I totally agree with this! Working out too hard/too often puts so much stress on your body. I have also seen better results in simplifying workouts.

I am absolutely frightened of intermittent fasting. I work all day and have to eat at weird hours so I have this actual fear of being hungry/hangry. It may be a blood glucose thing so I am going to check that out. Thank you for the video xx

I complete understand. There was a long time where I couldn’t do it and it may be because I wasn’t doing the clean fasting approach. That’s just my theory though 😂

Thank you Rachel for this video. Keeping it simple and straightforward is refreshing to say the least. I’ve started yoga for my emotional health right now, but trying some visualization at the end of a yoga session would be great! Thank you for the reminder. What do you think of rowing machines? I have one but it’s very rusty…not literally, but I’m going to try it again; just 15 minutes a day. I’ve heard it’s low impact and activates 80% of our bodies muscles. It’s very boring though, so I will definitely need some audio books or music to stick to it. Thanks again your hair is beautiful and so healthy wow!! Take care

Last May a diagnosis changed my life, the biggest change has been going gluten free, Clean Intermittent Fasting and keeping sugars low. I’ve lost 30lbs and am even thinner than when I was in high school. All while not depriving myself from food I love. I eat!!! I just came back from NOLA and a female Lyft driver who mentioned losing weight on Paleo said that I need to get a Rebounder. She mentioned all the benefits to the lymphatic system. After checking RU-vid, I noticed you have a video on Rebounding. Did you stop Rebounding? Any updates you could provide would be great. Thanks Rachel 😊
@RundownwithRachel
@RundownwithRachel Год назад
That is incredible, JEM!!!! Don’t you feel like you discovered the BEST KEPT SECRET???? Isn’t it so liberating with clean IF? So my rebounder broke and I ended up buying a “bounce floor” which is not nearly as beneficial as rebounding. Given Hamelin D’Abell has rebounder workouts I plan on getting another one! You are inspiring me to get back into it!
@JEM.M
@JEM.M Год назад
Omg yes! The best kept secret with IF and the Fountain of Youth with Rebounding. Thanks to that Lyft driver I got inspired, then it inspired you to rediscover Rebounding. When the Universe sends a message I receive it! 🙌🏻I’m going to check out a Rebounding class to see how I feel with it before buying one. I’ll look forward to your Hamelin Rebounding video 😉

Hey I love your channel so far. I found it because I got into Tracy again after a long (long LONG) break and was looking for inspiration. I enjoyed your videos, but I wasn't completely feeling TAM's vibe. Funnily enough, I found out about Hamelin through a TAM group right before you posted your first video on Hamelin's method. I was like hey same wavelength I am subscribing. Anyway you have been a motivating factor in the short time I've been following you, and I really appreciate your videos each week! I also have a past with ED and it is SUCH a struggle. I have not achieved my ideal body but I am much closer even in the past month thanks to Hamelin and mindful eating. I also have a past with lifting and over eating to my own detriment. I tend to bulk up like crazy in all of the wrong places when doing HIIT and weightlifting (I was also into kettlebell training for a long while) but I have been lean before and I feel like my body and mind is happiest when I am lean and lithe. I think I got brainwashed by the "strong girl" trend. I am checking out this visualization method and I plan to add this to my routine. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to more content!

We must be on the same wavelength 🥰 It has been a long unlearning for me with the all or nothing, black and white. The slow shift has come with realizing “it’s never going to be perfect from start to finish. The mess ups, set backs, mistakes, disappointments are all part of the movement forward. Being able to continue anyway has been key for me. I even thought this video was going to be a miss and I figured “I’m just doing it anyway.” Hope you’re having a great week. Thank you for your sweet comment. It’s so encouraging ❤️

Good insight, I’m going to go back to IF. I did 16:8. I stopped doing IF in November, it’s time to do it again. I’ll do black coffee and water. I’ve been doing too many barre classes a week to counteract my indulging in goodies over the holidays! So it all goes back to what we eat doesn’t it 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m 65 so 16:8 was doable. Is 16:8 your schedule?

Hey Rachel, I know I’m late to this video. I’ll be 40 this month (eek!) and know the importance of building muscle. I hate cardio lol. I do walks, weights, yoga, pilates etc. Do you feel like with Tam / Ham you built muscle? It seems more cardio based. Would love to know your opinion, thanks so much!

Just a question, are you naturally thin though? Because low impact in theory works well for women who have a smaller frame like I assume you do. But for women more curvy like me it's not likely it will do much. Just my observation. Would love your thoughts on this ;)
@RundownwithRachel
@RundownwithRachel Год назад
I know just what you mean by this question. I’ve seen certain fitness influencers who have ALWAYS been slim - and you can’t help but think - “would they not look this way regardless?” To answer your question, if I changed variables in my life - went against intuitive eating, didn’t move my body most days my body would look a lot different. And at the same time, I’ve been a similar size for a while now so I now feel like I’m at my natural set point. But it’s taken me a LONG TIME to get here. I will be the first one to say that what works for one person may not work for another so always DO YOU. The reason I wanted to share what has worked for me is that when I was working out intensely I was carrying an extra 10-15 pounds. The workouts made me hungrier. I never felt satisfied when I ate blah blah blah. It wasn’t until I ended up walking an hour a day that I started losing the extra weight. That’s just my story and experience but at the end of the day you may find something entirely different works for you. I know that’s such a cliche response. But it’s true. I see certain reputable people share their fitness advice and I’ll find myself thinking “nope that won’t work for me” even though it may really work for them. You know what I mean? So low impact (Hamelin Method) may be great for me, but if you’re not convinced it’s good for you - you know yourself best.
