there's a reason most pvp games don't have a combat system like genshin. you would have to nerf literally everything special about the combat, just turning it into "who can do the biggest hit the fastest"
Yae would just spam turrets and run until you die by auto aim and once u engage her she can burst u and then dash 3 times again. I guess Furina would be similar but probably worse
Exactly. There is a reason Kassadin is limited to around 4 dashes with the mana cost. Spamming dash in quick succession has always been strong, add autoaim dmg to it and its gg.
If you don't see purple then swap to kuki, if you don't see blue swap to Xingqui/Yelan & if you don't see green swap to nahida, hyperbloom is truly the most monke comp of all time......
To someone who is really bad at a game, even that is hard. My friend started playing recently and they struggled with switching characters since they had to look at the keyboard every time. Same with skill etc. so rotations wouldn't work at all
@@purpleandgreen5161 That more on your friend not being used to keyboard controls, not Genshin being "hard." It may work better for him if he used a controller or any input he's used to.
The main thing is the animation cancelling and dodging would have to be way different or the game would be way less interactive. Being able to instantly cancel most animations makes everything very non-committal, and the free invincible movement of dashing as well as bursts making you invincible would be make it an abhorrent experience. That's not even mentioning characters like Fischl or Chiori just aimbotting you
National variants (with Anemo) honestly have most of the important mechanics you need to learn for genshin’s combat: - General rotation crafting and buff uptime management - Swirls, double swirl setups, VV mechanics, swirl vs infusion - Snapshotting and how to exploit it - Vaporize mechanics, reaction directions - ICD (or lack thereof) - Driving off-field characters (normal attacking to trigger Xingqiu, dashing at the correct time to double hit with Xiangling) - Energy management, building the correct ER amount, funneling - Grouping with Anemo or enemy atk patterns, controlling enemy movement - Rotation flexibility for specific enemies or situations
what about furina and her goobers , she could summon them then just run around you for the whole match and if she somehow gets low she can abuse her healing summon with 100% uptime too
The thing is that all bosses and enemies in Genshin are created in same way as all playable characters its just that their hp is inflated at the cost of not able to crit and absence of artifacts. The Hydro Tulpa who one shots any non-hp scaling character can easily reach 500k forward vape crit with decent crit/em artifacts. That means artifacts have to be disabled in pvp if pvp ever comes to genshin which is like 80% of combat gone. That would also mean 300+ms Beidou breaking space-time continuum to land the perfect parry.
Artifact Luck is the least important of the things you mention (as well as a bunch of things you don't mention, like hp scalers vs atk scalers and ranged versus melee). Getting to a decent set of artifacts takes time, sure, but it does hit a point where you get severely diminishing returns in terms of power gained to time invested.
furina and charlotte would be absolutely insane you summon out furina's pet, and then you snipe them with charlotte's skill and just permanent freezing them, then you can do whatever you want
Surprise he didn't just mention ganyu for overworld. Just snipe everything from far even though the gameplay will get dull at some point and you'd probably wanna try other stuff. It us fun to snipe sometimes though
I used to play epic seven which has pvp and climbing ranks in that game was hell because the lower tiers are just filled with teams like dizzy, a.vildred or 4 tanks and if you go to rta its just a competition of who has more units built from most generalist picks to nichest characters whose only job is to counter the broken character of other team
Best characters in PvP would be Furina/Chiori/Fischl/Yae, basically anyone who can drop down a summon with auto-targeting and just spend the rest of the time dodging and running. Any catalyst user. Or someone like Dehya who can't die.
His explanation on that Nahida-XQ-Yelan-Kuki team is really good. What he said about lacking seeds (get hydro), getting electrocharged (get dendro), and not making hyperblooms (get electro) is so spot on: it's what I've been doing but without this subconscious awareness.
I belive Neuvi and Ganyu could be very op. Neuvi can sustent himself well while doing damage and ganyu would explode you from 3 miles away without you even knowing where it came from
Now that you mention it, xiao would be pretty good. When he jumps, only lyneys Level 2 cat thing can hit him, same with tighnari. Everything else does no damage or is bad.
Fischl was the character who made me "get" Genshin's combat system. Before I'd been running Beidou-Xiangling-Xingqiu-Kaeya, and accordingly getting no energy so no bursts, but using Fischl over Kaeya let me battery Beidou especially, and the others, so I could semi-reliably use their bursts. Understanding energy from Fischl let me learn how characters full kits worked, so I could use my characters properly and begin to learn rotations, reactions, and team building beyond a simple numbers game. 😊
A direct pvp for genshin would be almost impossible, you would have to make so many rules to balance out at least a little bit, that is more worth to make a new game, but they could make something diferent, timed pve versus kinda stuff idk
I think Zajef is overthinking things a little with the casual characters question. Lisa Aggravate with Collei and DMC, Barbara Bountiful Bloom with Collei, DMC, and Nilou, once PMC drops with Natlan, you could probably make a decent Oven team with Kaeya, Collei, and Barbara... I'm sure there are some other powerful low-investment teams a Casual Chris (or whomever) can indulge in. Anyone else has any ideas, feel free to include them. Also, I feel the only way Genshin PvP could work is either a MOBA or, ideally, a fighting game. Anyone else seen the Dehya mod for Guilty Gear Strive? It's heavenly!
