Hope the anime would give Ichigo’s bankai a fight scene, the hype of his new bankai in the manga literally collapse within one fucking page. At least give the audience an amazing fight before breaking the damn blade
Nah, Kubo did this scene right despite being rushed by Shonen Jump. This was literally Yhwach flipping a Solemn Judgment on Ichigo's Bankai activation (obvious Yu-Gi-Oh reference) and completely destroying any hope Ichigo had of victory. Notice how, the whole fight, Yhwach slowly amped up his efforts to win instead of just instakilling Ichigo and Orihime (which he could do easily, let's be real). He only displayed his full power once he knew Ichigo had nothing else up his sleeve.
@@Yohane350 I personally think it could still work out if we get to see it play out differently. Something along the lines of ichigo "landing" a point blank getsuga tenshou and then when the smoke settles yhwach has the shattered piece of zangetsu in hand. It still sells that "no more games" feeling this chapter has.
Very interested to see how the anime adapts this, given what they did with Squad 0. I feel like showing Ichigos Bankai in one of Yhwach's visions, then going back and snapping it would be a good way to do it as it gives us a peek, but keeps the story the same. They could then also expand the Aizen fight, make Goryu Tenmetsu actually do something, and maybe even show off his Bankai. That would be ace.
Yeah if we don't learn what ichigos new bankai does or look like properly before he breaks it we riot ,, for anime only watchers it would be a good fakeout😂 ichigo goes bankai defeats yhwach but it's just a vision then yhwach one hand snaps his bankai 😂
@@morbincrusader5123 Bleach Can't Fear Your Own World, it's a series of novels (considered canon) that talks about what happens after Yhwach's defeat. It is said in it that Ichigo got all his powers back a couple of days after his battle with Yhwach.
I have a feeling grimmjow would be furious if he saw Ichigo use Gran Rey Cero. He'll probably think he's mocking him. But still I can't believe Ichigo managed to use it when last I checked it was a cero only arrancars can use
You have to understand who Yhwach is. Yhwach is God in heaven Aizen is Jesus Christ Ichigo and company is the devil. Yhwach’s power is called the almighty, God the almighty.
I like the concept but giving it absolutely no downside or condition for its use was a mistake. Like he is literally invincible and there was no way he could've lose without feeling like an @sspull
I for one enjoyed this fight greatly, even with it being rushed, I only wish we knew why his bankai was so dangerous to yhwach, more and more I'm starting to feel like his hos form is actually his TRUE shikai, since zangetsu has to merge with his body for him to use his shinigami/hollow power correctly and then when he went bankai from that point it was him combining all his reiatsu into one blade along with condensing his reiatsu (2 swords into one) ichigo is a power fighter and its not likely he has any tricks besides speed, power and unlimited potential, though his true full potential will likely never be reached, imagine if while in his hos, he should be able to regenerate not feel any pain even while being wounded (like when white lost an arm to isshin and kept pressing him in their fight) also hollow zangetsu gets stronger and smarter after every fight, passing that onto ichigo because he is zangetsu. Meanwhile quincy zangetsu has the ability to manipulate reishi the same as yhwach and theoretically should be able to help ichigo absorb more reishi and condense it into more power from his surroundings. The fact he killed yhwach shows how powerful ichigo is even while not at full power.
One of the best. Kubo completely circumvented expectation. No generic shonen shit. The MC just got shitted on by someone far stronger. Yhwach at this point was SK level so it makes total sense.
@@A-RedHerringthe arrow came in last minute. A weapon that stops the powers of an op villain is pretty generic, honestly. The problem with having yhwach as op as he was is that the powers of ichigo and aizen weren't displayed properly, so their powers stemmed from statements snuck into the dialogue. I don't mind yhwach being far above them, but the manga made it so bad where we couldn't see what aizen or ichigo could rlly do.
@ghhbpolo yeah Kubo messed up the powerscaling a lil bit. Even though Yhwach absorbed a sealed soul king, he had the powers to reforge the entire palace into a new nation and had the power to combine 3 worlds into 1. And then you're telling me Aizen with a fragment of the soul king in his hogyoku was able to somewhat keep up with Yhwach while Ichigo was about as strong in terms of power or even slightly stronger than yhwach. Just makes no sense to me tbh.
Bingo. He realized ichigo had a power he couldn't stop and that could kill him if he couldn't predict what ichigo would do. (Since he is aware ichigo grows in battle he knew he needed to see the future to stop him from landing any more power up attacks.) Which just says how insane ichigo had become power wise.😂
False. I doubt Ichigo would've been able to kill him. I feel he would've given Ywatch too much trouble. That's why he saved himself trouble by snapping it. Ywatch is not one to take risks.
