Their is a problem with the last one Maui should be charged for Te Ka's crimes because he stole a part of her the caused her to transform into what she is rather than being what she was meant to be he should be held accountable for how he nearly caused her to destroy the world by causing the deity to lose her sense of self and her sanity.

For real. Not only did she kidnap and neglect of a child, she stole and neglected a child of royal bloodline. That’s a reason for the death penalty.

If Bellweather was Lionheart's superior and Lionheart was acting on Bellweather's orders in the course of these abductions, then Lionheart would become an _accessory_ to Kidnapping and would be charged as such. But Bellweather was still the one who gave the orders. In the Armed Forces, if a Captain gives a Staff Sergeant the order to massacre a village of bystanders and the Staff Sergeant and his men carry the order out, then the Captain can (and probably will) still be charged with a war crime. Same situation with Bellweather; she doesn't get off the hook just because Lionheart was the one actually doing the crimes.

@@BloodyBay Lionheart didn't work for Bellweather, he was completely unaware of what was actually going on, as was evident by the dialogue he had with the badger doctor, he was just trying to cover it all up to protect his own job.

Lionheart was already arrested, so there wouldn’t be any point in charging him any further. This would give Bellweather death by either hanging or electric chair

Te ka shouldn't be charged in theory, protecting her home, as she's a goddess but maui doesn't know that. It's still protecting your home, the killing of the ocean and animals, is the charge she should face

Poisons, garottes and baseball bats can kill people without bloodshed. Using those weapons to terminate someone is still Murder, though. ;) I don't know about Gothel's dagger being bloodless, but back in my Correctional Officer days, I _did_ hear about one Offender taking a sharpened length of fence wire and rapidly stabbing another Offender about a couple dozen times with it; the stabbed Offender died from massive internal hemorrhaging and organ failure, but the shank was bloodless. So it's possible (if unlikely) for Gothel's dagger to kill Eugene without leaving a blood-gushing wound.

7:46 I don’t think it was stated, but I think the mayor is who did the false imprisonment and kidnapping. That was her whole plan, to turn savage predators loose to control the population, but the mayor kidnapped them to figure out why. So, she convinced a gullible, naive cop to do her dirty work.

Her intention here was to use Rapunzel as bait for an ambush, stabbing Eugene mortally as soon as he entered to rejoin with Rapunzel and was distracted with seeing Rapunzel bound and gagged. The fact that Gothel knew that Rapunzel could heal Eugene's mortal wound (and use that impetus to manipulate Rapunzel into leaving with her, to wit, "Agree to leave with me and I'll let you save his life; refuse, and he dies,") is immaterial; the threat to manipulate Rapunzel would not have worked if Gothel had inflicted a less-than-lethal wound on Eugene, and this whole plan was premeditated. That's *_Attempted Murder FIRST Degree,_* my man! In some nations, Gothel _might_ have an appointment with the executioner for _that_ one. 4:42 "Being a good citizen" was a good laugh, by the way! 😆

10:11 Tamatoa didn't really plan any of that (mostly because he's a spur-of-the-moment kind of giant crab), so you're spot-on with the Attempted Second Degree Murder charges. But how many Assault charges and/or Battery charges did Tamatoa rack up while he was roughing Maui up just to be a sadistic and vengeful jerk? The fact that Te Ka is made of lava is incidental; she's still striking Maui with an unarmed attack, not with a weapon. She can't help being made of lava and rage any more than you and I can just _not_ be made of flesh and bone. So that's just Battery, my guy. It _might_ still be considered Attempted Murder (as would attempting to strangle someone with your bare hands or hold them down and punch them in the windpipe until they die) if the court can prove beyond all reasonable doubt that Te Ka intended to terminate Maui instead of simply swatting him out of the sky because "Ugh, you're bothering me, go away." 😛 But that does lead us back to more philosophy: is it still Attempted Murder/Homicide if the assailant is a deity and/or a force of nature instead of human? And if a deity is immortal or otherwise everlasting, then how long _is_ a Life Sentence? 🤔
