windy1965 Thanks Neil. It will be pretty basic tarp setups, and probably only a handful of different ones. Should give people some ideas to work with though, who have a standard 3x3 tarp, or even a cheap poly tarp.
Cornish Knives Thanks Mike. Even if this video just makes people think about checking more, I'll be happy. This wood is a particularly bad area, so hopefully there will be less risk where you go, but it's always worth being safer
Wow! Your video points towards a great number of dead and dying trees in that wood, so much so that the wood seems like it's a positive death trap, an accident just waiting to happen. I would doubt that any sort of woodland management is being carried out there at all. I'd tend to give a place like that a very wide berth and in fact it's too dangerous to even venture in it. All of those big trees look about the same age 30-40 years at a guess. Of course, such a wood could be made to be safe if it was managed by having all of those dead and dying trees cut down and composted, removed or simply burnt. Thanks for sharing. Take care...
