Looks like I have to give away $30,000. Maybe more. Oh, sorry, you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. There's actually a giveaway for 2% of my WSOP net profit. Enter here: bit.ly/doug-wsop Check out the full playlist of my vlogs, including the One Drop journey. It's kind of like a documentary now, telling the story from start to finish! ru-vid.com/group/PLFZTVU_cpCnvrAMVyoALKyfVVimTR9l4Z
Congrast Doug I really like how you generally appear as a relaxed guy full of banter and not giving that many sh*ts about stuff... ...But when you talke about Poker you actually think about the game really deeply, commenting that player X doesn't have a good short stack game, player Y is mainly cash games so may have some weaknesses. It really shows quite a deep analytical mind, which a lot of people would underestimate when playing you, and shows how much you have to commit to the game in order to get good results.
I know it's lame, but I got a little misty when Doug took down that final pot. Sometimes when you're not able to live out your own dreams, it can be almost as rewarding to watch someone else you think is a good dude be able to do it in your place. Thanks Doug for allowing all of us bad regs to experience this along with you. It means a lot to be on the journey. I know this sounds like a loser comment, but it is what it is.
Caniacforever no lie man I felt the same way. I mean I paid $10 for the month to watch Doug specifically. My wife asked what I was doing on my phone as I was sweating him every minute of the last two days.
How can someone dislike our boy for winning a bracelet? Good job man, i have been a lurker sub of your channel for a long long time but i never commented. Just wanted to congratulate you on your win, keep up the good work and entertaining content!!!
I'm smiling right now like If I won and that's because you inspire all of us and make us believe that we can win just like you through your training and passion to help others be better poker players. Thank you for your hard work and congratulations
Doug, you never disappoint...i stayed up past my 44 year old bedtime to watch you finish Elky off...you predicted the final two and ended it with style and class. congrats!
Wierd feeling, to know 10,000$ will my life completely change for many years in my country..And someone who i'am watching and have feeling i know just won almost 4 mil. §, what will change the life of many generations after me.. But it's of course not about the money at all, it's about passion and love for the game! Good job Doug! You are amazing, nice person and noone deserve it more then you do.. I'am grateful to live out of grinding that micro stakes all day as a bad reg instead of doing some hard physical job like others do while studying, and you inspired me for this way of making money. Enjoy this win as you can!!! Thanks for the opportunity to follow your journey. Love u Doug, something in me hope you will see this comment and read it, but, whatever, you are my hero! Good luck at the tables everyone! :-)
Doug, I am stoked for you. I really enjoyed your coverage of the tourney. I also love that you don't get bent out of shape when people come into the picture while taping like other vloggers do. It shows how much you really appreciate your fans. Again, congratulations, enjoy.
Way to go Bro!! Watching you take down the One Drop was so exciting, having watched your Vlogs it almost felt like we were rooting for a close friend to win a life changing tournament. You're very down to earth, humble, and you have a great sense of humor. You're one of the more likable people in poker, keep doing what you're doing bro! Great job, can't wait to follow along next year when you defend your title!
So happy for you Doug. Discovered your RU-vid a few months ago and have been watching regularly. It feels like one of my own friends won because I feel like I know you now. Keep on grinding and good luck with the rest of the WSOP!
Doug, I am really really happy for you :D Gratz man! Following all your stuff - feels like WE WON :D :D Greetings from Germany! Keep it up (1 win never comes alone :D)
Never click on any video so fast ! You're the man, probably the biggest ambassador of this sport right now. Remember, with great power comes a great responsibility, looking forward to see what you will do next. Cheers bro, bazaam !
Yeah it's impossible to NOT smile huge watching this video in particular, after months of following Doug's YT content... Congrats Mr. "awesome at cash games but sucks at tournaments"!!! And those signs his entourage held up in the photos, overflowing with memes! #SoGood (But really, is more rake actually better? I'm skeptical...)
I ended up seeing the seatbelt after he was driving for a bit. But at first I thought he wasn't wearing it as I couldn't see the strap across his chest or his back.
I saw your channel and hated it. Forced down a few more and you are actually very interesting, nice, and a great player. Glad to see you win, and sorry for hating your channel and you at one point. We all make mistakes I guess.
Congratulations Doug, great job. Stayed up late here in the UK to watch the stream on PokerGO and so happy that you took it down. I was getting a bit worried at the start of the final table when the cards weren't falling but knew that you'd turn it around. Fantastic achievement 3 time champion
Your poker tips have really helped me elevate my game. I don't get much time yo play anymore having a new baby, but when I do I've been doing well online and bringing in that lil bit of extra dough. Thanks so much for your time spent giving solid advice!
Holy crap dude! I watched you take down the $270k online and now I see your whole journey of the one drop and you win!!!!???? WTAF. AMAZING. So stoked for ya. Where was Luke Schwartz?? I've never been so happy for another person that I don't know. (Nothing suss) Just wanna say all your work and effort you put in is hugely appreciated down here in Aussie land. Time difference is a bitch but I wake every morning looking forward to the days new post. Congrats again man, you 100% deserve it.LOVED the dancing on the Torrelli vid haha 👌
If you aren't familiar with his WHOLE journey to this place, read the infamous 2+2 thread where he acknowledged he sucked at poker and humbly asked for help... about 2 years later he was rushing the highest HU games!
