lucci. Or maybe he foresaw stussy in action and did nothing, it seems to be a testament to luccis speed
I don’t think you can really use this to judge Lucci’s speed against Sanji’s Observation Haki. Up until that moment, the room was relatively calm, so Sanji wouldn’t have been using his Observation Haki. If Lucci had gone for him or Nami, he probably would’ve sensed it, but Vegapunk was standing on the far side of the room. If I had to guess, Stussy realized Lucci was going for Vegapunk because she was much closer to him and because she is a Vegapunk creation.
I think it's worth pointing out in the ViZ translation Kizaru says his defense is just as good as Sentomaru's, which is interesting. Especially sense he said it while dodging.
Kaido's fruit is the carp carp, its awakening is a dragon because the ability has its roots in the Longmen Legend in which when a carp climbs the falls at the top of the mountain the yellow river runs thru it becomes a dragon
It seemed to me that in the latest episodes kaido implied that the calamities were all awakened when he was explaining awakening to luffy; but commented that he was confused about luffy's presumed-paramecia awakening because his form ascribed more to one that only zoans assumed when awakened. Images of king (curiously in the background), jack, and queen (prominently in the front like a boss) accompanied this statement.
"Awakening occurs when your mind and body catch up to your powers" Catching up to a giraffe power is probably harder than a sun god or an operating room or magnetic waves
Kaku awakening his devil fruit in 2 years broke the theory that you needed to have one for like 10 years minimum to awaken them. Which in turn means the theory of Sabo awakening the Mera-Mera to beat Akainu is back on the table lol.
How have you NOT considered Kaku as a candidate for the best Devil Fruit user before? Don't you remember how insanely creative and effective his abilities were in Ennies Lobby after having a fruit for like, A SINGLE DAY!? The man came up with literally every technique he used in Ennies Lobby on the fly, straight up naming them mid fight too (Something Zoro complained about by the way), and said techniques were giving Zoro some real trouble. That's seriously impressive you know. Admittedly, you could say something similar for Kalifa, but I would argue her techniques were significantly less effective.
1) What if Franky replaces the Cola he uses for energy with greenblood 2) maybe Nami or Usopp for the bubbles? I feel like there could be some technology upgrade to either her staff or his slingshot
