I personally love Twilight because of the books🥰and I only love the first 3 movies, the last 2 make me mad lol. But I can watch the first 3 24/7, no joke😅

I read the books too and wanted to see it on film. Midnight showings were the best. As I said last week...guilty pleasure.

I was in middle school/ high school when the books were coming out and my friends loved them (I was lukewarm on the, until Breaking Dawn) and so we went to see them in theaters. We really enjoyed laughing at how bad the films were.

It was college, a movie to go to with your girlfriends when dating was just beginning to get frustrating. Lol that we thought it would get easier 😅

@@nikkis7375 it doesnt spoil it at all lmao, all but one of the movies (this one, actually) has a major fight scene 😂 Action is a given in this series and the plot leading up to each fight/the outcome is what would make it a spoiler lol. The last book is off the wall crazy, knowing that there will be a fight gives next to nothing away lmao

@@sailordoll1221 Bella and Edward are a classic example of toxic codependency. She's isolated from everyone and only goes to other people when Edward isn't available for her. Edward has foolishly made her the center of his world and when he thinks she's dead immediately jumps to suicide as his answer. When he breaks up with her she goes into a downward spiral, doing stupidly dangerous things just to feed her own hallucinations. Even in the later movies Edward is all for death if Bella isn't going to be alive with him even though he had you know who to take care of. Grieving the loss of a lover is one thing. But both of their responses are very toxic and idiotic and that's what my original comment is geared towards. I even knew that something wasn't right about their relationship at 9 years old. Now that I'm older and have had long term relationships I can see even clearer just how bad of a couple they are. Heck, psychology professors at my university used them as an example of toxic relationships by breaking down their dynamics and exposing their "romance" for what it really is. Toxic. Carlisle in the books was the best character ever. Solid backstory, solid motivations behind every action. Needed more of him. Rosalie too. A whole spin off on Carlisle going through the traumatic transformation, exercise of control and the agony of it, then dedicating his immortality to saving the ones who need help, both human and otherwise. Then finding/saving some of his found family, one by one: Edward during the Spanish Flue pandemic, Esme when she tried committing suicide, Rosalie after rape. Stunning character.

The books, to me, do a much better job at character development than the movies do, and because of that there isn't the same understanding of why the characters come off the... what's a good word... questionable(?) way that they do in the movies. The plot and premise of the movies, from what I can remember, both do a pretty good job at staying (predominantly) on point with what's in the books. - Just my 2 pesos that absolutely nobody asked for, haha

Nah, at least the movies had a little bit of humor in them, the books took themselves way too serious. And I absolutely loved the music in the movies.

Development yes, but there's more abuse and manipulation from all fronts that make it terrible to read and horrifying to ponder when people take it seriously...even Charlie gets worse later on the books...

although the book is better it still had some very questionable writing choices and plot lines to be honest, I remember being shocked at some of the things that were written

I realize they don’t explain quite a few things in the movies lol like when my brother was asking my why the wolves don’t wear shirts so often (which the books explains is because of the clothes ripping situation when they transform). It sure does confuse people who haven’t read the books.

Now that I think about it, I actually do like quite a few of the other characters. Like Esme, Carlisle, and Emmett for example. I just don't like the main three characters which is the problem cause the story revolves around them.

(alice and charlie by my example.) i liked midnight sun more than twilight simply because edwards pov had more to do with the cullens, and that was actually interesting

I'm a femals who loves the vampire warewolf genre and i don't like these movies at all. They're only saving grace is that they're at least better than the books. Billy watches Poetic Justice which stars 2 black people and criticized their kissing too.
