Dear teacher, I was feeling really exhausted due to my exam preparation and tomorrow I have an IELTS exam. However, your tips really boosted my motivation. Your videos and energy mean a lot to me. Thanks to Keith that introducing you to us. You are such an amazing teacher.
Thanks Eli for this listening tip as I find it incredibly useful. If don't mind, would you make a video of how to answer diagram or map directions in listening owing to I'm tend to be mix up in that part. Cheers!
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll look into it. In the meantime, you'll find some map diagram practice here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xoMcMHLZLwE.html
@@EnglishProTipshi prof.,I hope you are well, the question I have to ask is that December 11th is my speaking test and other sections are December 16th it's paper based test, so the counting of day will start from speaking day test or after all the sections to the my results will be available online because the university I applied to really need my scores quickly? I already know that paper based test is 13days but I don't know when the counting of day will start from whether after speaking test or after all the sections.
These tips came right on time as I'm preparing for IELTS listening at the moment. My biggest problems are distractors. I can easily become distracted by them that's why I'm working on that. Another problem is finding some practice tests that are similar to the exam. The ones in the books are really close to the actual test but not the same. In my case, I've done all tests from 11 to 16 and I'll go back to see older versions I suppose. I think getting enough sleep before the test is a bit challenging cause I couldn't sleep well the night before my test. I'm gonna try doing this next time hopefully. Thanks Eli 😊
Hello Teacher Eli from Syria . It is a really useful lesson ! I enjoyed watching and listening to your videos . I am 62 years old . Now, I am teaching English, although teaching was not my career . Because I love this language, I am doing so . You and Teacher Keith are great teachers for me . My advice to students to follow up your valuable lessons . Thank you both gentlemen for your fantastic job .
Hello Eli, I would like the ask about if the computer based IELTS listening exam has some ambiguities when no more than three words or numbers are required. For example the speaker says "number of visitors", I write "number of visitors", but the computer says "visitors" is the correct answer. Therefore I lose a point. Have you ever met similar problem while making a test?
I really like your videos because they helped me a lot and I wish I had an accent like you it sounds so good when you speak I feel like listening to your voice all day because of that accent
Good Day to you Sir, I want to thank you for all of your suggestions and information regarding IELTS. I have gotten my result of IELTS recently and I have gotten overall 6.5 which is good to take admission to my desired Uni. Thank you so much again.
to be honest i do not understand my weaknesses in listening, i understand all words, i practice all types but i can not get more than 25 which is sad. i also listen podcast, but there is bo increase in listening...
At last he mentioned to complete 3 papers in the same day. Does it have to be continually doing the paper at the same time ? Or can I finish reading and writing in the morning and then listening at night, or listening in the morning, reading in the afternoon and then writing at night ? how should I do ?
Is it correct to say" I used to recommend people to go on RU-vid" ? The verb "recommend" is subjunctive. You could say, for example " I used to recommend people going ..." or "I used to recommend people that they would go ...".
I followed keiths meditation today on my speaking test and it worked perfectly... 🙏🙏🙏🙏And Thanks a ton to Jay too for your wonderful effort for helping us 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I just took the IELTS for UKVI in Newark, New Jersey, the only testing location in the entire United States that offers UKVI. Anyway, the listening was simple enough but I swear that at least 1 or 2 answers were not clearly given in the passages read to me. It was infuriating. I had to make an educated guess, or what seemed to make the most sense with those questions.
Hi Eli. I’ve been preparing for IELTS exam and for me the biggest problem so far is the MCQ. It’s really really hard , in other words ,its almost impossible to read 5 or 6 questions and all the answers in 30 seconds. Besides Highlighting keywords, Is there any other way of doing it? Please help.
I am interested to buy your writing course. It seems to a remarkable strategy to score in that module. Now , the problem is I don't have any master's card;whereas I have a friend who has a master card and he can pay for me . My question is it allowed to pay by a second person in order to buy your writing course ?
Thanks 🙏 Eli.Excellent tips.very helpful Make video on reading test as well.you always out do yourself 💫 Also recommend from where students should practice after doing your website's practice.
Hey Kurti, it's the one called "IELTS Spelling for the Listening Test" on this page: englishprotips.com/pdfs-and-ebooks/ You'll need to create an account to download it.
Thank you elli for your best tips, I have just one question, I would be appreciate if you kindly tell u your idea about transcribe method? Do you think it would be beneficial to imrove listening skill? Or do you belive its better just read the transcription and listen again and again?
Actually, I've heard that transcription can be a great way to improve your listening skills. It takes a long time but if you enjoy it, it can be very effective!
Dear Eli, Thank you so much for sharing! I am pleasure to be here for learning from you. All of your lessons are very useful and interesting. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the tips. How do we apply this in computer based listening test. Do we listen and write the same time, reading is distracting. Secondly, do we write on the paper given and after we finish we transfer into the computer,or we enter the answers as the test goes on.
@@EnglishProTips In your experience what do you suggest because reading and listening simultaneously is confusing. Do we listen first and write on paper and transfer after the listening to all the questions or we do read, listen, and write same time ?
@@EnglishProTips Many thx for your prompt response! In speaking what do you do if a word slips your mind and how do speak for exactly two minutes and how do you speak fluently and coherently? Is stress on the words important?
@@EnglishProTips teacher I can't able download from there I don't know why even though one of your writing video which give some questions topic's pdf that also I can't download
