A lot of the best comedians are at their funniest when they are replying to a heckle.

Really? I only come here to make a comment about how he was awful when I seen him heckled. Went to a show with a friend.. Heckler starts firing zingers, Carr responds with preteen level "Yo Mama" jokes and heckler is just relentless and he just moves on. Of course most cheered for Carr but only because they weren't close enough to hear the heckler lol but his comedy wasn't a high bar so you are probably still correct.
