Hey, the tricky thing is that words may only be synonyms in certain contexts. For example, look at this sentence: "I value your hard work" and "I appreciate your hard work"- here they are synonyms (the meaning doesn't change). However, what about this sentence: "The antique clock was valued at $100,000" (we can't say it was "appreciated" at $100,000. I hope this helps
