Middle of winter in the snow, sun beating down in the heat of summer, it doesn't matter, as tuners we want to be able to simply twist the key, crank the car over and have it start and settle at a sensible RPM and idle without stalling.
While that seems like an easy goal, for many including those tuning professionally, there are a few traps and poor adjustments to work through especially when an aftermarket cam is fitted.
We're using a GM LS powered vehicle for this lesson, but many of the concepts will apply to more than just this single application.
