Resale on the Gen2 is insane. I paid $61K for my 2019, I"m selling it tomorrow for $65K. I'm going down to one car for a year and putting away the cash for a Gen3 Raptor R. As for reliability, you haven't gotten to the point where a Cam Phaser issue could come into play. That's a $6000 repair if you're out of warranty. There is also a pretty good wait for spare parts.
If I wait to get the new raptor and try to build and price it to my liking, will the dealers still try to oversell it above price? First time buying a new truck straight from the factory and know only what i've seen on youtube.
One of the best videos you’ve ever made a very good in-depth walk through the history of the awesome Ford raptor I appreciate it very much it wasn’t polluted too heavily with Dodge crap so much appreciate it guys to have one nice clean video with a deep look at a great product
I love my Gen 1, but it is one lazy V8, (I drive it as a 5 speed in tow haul best I've found for myself) but because I keep my trucks until they disintegrate its part of why I also love it, I do believe that motor the way its tuned WELL MAINTAINED will go 300k plus no problem. I personally CAN'T get over the V6 sound ( gen 3 to be determined) and I don't need or want 700+ horse power. I really wish a slightly built 5 liter was available.
This was before I was a subscriber, Roman looked to young to buy beer, I loved this look back, kinda like old Top Gears episodes. Love Top Gear, but I bought my truck because of you guys.
Why dont you call out the disgusting pricing that has gone from $65k to 80k to 100k? Why cant you buy a SCAB or SCREW XLT for 30-40k and then pay $25k for the Raptor package that includes all the tech. There is no reason for a loaded Screw to be $75-80k unless you are paying for $25k of upgrades to the base Lariat which we know is an already artificially inflated price as well, considering the rebates and push to get those off the lot under sticker. I can understand $100k for a real stripped down race truck with tube frame, v8, long+large shocks, independent suspensions, and other cool tech that you will need to pull up to Walmart with.
It's funny because that was the biggest complaint with the first gen. People crying about gas mileage and if I remember some people were making V6 Raptor kits. I think ford should have offered a V8 and a V6 options from the start
Nothing screams city slicker more than a overpriced truck named after a dinosaur rooooaaaarrrrr! Seriously, what is so appealing about this truck? It's extremely high priced and full of plastic pieces on the body that fade in a couple years or so. The giant F O R D in the grille looks so tacky. I seriously would feel stupid driving around a truck with Raptor on the side 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Pull up to the hunting camp and everyone thinking great, here comes the city slicker with a hundred pound backpack of supplies for a two hour hunt 🤣🤣🤣
