She didn’t have a strong foundation to begin with. Artists that have staying power tend to build up fanbases before they blow up. Ice blew up very early in her career bc of her🍑 if I’m being real. If she had a solid fan base, then the numbers would be consistent.
she shortcutted her way to success at her own detriment without continuing to put the work in. this should be a lesson that looks can get you in the door but it can’t keep you there. she has so many eyes on her now that have a perception of her and she will have to try extra hard to prove herself

Artists like Nicki, Latto, Megan, Doja Cat spent years perfecting their crafts and it shows through their work. They didn’t just rise to fame in a day. Ice spice is not serious with her music and quite frankly her music if just bad. It’s okay to just admit that her music just sucks

Spice just ain't a talented artist like that until she proves otherwise.. you can like her, that's fine but her talent pool is very shallow. Like ALL she does is twerk, and say mildly corny one liners... Cardi B was even better on her debut and has consistently either improved or kept the same quality. Sometimes people are one hit wonders... She might have had maybe two or three hits.. but at this rate, she won't be around musically for much longer. Every woman I've named here has a big butt and has provocative lyrics, but only one of them is losing hype... You gotta start asking why.

Brand new here. I actually agree with you. That Fisher Song was kind of good and I actually liked her flow and lyrics in that one. Outside of Nicki's great big influence, its that song "Fisher' (which surprisingly people didn't speak much about) and "Pretty Girl" (which surprisingly I heard didn't do that well) that I thought were pretty good and legit. 'Deli' too was a good song with at least decent lyrics. I'm probably one of the only people in the world that has never ever heard "Munch," so I can't comment on that song. Even in her latest song she is kind of spitting. Sometimes though, it seems as if someone else is writing her features and parts of her songs because she isn't always that bad lyrically.
Ever since she dropped the Gimme a Light song all the thoughts about her music just went downhill. And after she was allegedly talking shit about Nicki, all the Barbz eventually stopped supporting her. As a matter of fact, 2/3 of her FANBASE was mainly the Barbz 😭 She didn’t become as famous as she is know until she dropped her song “Munch” and when she started collaborating with people. Then with that thing where people said she had a poop fetish cause she kept talking about pooping and farting, her lyrics aren’t the same anymore. At this point she should just become an Instagram model and call it a day 😭😭

One thing that really hurt Ice was her Coachella performance. Those performances can elevate artists and launch album/tour rollouts. Instead she gave the same lazy performance that she always has given. It was a missed opportunity that could have turned the trajectory around.
My bf and I listened to Phat Butt when it dropped and I immediately was like, “damn, that’s Nicki’s flow” and my boyfriend who barely listens to rap besides my input/recommendations was surprised bc he heard it was different from Ice Spice’s regular flow.
