If I see a video on a popular channel that seems interesting I log out so it doesn't screw up recommendations. And when you say you don't want videos based off that it just gives you more.

I run into this all the time and get ad's for the weirdest stuff that has nothing to do with what I'm interested in, heck one of the main reasons I use ad blockers. if the ad's where for actually interesting stuff it wouldn't be so bad. but it seems none of the ad companies have any idea what I really like, and I've even gone so far as to try to send them a message "hey, this is the kind of stuff I'm looking for" hopping that would give me some chance of getting relevant ads. but no even the ones that claim to want feedback on the ad's don't give you any way to send them any meaningful feedback. it's crazy these places will spend billions of dollars to data mine and try to figure out what I want with out asking me but also completely ignore me when I try to tell them I want something.
