So glad Fang is getting into the limelight again, such an interesting character, so happy to see him in Superstar but disappointed he wasn’t playable in the game !

Classic Espio did make a cameo appearance in the Sonic 30th Anniversary Special. He was on the arcade machine of Sonic the Fighters, owned by Classic Eggman.

This review is what some ppl needed after Toriyama's passing.

Knuckles Chaotix was already confirmed to be canon in the "Remember When?" episode of Tailstube, considering IDW is no longer its own separate continuity (backed up by many offical statements and again Tailstube) it was only a matter of time before it would get used.

I find it funny that they reference the "8th emerald" from sonic the fighters(the referenced it by fang saying something about and orange emerald) my head cannon for it (unless this comic or something else confirms what is the 8th) is that its a result of eggman's cloning machine or it's the master emrald or it been retconed of it's existence (and the technical reason is that there's 8 fighters) i just hope that the 8th never canonically never existed because it would be confusing (also this is also head canon but it could be the master emerald as a different color because in encore mode of sonic mania plus *yes encore mode has been confirmed to be cannon* if you fight what would normaly be knuckle's LRZ boss the master emerald is purple, and this could be an error but in sonic R when you collect all chaos emeralds you get a screen with all the emerald but one of them is orange and you don't collect an orange emerald in the game so this could be evidence that choas emerald could change colors too. So the green emerald could be the master emerald and the normally green choas emrald could be the orange one this time or vice versa)

It’s nice to see that Fang can be a proper strategist when the situation calls for it.

Oh my god I just realized the 8th chaos emerald is a joke on the classic emerald colors from sonic 3.

Perhaps the Special Zones will have some loot for the Gang.
