That Is The Most Beautiful Buick Ever

Just to be different, I'm gonna put a '48 Buick drivetrain into a 2015 Z06 vette.

I don't think I've seen Jay smile and laugh as much driving any other vehicle.

I am so happy that these automobile creative people exist. Artististry and inventive in bundles.

I could watch a whole show just on that chassis, that thing looked awesome.

I think Jay set a new record for the number of times he said "hilarious" in this episode. And it was a HILARIOUS video to watch! (lol)

Watching this video of 2 car lovers thoroughly enjoying this car is a joy to watch. It is inspiring to see people do what they love and creating such works of art and technology.

Just picked one up myself, barn find convertible just like this one, converted drive train and pushing a cadillac 500, gonna be a blast to drive soon, top down sunny days

Out of any car, classic or modern, I like these old Buicks' body styling the most. It's impressive the work done to it. The only issue I have with it is that it looks a little low for its styling. Raise it up a little and it'd be the best car I've ever seen and heard.

By far one of my favorite reviews. What a great car!! There just isn't anything like an old sleeper. The underlying workings of technology and sport but the outward appearance of an oldie but a goodie.

It's so funny, Jay in this thing and that Cutlass Banshee. He lit up driving both of them like a little kid at Christmas.

Jay, you said "Hilarious" 11 times in the video. It's definitely a fun looking car but it's no joke. About as inventive and artful as it gets. Good job Mr. Ward.

I like this guy's attitude. He's got a very witty way about him unlike most of the little nervous guys who come through Jay's shop are. I could see them getting a beer together. And badass car!

Another great Icon! The window switch should be integrated into the original cranks so that tapping the crank up would roll the window up and tapping down would bring it down. Thanks Jay for another great show and Jonathan for yet another outstanding car.

That car is perfect, the ultimate sleeper... It's just cool on so many levels. I love all the derelict cars Jonathan Ward has done. I dig the whole vibe.

Beautiful design. The balance between old and new is not just cool, it fills your heart.

I've only seen this car in shining new paint job and modern hot rod rims. So i didn't pay much attention to it in the past. This however looks gorgeous, the fainting paint, the color, the rims, the leather seats,front bumper with yellow lights. This is one of the best looking cars I've seen.

Such a cool ride. Would be funny as an all-electric with similar horsepower :D I've always loved the "rat" type cars with spotless tech inside.

I think the cars awesome my 50 chevy we grafted 79 Z28 Camaro subframe into it and it made a big difference I can only imagine with an Art Morrison under my car but that car is cool very good show thanks jay

Having just watched the Ringbrothers Madam V 1948 Cadillac made from 2-1948 Caddies and 2 new ATS-V. I like this Restomod so much better. The Art Morrison chassis is awesome and love to see this put head to head with not only in compared performance but true cost in parts and labor, maintenance ease and cost, the interior is amazing, love the Derelict Approach. Then again I prefer a ratty looking car that performs and you don't have to worry about every bug and gravel hit or fingerprint. Drive it no matter the road or weather condition. Love the"Little Old Lady From Pasadena" blowing away supercars. Door squeak cheap fix add a NA Miata door alignment block to the door sill and correlating door this not only helps align the doors but tightens up a convertibles chassis making the door part of the structure vs. just hanging in the big gap. They make black hard polyurethane aftermarket replacements vs. Mazda hard rubber blocks that tighten up the chassis even more just sand to tightest fit.These door blocks would likely go unnoticed as not Buick especially if you grunge them up to look old. This has helped lots of convertibles not so outfitted from the factory.

I remember a friend of the family had a white '48 Roadmaster convertible in the med 60's. I was about 14 at the time and thought it was the coolest car ever. It had a straight 8 and the dynaflush so it was not very good off the line but the speed would increase forever as long as you kept the gas peddle down. I remermber fixing the 6v radio, the caps around the vibrator were shot and I but a new vibrator and OZ4 rectifier tube, It had a great sounding 8" speaker behind that chrome grill. I still remember flying down Rt 6 on Cape Cod in that beast - what a blast.

Jay is like a cartoon character in that he always wears the same clothes.

It would be great to do a British version with something like a Morris Minor.

Lol..I had a bit of a giggle when they were talking about the power windows and he said they changed the switches so you dont have to do a reach around..but absolutely love this car and what this guy does with them. just awesome.

*I LOVE the "all kinds of power" phrase* since the kind of power is actually always the same. It does not switch from mechanical to electric or something. And yet Jay says it, which is hilarious.

At 15 I bought a 1948 Road Master Buick Family Sedan three door. The was specially built for a Funeral Home Owner in Brownsville Texas. The engine was stuck I rebuilt the motor and machined the rear of the crank to use a 400 turbomatic dual range from a one ton Chevy delivery van. Then used a 1977 Olds Delta 98 interior modified to custom fit where it all looked OEM. bad to to bone baby!

Jay, Back in the distant past my pop had a musty old '49 Merc for his work car. I used to sit in it and pretend I was driving it ...mouth noise sound effects and all...while he stopped to "get a brew" at Watson's Whitehouse Bar and Resturant in Bucktown, Louisiana. I'd give a left for that old car exactly as it was with an ICON undercarriage. Reminds me, gotta go buy a powerball ticket.

Jay, you missed a great one liner: when you closed the door (not slammed). It sounded like a vault door closing. With the money put in... Your the comedian. When I was born my Dad owned a '49 Buick Woody, Dynaflow and all. He was a Major in SAC when He got the '55 Buick Special, a God awful seafoam green. We were washing it one day, I was about seven or eight, I pointed at the ports on the side and ask: " What are these? He said " Their supposed to look like the exhausts pipes on a P-40. When I said " Can we make'um work. I think He knew He was in trouble. By the way " Love your show ". Tim