@bervicksimien2848 Ichigo straight up almost did with the first attack, which he messed up as he hasn't yet tried it. That's why Juha went into Almighty, he couldn't afford the risk of ichigo actually beating him with his hollow powers. He needed Almighty to stop ichigo. That's why he never turned it off after. 🤣
After the series ended, he announced on Twitter that he had stopped rushing in the last 40 episodes or so, and the reason for this was a letter sent to Kubo by a small fan who had cancer. Kubo states that the finale ended exactly as he had imagined
Two things about this fight are crazy to me. 1. Aizen uses a #99 Hado and Yywach is basically like yeah ok cool but your blade is broke bro. 2. We still have no idea what the true Tensa Zangetsu can actually do except stabby stabby good. I really hope they expand on this fight in the anime.
Yeah let's give a guy an overpowered ability to see all possible futures. Oh wait it's still not overpowered enough, let him be able to alter each of one of those futures before they even happen.
@@killuazoldyk2727 yeah which is a good start. But I hope they expand more of the build up, so that even anime only won't get the impression it comes out of nowhere. Like they can show Souken crafting the Arrow, explaining the arrow in detail to Uryuu, and showing their motivation to stop Yhwach.
I’m just mad he didn’t let Ichigo use his bankai. Which in my perspective if a person who can see the future destroys something before it can be used meaning it can most likely kill him
@@Mangekyo18i Stay mad then. Yhwach knew better than to take a chance of possibly dying to Ichigo's Bankai. Breaking it before it can be used was hella smart.
It was so stupid to make his power this. Being able to change anything and everything in the future before it happens, knowing what's about to happen. That's the stupidest thing ever, and why this arc failed so hard with the final battle. Ichigo would've wrecked Yhwach hardcore in straight, actual battle. Instead, Yhwach just sits there bragging about being untouchable, and extremely weak it seems, as it's all about this whiney teenager/like man child wanting to destroy everything because daddy wasn't there for him lol.
haha cant be helped, the manga was rushed. but I noticed that ywach did say his weakness here.he cant change futures he cannot see. so a few of its weakness are aizen, ichigo's new bankai, anti-thesis, and jugram's almighty. so as it seems to be as much as an asspull, this was the only possible course of showing how almighty was almost unstoppable. did wish to see ichigo's real bankai but then ywach would be defeated earlier or Ichigo would still lose anyway. ichigo's gang needed something to disable almighty as well as disable ywach other quincy powers(i.e. all the qunicies powers). If Ichigo's bankai was just a simple upgraded getsuga and faster and more durable body then ywach would still regenerate. so from what others have guessed, ichigo's power would be something that can defeat ywach if not destroyed, like something that prevents changing the future, or disabling enemies powers(mugetsu upgrade)
I honestly like the fact that he felt alone because his father wasn't there Just like Ichigo changed because her mother died About Yhwach being broken,it can't be helped. I'm ok with since he literally represents God,so it make sense that he is so strong
@@jdizzle1779Ichigo can alter the current situation. While Ichigo can blindly jump from one single sand to another, Yhwach's Almighty can see all those sands and pick the sand he want to get to.
@@jdizzle1779it’s Ichigo’s scrift. Remember he didn’t get Auschwalen either like Uryu. All Quincy have a scrift , it just gets more powerful by taking in Ywach blood. Ichigo has a fate altering ability. Remember he died 2 times at least, getting his powers (with Urahara - hollowfication is death) and again with Ulquiorra (more obvious). He has a mini almighty
@@marcomilillo2001He already had it back beforehand when Tsukishima altered the past, the white part of his True Bankai is literally the Quincy Power said by Kubo himself, and we literally see that White Part shattered when Ichigo goes for the final slash to kill Yhwach.
The defeat of yhwach must be fixed because it ruins the scaling. *True shikai ichigo isn't even transcendent lvl *HOS seemed strong but ichigo was trashed. *Bankai was destroyed right before we even saw it's power. *Ichigo lost his hollow and Quincy powers which probably explains why ichigo's bankai became his very first shikai so ichigo became just a shinigami so he was much weaker than his HOS it makes no sense that he oneshot yhwach.
The term transcendent just means above. Aizen used in the term that he transcendent hollow and soul reaper, so there's not rlly a set status for it. Canonically, true shilmkai ichigo is above dangai ichigo. Ichigo being trashed doesn't mean he wasn't strong, it just means yhwach was stronger. Hopefully the anime makes it closer tho. I think ichigos old shikai was more of a symbolic meaning than literal. Like how ichigos old powers were himself the whole time but he didn't know. Or it could just be kubo trying to make the scene look cool. I don't think tgat was his old shikai because tge narrative post tybw has ichigo to be a match for aizen.
