I was 5 years in relationship, it was good in first year, it had ups and downs as it has in most relationships. But i did 2 big mistakes- i stayed in relationship because i liked what it comes with it, not because she was good girlfriend, because being single was last case scenario for me. Second one- i neglected hanging out with friends, i thought that relationship is all i need and i felt fulfilled so i didnt even considered to make some good connection with people on collage. So in other words, i stayed in relationship for longer than i should because i was thinking finding someone else is such hassle and not that easy, and i felt like i had some kind of safety to be with someone than alone, and cuddles, texting, s*x etc., was good enough for me (not quality of that, but just mere presence of that), even though back then i knew i can find someone much better, i stayed because i already got like developed relationship and it had mentality to - work with what you have.
