I got the Ideal Seam Guide Set and the Gauge at my very first quilt show I went to in 2014. I never knew how to use them until now. I need to find them and learn to use them. So, that I will have less anxiety and be a lot more calmer and have fun when I am sewing.

That first seam you did looked uneven - not a true 1/4” from start to finish. This could be because it looked like you bunched the fabric up against the ruler toward the end of the piece, thereby widening the seam. The 15” guide looks like the unnecessary length is actually getting in your way and creating a hindrance to accuracy.

Thank you for the demo... New to sewing & picked up a similar product on clearance. I've been making face masks, but itching to try other projects... Can't wait to try it! 🤞❤️

I found the scant 1/4" seam hole to narrow and the 1/4" seam hole to deep for my seams. I sewed a four strips together and pressed them. The one with scant 1/4" measured to large and the one with 1/4" measured to small. I wish there was another option in the middle. Once I positioned it accureately,, it works awesome, but having to remove it for something like HST and the put it on again, wish there was a faster way to have it be accurate. My Juki does not have a moveable needle.

I went to your store and found the seam guide,,extremely expensive, for what is basically a ruler..$ 50.00 is too much..

gatt be Try using some artists or painters tape to secure a needle case to the machine bed on the quarter inch mark(courtesy of JustGetItDoneQuilts.

+gatt be I agree it is way too expensive. I might make my own gauge with sticking tapes as a guide.

Angela, I'm not sure where to place the seam guide with a walking foot. You said the notch goes toward that side of the walking foot but I can't picture how it works. Can you please explain? Thank you.

I love this tool but i used a black marker and just marked with a permanent mark at 1/4, seems to work, hopefully!

Your fingernails very pretty. I can't stand the ones that is very very long and straight across. Yours is curved and just right.

I just learn how to do things manually so no need for these expensive item you are made to believe you need. I always put my pins to the right at the joints, so this would be no use to me anyway. All those quilters rulers for example, perhaps make things a little quicker. But if you can learn mathematically what is required, you don't need to spend money on all this stuff.

The leaders and Enders are to prevent the beginning edge of your piece getting sucked down into the hole in your throat plate. But your piece needs to butt up closely after the leader. Not away as she has pictured. They also make the stitching more even all the way through the piece. No bunching up at the beginning as can sometimes happen. It also saves on thread if you do a lot of sewing. You don’t need to pull out a lot of thread at the end to cut the piece off. Hope this helps. Happy sewing👍🏻

Joyce Weaver I don’t understand what would stick out and be in the way. I know your comment is two years old but if you see this I’d be curious to know. Thank you!