He used Auswhalen to drain her of her powers, and then she died against Grand Fisher as she couldn't fight back. Grand Fisher would normally have been an easy opponent for Masaki, which is why it's considered Yhwach being the one that killed her, as she would have survived, were it not for him.
I think the reason why yhwach destroyed tensa zangetsu is because since old man zangetsu which is yhwach himself, going bankai might've give ichigo the power to seal yhwach.
Kubo never explained how Yhwach could destroy bankais and affect stuff in the future but couldn't, say, decapitate his enemies in the same fashion. Overall, a stupid power, that was never properly explained and beaten by an asspull. Kubo is a terrible writer.
Yhwach literally explains it. The almighty has the ability to rewrite the future. Think of it like reading a book and after reading what happens in that book you tear out the page and write a new outcome. Yes it's stupidly overpowered but it's 100% explained perfectly how it's possible. For example he reads ichigo bankai and it's overwhelming power. It doesn't like this outcome so he tears out the pages and rewrites that upon activating his bankai it becomes fragile and breaks
@@chrisbarnesbarnes8332 and why not rewrite the future so that all Shinigami are dead? If I had the ability to affect the future, I'd just make it so that I have already won. I wouldn't even need an army for that.
@Izelor88 well even taking away the fact this was sort of a revenge/petty war where they wanted the shinigami to suffer. Yhwach almighty can't rewrite the future on a large scale like that. He rewrites his own future and anybody who comes in contact with him. He can't just kill all shinigami because all shinigami are not in his future. Only a handful actually even cross paths with him. Unless he takes the time to directly confront everybody in the soul society a army is still very much needed to take care of people he himself doesn't fight. Plus after awakening the almighty all shinigami except for like 3 become useless fodder to him. There is no in even worry about paying attention to them.
@@chrisbarnesbarnes8332 all I'm saying is that his defeat doesn't make any sense. He should have known that Ishida would shoot the arrow and negate the attack.
@Izelor88 yes most well agree the his defeat is very questionable something we all except to be improved upon in the anime buy as far as his powers goes there is no asspull and plot holes. It's just unfair godlike power.
Yhwach is literally the Soul King at this point, hell even Base Yhwach was already at least equal to True Shikai Ichigo level without Almighty, now add Soul King Power and Almighty and no way Ichigo can solo that.
@@paulvarus859 no lmao base yhwach is leagues below ichibe and after sk death ts ichigo is on his own league compared to other shinigamis besides aizen
Kyoka Suigetsu lets Aizen control all 5 of his enemy's senses including sight. I believe clairvoyance falls under sight so it can be tampered with too.
@@cameraredeye3115 Seems like a stretch for someone who can see all possible futures and outcomes. Should have seen he was tricked in advance and avoided it.
I was trying to figure that out too 🤔 the same way Yhwach never saw Uryu’s arrow coming in the final battle either. That one was even more bizarre to me. Maybe with Aizen, he saw Kyoka Suigetsu coming but never took it too seriously as a threat?
In bleach all hax abilities can be negated my a higher spiritual pressure, which is shown when kenpachi can negate mauryi's poison and when aizen takes soi fon's double tap instant kill. When ywach first encountered aizen, he was put under his shikai (because aizen has merged with his zanpacto, looking at aien puts you under it's effect.). This means aizen, gawd damn chair aizen, sealed AF could manipulate ywach. It's not that ywach couldn't see the future and manipulate it, it's that he couldn't specifically see aizen's future, because aizen's spiritual pressure was too high to allow it to work. If you don't like that explanation, he was still under the effect of aizen's shikai, which also effects ALL senses. Meaning aizen (which is also insanely smart, so he could do this) could show ywach the futures he wanted to see, with his own power. Since aizen's shikai not only effects the five senses, it also effects things like reiatsu reading
So who the hell is Getsuga? how did a Quincy like him become so powerful without anyone noticing? Kubo's story telling is just pulling things out of thin air
What are you smoking? This fight will be in cour 4. Cour 2 reaches Ichibei at most, Cour 3 will handle most of the Schuzafel fights and then cour 4 has time for all Yhwach fights, Miracle and hopefully new additions.
@@peterdamian_7 No thats not quite right. The soul king is god. I guess Yhwach is like Jesus Christ is Christ killed god and stole his spot but theres a second jesus christ? Its weird.