I would've recommended Ayato for the new player since he fullfills all the needs given by the questioner: Auto-Aim, doesn't care about Enegery (burst when ever you want in hyperbloom) and solid resistance to interruption with XQ together. And since he is the biggest flex unit off all time, you can use him in various team comps for learning new elemental reactions (freeze, mono Hydro, Electro charged, vape, hyper carry, double geo etc.) Sure we've got Neuvilette but without his c1 i don't think he will be a fun option for a completly new palyer despite the self heal, also having to aim can be difficult for someone who struggles with a 3d game where you move the camera.
Yes! Agreed. My first thought was him and characters that aren’t burst dependant like yae, nahida, fischl, ganyu, kazuha etc. getting a decent amount of er at the start of the game is impossible without artifacts, and bursting just to kill one enemy is very annoying (cyno, ayaka, xiao, raiden, itto etc)
If it was a pvp game it will come down to who can dodge best and mobility. Scara against melee units. Ayaka with her no cooldown dash. Xiao with unli jumps. Yelan. In team scenarios range units will be op. And freeze comps. Ayaka have the most consistent cryo currently and paired with a xq or yelan. Venti and kazu will be god.
Every character would either be so nerfed and bad that they feel like garbage to play, or every character would be so broken that matches end at the character select screen So it would either be very balanced but unbelievably boring, or incredibly unbalanced and very frustrating. That's not even mentioning the constant issue with most online pvp games such as not finding rooms, or bad matchmaking, or absolutely broken techniques, or lag, or actual cheaters, or (somehow) more toxicity, etcetera I not only think a regular pvp mode would be unfun and unfair, I also think it would just be an outright bad idea because it would either take up too much dev time for a mode no one will play, or it would outright make the community worse For pvp, genshin should really stick to stuff like prop hunt or tag or that recent lantern rite one. The most competitive thing I could see them adding is a leaderboard, and that's about the extent of what I would want to see for pvp
The secret op for pvp would be Ningguang. -Long range homing normal and charge attacks that don't take a long time to charge -Jade screen for close up burst damage and blocking ranged attacks + small damage buff -Burst basically guarantees a kill (and if C6 then she'd get a bonus instakill charge attack) Ganyu would actually not be as good as people think if we assume the map/arena is more limited in size rather than the whole Genshin map since she'd be constantly interrupted during her long charge attack startup. Immortal Qiqi would be scary too
@@W-H98 And Neuvillette could probably hit him still because of his large charged attack hitbox. You might think, "oh I'll just fly higher," but auto-targeting will be your biggest enemy at that point.
If Genshin was a pvp game they'd have to balance is like World of Warcraft, where characters have completly different stats and even passive abilities in pvp compared to pve. In Wow it's pretty common for a character to do more dps than they have hp, or to do enough healing to top themselves back to full 3 times in a few seconds. But when you do pvp, your damage and healing are massively nerfed to make the game actually playable. That also means it's impossible to predict which characters will be good or bad based on their pve performance tho.
the meta would be hyperfridge or something. undodgable magic missile + paralyze spam lol. probably other archetypes that would just be so damn lame to play against but this is the one i feel is the worst.
Unfortunately her charge shot autoaim arrows scaling is too low. Tighnari should be better, especially paired with Raiden's skill Also, Yoimiya's charge arrows behave as Ningguang's stones, meaning they aren't accurate at all and do not target a far away enemy
Venti and its not even close. He uses skill and you are in the air. then he uses burst and you are dead XDD if burst is not availble its a bit different. Maybe youimia/wanderer cos they will stunlock you form afar and kill you in 3 shots cos dmg done is much more than hp . Neuvi for example will be incredibly bad
@@ednatopg3074 if C0 Neuvi you will hit him form affar and moreover he will be insta interrupted by normal attack. His passive to increase his dmg by 60% is also void
@@james-bx4wr any charge attack bow character dies to xiao, with his ult it’s 10x harder to hit him and his e is a 20k speedblitz, bow characters won’t have over 20k hp
Bleach brave souls has similar gameplay to genshin, and in the golden days of it's pvp, resistance to interruption and raw damage were the kings. Healers were practically useless because even with the damage adjusted for pvp specifically, your healer would just not heal enough to outheal the incoming damage from the other team of 3 damage dealers, also healers had no res to interruption. Neuvillete would also likely not be very good unless you have him C1, cuz res to interruption is insanely important in this scenario.
you also had auto play there, so obviously resistance to interruption matters. Because the charas weren't smart enough to dodge, kite, etc. When people talk about PvP they talk about player vs player combat. Not Bots vs Bots - which is what bleach brave souls had. My bots with their EQ vs your bots with their Equipment, go go fight!!!
@@serikazero128 Just of the top of my head, heroes of incredible tales, lost ark, both games are real people vs real people and resistance to interruption is THE SHIT. That's just how it goes in these types of games, otherwise you get stunlocked.
