By current law technicalities Sonic can’t be charged with speeding as it involves doing so with a vehicle. There’s no speed limit on how fast you can RUN even if he’s running at 300mph, even if it’s because of supernatural power. Laws would have to be specifically altered in the storyline for this to happen

@@TheSameGoobyGuy Whatever his abilities are classified as doesn’t matter. Speeding is DRIVING over the speed limit with some sort of vehicle and Sonic isn’t a vehicle. As much as driving at 300+mph would be against the law, RUNNING at 300+mph is not.

An unintentional mass blackout. For him to be charged with terrorism it would need to be proven that what he did was intentional and had some kind of radical motive for terrorising the public which even for this wouldn’t happen

vigilantism is heavily frowned on by the law. the definition also involves acting outside the law to enforce justice, so would still be illegal

Regardless of him stopping the robbers, if he is to help the police he must do so with due regard to the safety of those around him which he did not. The majority of this chase was him messing around with the robbers and not taking the situation or the safety of the civilians and law enforcement around him seriously at all. He could’ve easily done several manoeuvres to stop the truck from the beginning and didn’t, instead opting for being cocky and taking the situation as a complete joke and endangering everyone around him and causing god knows how much unnecessary property damage in the process.
