6:40, this is exactly right. I had been addicted to pornography and everything that comes along with it for probably over 20 years. It would be fair to say since the advent of the 14.4 modem. 5 years ago I was laying in bed listening to Father Mike, as one does, and he was talking about sin. And Father Mike presented sin as a choice between the disordered attachments or God, and in that very moment it seemed my like my very heart and soul stood at a fork in the road and in that one instance I had to choose, God or sin. And I knew with every fiber of my being I wanted to God. Celibate for 5 years now, no pornography, no masturbation and no using women for my own desires. Praise be to God.

There is so much freedom in chastity.

This is one thing I really appreciate about Fr Pine and Mtr Natlia being on Pints. Fradd is very much for 27 and under. EWTN is for like 56+. There is nothing wrong with that, but I am 31 with three kids and a wife and a job. I feel like Fr and Mtr speak more to my station, which I greatly appreciate.

Fr. Pine, regarding your remark about your "pausing at weird places:" Nobody notices. Pauses are a normal part of human speech. You can stop talking for as long as about 3 seconds in the middle of a sentence and it's going to be completely missed by anyone not actively looking for it.

I just asked God to make me a Saint, a lot of Spiritual battle involved in this.

When I was in RCIA, I strongly considered taking Saint Thomas as my confirmation saint. I didn't, instead finding a strong draw to Saint Joseph. However, recently in my battle for chastity, I came across the Confraternity of Angelic Warfare. I'm working on finding a Dominican priest to help me through the discernment and consecration for CAW. Every time I look around, I see the Dominicans and Saint Thomas calling to me. I never really gave much though to becoming a religious, lay or clergy, but I'm starting to wonder if that isn't where it'll lead. For now, though, a confraternity and growing in virtue is enough for me.

I have been a member of the Angelic Warfare Confraternity for about seven years. It is excellent and all who in any way struggle with this virtue should join it.

Loved THE QUIET LIGHT. beautiful! Angelic Warfare Confraternity wasn't difficult, my parish priest requested permission to enroll me and permission was given and so I enrolled. Very good. I'm so glad Fr Heilman recommended it.

I have been chaste 23 years. That is lay celibate. Very difficult for my married friends to see me.

Fr. Gregory, I give profuse gratitude to God for the gift of your intellect and countenance. I collect quotes from saints, and others whose words resonate in my soul. I transcribed multiply quips from you in this vlog, as well as from St. Thomas and St. Catherine. It seems that your recent completion of your dissertation super-powered your intellect with empyrean insight. I will be listening to this many times in the coming weeks in order to absorb all of the grace that God wishes to bestow through your vocation. Peace and grace be to you! I wish i would have had a resource like this before i turned adult, it was not spoken of in the house, sex, our community at the time was very anti catholic, my parents though also catholic did not make the holiest of choices so I figured that if they were ok, it was ok, has i known the dark deep hole of sexual promiscuity and sexual desires, ruled by it. Im now 40 and just now discovering these views and faith affirming community online, through His call, im in tears of gratitude and shame as i go through the process of re training my heart and mind, err rather having the truth implanted in me by His love and mercy. Thank you for these posts and all other religious (Roman Catholic) videos and bible studies, a thousand thanks.