This gives me so much hope! I was just a kid when Black Friday happened, but even then I was playing on play money sites. I always wished I was born 20 years earlier so I could have experienced the poker boom. But despite all that, watching you take these down inspires a young teenager like me to keep working on my game. Congratulations Doug I've been railing you for a year now!
Just so happy for doug tbh. Can't forget the live stream during coop where nothing was going his way and his whole mood was so bleak. Wish Doug nothing but the best.
Doug. Been following you for ages man. Congratulations! You really deserve it. Your videos help so many people and it's great that your hard work has finally been rewarded.
Have you ever told the story on why you say papi so much? If I didn't know I would think you were hispanic...isn't that what hispanic woman say to their men?
Congratz Doug on the WSOP One Drop - what an awesome way to start!!! Love the channel and it's so cool to see people you run into in Vegas love it too!! Best of luck in the other events and keep posting - the "bros" are here for ya

Mate, big love from Australia. You have a wicked vibe, your videos are actually some of the highest quality around for poker, beat wishes from your future.
I've only recently started watching your videos but I want to say that I really enjoy all the advice and help that you give us. You do a great job explaining to us the whole process of playing a hand whether it's cash games or tournaments. You're also the first guy I have seen on TV that I seriously believe is not a poker douche in real life :). I'm very happy for you! Enjoy the day you definitely deserve it!
Congratulations Doug!! :) Your vlogs for online live action are very inspiring and educational. Keep up the good work. You deserve your most recent winnings and more... Thank you :)
OMG soo Inspiring! I've been wanting to win a major tournament and this video... Just watching you hold up the bracelet, the happiness, the people and the smiles! WOW! That is just the images I need in my mind to make it happen for me as well! Thanks Doug!! I'll be seeing you at the Final Table!!
My jaw literally dropped when he said that. I wouldn't fold that in any situation ever in any stakes game there. Holy shit only aces has you beat. Or a set of 2s 4s or Ks. All highly unlikely with a backdoor 2nd nut flush and about a pot sized bet when you have barely any blinds left and about the pot left behind
@@jonathanbosma2546 His pot odds are 30%. KsJs has well over 30% equity against Polk's range. Only if he never bluffs, which of course he does, Polk is a pro and we're literally looking at him bluffing right now. I'm guessing Martin didn't know Polk is a GTO guy and bluffs a lot, plus maybe ICM pressure, and who knows maybe a wrong read/gut feeling.
@@nintendokings i dont think he will bluff here very often. Btw, its a tournament and not a cash game, so with 30% equity most pro's wouldnt call for their tournament life. His value hand would be atleast AK, and against a random ak kj of spades had 25% equity.. sets only 18-20%, so either you think his value bet is not atleast ak, or you're math on 30%+ is wrong
After watching the other high stakes players overfold and nit mine at both the SHRB and One Drop FT, are you the only good GTO, balanced player?? Do you feel like the others played well? Not sure I saw a big bluff from someone not named Doug Polk after watching most of the SHRB and One Drop coverage...
+Donald Böing INSANE fold with KJ+FD OTT, agreed -- it's like Martin out-levelled himself, thinking there's no way the wild-and-crazy bluffaholic Doug Polk would be trap-shipping with less than a set there... OOPS.
Delighted for you Doug, I was watching live last night in Ireland, I fell asleep 4 handed though, I woke up first thing I checked was you winning, brought a smile to my face, you're a great player and top guy, you are a legend in poker now Imortilised forever
You're definitely best player in the world. And the nicest guy around. Zero sponsors and he built an empire on his own. Must feel good. Please don't ever get sponsored.
LOL , guy running literally like god himself and youtube fanboys calling him best player in the world LOL , how many times did he suck out this tournament rofl
Congrats man, love the vlog and the direction the channel is going. The content is great, just stay humble and remember what got you here....hard work!!!
Wow I'm reflecting on your past few vlogs and it's amazing that all of that footage is there. I watched every one as they came out and you just kept rolling.
Felipe Lumo not a good call long term when Doug check calls check shoves that turn for his tourny life. Thats the best case scenario for Jacobson and worst case is all of the sets and straights doug can have, not to mention if he has a straight he fan have reverse blockers drawing Jacobson pretty slim.
Anthony Rodriguez Disagree, first, because Doug can have decent amounts of bluffs and semi-bluffs for sure in that spot, and second, if you bet pot size on the turn with Jacobson's hand with that SPR, man you call knowing you have at least flush outs, otherwise you'd be too exploitable. Third, Jacobson have enough money with his Main Event victory, he should go for the win here and goddamn call
Felipe Lumo What bluffs does Doug have that float flop? Q10 of spades? AX of spades with a pair don't check/raise all in on turn either, and Jacobson is holding KJ of spades, blocking a large portion of Dougs bluffing hands. So its either A7-A10 and AQ (being unlikely considering he would of 3-bet this hand preflop) of spades specifically that would have had to float flop, Q10 of spades thats floating AX diamond draws with potential straight outs, or some weird 4Xsuited hand that has diamonds. Measure these specific hands versus all of the sets, two pairs (not many but they're there) straight combos, its not close. Again, a hand like A10 of diamonds is arguably the best case scenario Jacobson is in, and is not risking his life with one pair on a turn that favors Doug.
Congrats Doug! I paid for PokerGo just to watch you play and I definitely got my money's worth when you won the One Drop. What an amazing start to this year's WSOP. You are very inspiring.
