The real tragedy of the Twilight saga is that literally every other character in the Cullen family has a better story than Edward. Can you imagine how much better it would be if it was the story of Rosalie and her murderous redemption arc or Charlie finding out his bff leads a pack of werewolves?

Teenage me was definitely Team Edward, but as I grew up I became Team Rosalie. She's hands down my favourite character and I'm really glad they included her backstory in Eclipse.

I was Team Seth. Jacob whines about how werewolves (shifters) have anger issues but Seth in the movies AND books was always a sweetheart and supportive and never was angry at all so Jacob's excuse about losing his temper isn't a valid point to have an attitude.

Trust me, most Twilight fans are deeply aware of how bad the movies are. We just embrace the cringe and love them in spite of their insanity 😂

1) A wolf imprints the first time they see their imprint after their change. Since Jacob didn’t imprint on Bella, he’s saying he doesn’t are if she ends up like Leah, broken-hearted after he imprints on someone else and loses all interest in her in a split-second. 2) Jacob assaulted Bella (in the book, she’s bruised where he held her back and the back of her neck, she was fighting hard against his werewolf strength). 3) Jacob threatens to deliberately get himself killed in the fight if she won’t show interest in him, so she kisses him so he won’t commit suicide via newborn vampire (not that he really would’ve done it). I do think these movies would've been better if they dwelled into vampires and wolves their world building and fights more . They can still have romance in there but they could've concentrated more on the lore of them . It's would've been so interesting to see tbh...

The reason why they couldn't catch Victoria is because evasiveness was her special talent. This is too funny. I think something that we forget but they display it soo well in this movie is that Jacob is literally a child and Edward is a grown, grown man so the way they act towards Bella is apparent. Also Rosalie is the only one thinking because Bella and Edward is like skipping through the forest happy but she’s like no one wanted this. All of there stories are tragic and Bella is just like head in the clouds oblivious. Also Billy is right, there were really no major issues before Bella moved there, she is the cause of everything. These commentaries are a gem! Viewing the story as Bella keeping her hoes in line is so inspired! Definitely is an improvement. Also literally everyone else's stories are more interesting than the main three: how Rosalie met her boyfriend and learned to love again/lose her bloodthirst Lea is the only female werewolf and the alpha is her ex whose thoughts she hears constantly, complicated! Southern guy and Alice are cute and seem like they have a nice relationship Why does the doctor turn people? it seems like a nice thing to do but also traps them in an immortal life, and how does he chose who to save? that moral choice could be explored Charlie finding out about vampires and werewolves and becoming their human contact in law enforcement could be a whole TV show Even the high schoolers could be interesting!

Rosalie’s backstory was even more tragic in the book see she got raped by her fiancée and when Carlisle smelled the blood he walked out and saw Rosalie and he was hoping that he can create a mate for Edward who spent about 10 years without a mate and he turned her into a Vampire but Rosalie wasn’t more than a sister to Edward but a few years later she found Emmett who got mauled by a Bear 🐻

I was technically Team Jacob, but it was more of a situation of “between Edward and Jacob, I’m picking Jacob I guess” Also, I like werewolves and don’t like vampires, so that’s that. Also also, the only character of Meyer that I actually crushed on was Ian. Anyone remembers The Host? Just me? Ok.

Jacob doesn't have much of a choice about them knowing his business and feelings, when the boys are wolves they share each others thoughts so literally all their secrets and thoughts are on full display for the others to see/hear. That's why they know so much. #noprivacy

Been re-watching all the Twilight movies right along side you!! Although, I am in the minority and am not afraid to admit that I still enjoy the Twilight series. But, I read all the books and there is so much more backstory that gets missed in the movies. You still make me laugh though Billy!!

When these movies first came out, I was firmly Team Jacob and my mum was Team Edward- we had t-shirts and everything! My dad even had an Alice t-shirt and my mum cut her hair to look like her. I'm pleased to announce that I am now whole heartedly Team Edward and my mum still has the same haircut.

I always thought is was ridiculous that Bella was so against marriage but was so eager to literally change her biology to become another entity that would force her to leave everything she knows and loves. It makes no sense. If you love him enough to want to spend the rest of eternity with him, why would marriage be objectionable? On another note, towards the beginning when Bella and Edward to go Florida and the Cullens and wolves are chasing Victoria, the reason neither the wolves nor the vamps can catch her is because she’s purposely jumping back and forth across the treaty boundary line. That’s why Emmett got tackled by Paul (the wolf) in the river. Emmett continued to chase Victoria even after she bounced to the wolf territory. That was the boundary and the wolves are very very protective of their land and people. So you were right, Victoria was playing with them, pitting them against each other to see if/how she could get past them to get to Bella. I love Rosalie and Emmett. Rosalie because she’s an honest bitch and her backstory is horrific (it’s actually worse in the book) and Emmett is just a big, laidback badass - which balances Rosalie’s intensity. I love all the Cullens but I have a soft spot for a blond with a strong alpha male ... kinda like my own marriage. So I rock with them.

I’m team Edward all the way. Everyone that was team Jacob liked him either because he wasn’t a vampire or because he never wore a shirt period. Jacob was too winy and “woe is me” and yeah nah.

Eclipse is my favorite one out of all of them because I loved the plot of the vampires and wolves teaming up to go against Victoria’s army of newborn vampires.

The joy of the series IS the trashing-- no one trashes it more than Robert Pattinson himself. A group of my friends watched it once with commentary including Rob-- you can so pick up on his disdain even then.

5:30ish - There's actually some in-text speculation that Victoria has a special ability, namely to get out of danger. Also, you have to burn a vampire because otherwise they can put themselves back together, possibly even from ash. There's a bit during the bonfire scene (in the book) where Billy Black shows off a little pouch filled with some of the ashes from the vampire in his story, kept as precaution in case burning them wasn't enough.
