I love love love that you are using clips from The Untamed to teach because it's my favourite drama! I also think you explain very clearly and simple, it really helps my studying. Thank you for sharing!

It's generally taught that 又 goes with completed actions, while 再 goes with incomplete actions, usually in the present, in the future, or in the infinitive. > 我呢,跟导演也商量了一下,导演决定再给他一次机会。(ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1r_IibKPo0g.html) > I talked with the director. The director decided to give him another chance. ("to give" is in the infinitive) > 昨天她请我再到她家吃一次饭。 > Yesterday, she invited me to go to her house again for a meal. ("to go" is in the infinitive) > 昨天她又请我到她家吃一次饭。 > Yesterday, she invited me again to go to her house for a meal. ("invited" is a complete action) However, there are also examples that contradict this generalization. Perhaps 再 expresses an "intent" or "wish" whereas 又 expresses an unintended occurrence: > 那一次以后,他再也没有来过我家。 > After that one time, he's never come to my home ever again. > 昨天你不是去了吗,怎么又去啊? > Didn't you go yesterday already? Why are you going again? > 吃了吗,不要又饿到胃痛 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dKEXWSP8MZ8.html) > Did you eat? Don't starve again till your stomach hurt. > 妳不要又乱拿人家的钱 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VIBRNWphV2A.html) > Don’t take other people’s money again > 别又被骗了 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wyqFxQBqAow.html) > Don't be fooled again! I need to do further investigations on this.

@@ChineseZeroToHero Excuse me, but maybe 又 has the idea of "continued tendency" to it? I.e, "别又被骗了", "妳不要又乱拿人家的钱", "吃了吗,不要又饿到胃痛", "昨天你不是去了吗,怎么又去啊" - there is strong sense of the action being expected for some reason even if it may not be desirable. On the other hand, "那一次以后,他再也没有来过我家", "我呢,跟导演也商量了一下,导演决定再给他一次机会", "昨天她请我再到她家吃一次饭" these sentences don't seem to have this idea(please, correct me if they do, as I'm not a native speaker). It all means "again" or "one more time" but it's not "as usual". Then, does it make sense to try and guess that there is the same difference between "昨天她请我再到她家吃一次饭" and "昨天她又请我到她家吃一次饭"? Maybe 又 sounds as if it was "as usual" while 再 does not imply the same connotation? Please, tell me if you find this hypothesis interesting! My massive respect for such a good content.

As the teacher said early, zai means the continuation of a status or action. the word you means again. ni you lai le stresses you come again, but not the continuation of the action.

interesting that how these nuance troubles the language learners, native spreaders just learned this when they were young without thinking about it.
