Great information my friend! You might want to try soaking those and your metering diaphragms in brake fluid! I hear that it has something in it that soften up the rubber and just so as everyone knows, The ethanol alcohol in gas is not the demise of your diaphragms! It's Benzene that is in pump fuel from the gas station. And something else that will make these 2-stroke engine carburators stop working is paraffin wax that is in crude oil pumped out of the ground. What it will do is put a coating of wax so fine across the screen in the fuel inlet that you will have a hard time seeing it! But if you put a couple drops of fuel down inside the hole that the screen is located in you will see that the fuel won't drip through the screen because it has a fine layer of the wax across it that won't allow the fuel through. 😉
Hi I've got a echo pas2400 strimmer it primes good when cold but when hot and left for about half n hour it won't prime fuel up what is the coz regards
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ru-vid.comUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
No one showed this in any of the other rebuild video. Nice video. What I don't get is why you can't suck or blow any air through that one inner check valve but it's good. What's it for?
The check valve requires 2 sides, one to pull and one to push. One side allows fluid in and the other allows it to build pressure. With only 1 valve it requires a pump to push the fluid. This is the purge, the fuel pump is the same principal and moves low volume compared to a variable displacement pump.
I can't figure why the second check valve would not allow air to pass either direction. Was it clogged or is the tiny spring strong enough to block a human from building enough pressure / suction to flow past the tiny rubber flap ? Have you tried a device such as a Mityvac to see if it would flow ?
If the Second Valve doesn’t allow air either way then how it functions with gas seems to contradict. A one way valve should not stop flow both directions or else it is a problem
My issue with a new to me discarded echom it was filling until it sat. Can u recommend vender or venders for a new carb for 225i? I'm not even going try..just buy. 11-18 bucks is better than just the check valve It's a new to me carb.
@@charritolopez8223 ok, great..I just stopped and thought. A small engine Shoppe was talking me to just buy a new one. The W branded one for $60. I was torn since I just got the weedeater that was thrown away on a curb. It was cutting good to me while I used it. The refill end need me to feed it a new string. It didn't load Correct. I can pull a new piece through when needed. It was Free
