I think this is a really good game. One thing I think would make it better would be the ability to change the surroundings from day to night - imagine Lego City at night, all lit up - I think it would look great.

This is my favorite Lego video game... no questions asked. I just think that the replay ability is VERY high. I still haven't fully finished that game yet! If a sequel came out for the Switch, sign me up!

Glad this is getting a remaster to consoles. Could maybe add multiplayer now and fix the locking screens.

I have the ps4 version. Im 32 years old and tbh i love this game. Its just a sit back and relax type of game

The loading times are not that bad. It gives you time to think about your next plan and gives you time to get a drink or something.

Only announced in North America at the moment, but yes. It's called The Chase Begins and it's a prequel.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FOLLOW THE DANG TRAIN, CHASE MCCAIN!

There's also the possibility of a potential sequel where they could introduce a partner for Chase (which could also add to the story) and allow for offline/online co-op.

Purchased last week. Very large world, and lot's of fun. The best "GTA" I've played since GTA 3.

Knack, Killzone 4, Drive Club, Infamous 3? Funny how they've already shown more in house for their system that hasn't even launched yet then Nintendo has for the Wii U which has been out for FOUR MONTHS!

60fps was never a selling point of the WiiU, but they did promote HD rendering. Many, many devs would opt to run at 30fps if they could push more effects, just like how most ps360 games render at 720p or less for the same benefit.

The main offender for loading screens in this game I find is when you go from the Police Station to LEGO City takes forever....

About time Tt broke this habbit of sticking the name Lego onto every successful movie/comic book imaginable. It's been a long, LONG time since we had a Lego game that relied on it's own original characters and an open world since the Lego Island games.

What I love about this game is you can play as a whole bunch of the different mini figure series characters.

All of the problems you mentioned got fixed in the ps4/XBox versions

Lego City Undercover looks like GTA V.

I love the fact that you understand this! I adore my WiiU, it's my pride and joy, and I don't mind a couple of mindless shooters (Goldeneye on Wii is one of my favorite games for example) but I also love all the other stuff such as this, Metroid, along with the many other rewarding experiences that Nintendo is so well known for.

I think this game deserves a at least a 8.5 because it was fun entertaining and I actually did not find that many long lasting load screens.

not all games need co-op. You guys really need to lay off of the co-op / multiplayer crack pipe

here in IGN the Genre matters alot, any FPS game starts from 7+/10 the popularity plays another role so a popular FPS gets 8+/10 The Platform plays the last role, if it's on XBox it goes up to 9+ on PS3 it's 7+ same goes for Wii and WiiU

This was a really special game. Most Lego games put me to sleep and usually feel like a stale chore to play. This game was a delight from beginning to ESPECIALLY that insane finale. It was charming, hilarious, incredibly likeable, and just a joy to play and explore. It's not trying to be cinema or pack in as much brown as possible, it's what games used to be: pure, blissful fun. One of the best games I've played in a long time.

Hmm its a spiritual successor thats why it ties into ico at the end with the boy who has horns and then the shadow creatures which appear as well, look exactly like the ones in ico.

Because its not a prequel its a spiritual successor much like The Last Story and Final Fantasy is.

They say they have a lot of 3rd part support but thats what every hardware company says until later down the line you realize where are all the games? Nintendo and Microsoft does this a lot often.

This game looks awesome and I hope it's the start of many new fun games to come for Wii U since I love the system. I'm getting this and Need for Speed, and hopefully our WiiU draught is over!

They will, I never understood Sony fans saying Nintendo only remakes their games. How many HD collections does Sony have? Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly, Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, God of War (3), Infamous, KH, Ico, Killzone, etc. At least for the most recent Nintendo Zelda game, it's remastered, not just an HD port.

According to some, "the games at the conference were boring". I would love to see what they say if those two were announced.

The wii u is one of those gaming systems that you don't really understand until you get your hands on one. They are actually a ton of fun, and to the people who criticize it, don't bash it until you have actually sat down and played it. I bought one because i wanted something different. Everyone is taking it about the ps4, but it is the sane thing as a ps3 just better graphics. The wii u could produce some outstanding and original games because of its unique hardware, it just needs more Support.

NSMBU, Monster Hunter, Wind Waker remake coming soon, Nintendoland, and Lego City Undercover which has a lot of other Nintendo references in it. You don't have to have the big games like a 3d Mario, a Zelda, a Mario Kart, a SSB, a Kirby, or a Metroid game to enjoy Nintendo games. You can't write off smaller games just because they aren't system sellers. They probably thought NSMBU would be a system seller, but it hardly pushed the system. I'm a Nintendo fan and I'm excited for this game and MH3U

Lego Jurassic Park should be a thing. With the new found open world we could walk around the place in all its Lego-ey goodness.

I used to love the Lego City games when I was a kid lol. I'd probably enjoy this too. I don't think its worth buying a Wii U though

I still love this game... If TT would make a launch title on NX as a sequel to this, I would buy NX day one.

*Update* shortly after the reveal of the Xbox One from Microsoft many fans were disappointed and in case you haven't heard Wii U sales on Amazon in the UK increased by 875% which is incredible. Also I have heard that everyone who has talked about it will not get it. You just wait till fall this year they are re-introducing it with tons of highly anticipated and great quality games.

Outside of Monolith's game nothing was shown for the Wii U

Again I'll say. We've SEEN more games from Sony's IN HOUSE DEVELOPERS than we've SEEN games from Nintendo's IN HOUSE DEVELOPERS.

That's why Nintendo is the standard for instant classics. When people look back on their childhoods and teen years, they don't remember the Ps1. They remembered their Gameboys and their Gameboy colours. They rembered their Nes and their Super Nes. Please, take a seat.

It's published by Nintendo, which is why it was SUPPOSED to be a launch title, but was delayed.

Try to put your audio setting to Stereo instead of Surround. We've been having trouble with a couple of titles including Skylanders.

Because they think every game should have online multiplayer or co op. I think it is better without the co op...imagine the split screen in a world this big! I am loving the game!

10/10 People don’t realize how great this game was. Yes “LEGO Batman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and marvel super heros we’re classics. But I’m not joking this game was and is now thee best Lego and top 10 best game. This isn’t just nostalgia cuz I replayed it 3 times (Wii U) when I was little and 2 more times with my little brother on switch.

When Nintendo drops games like a Mario, a Zelda, Mario Kart, Smash and other Nintendo game the sales will sky rocket. But as of now if you're a NINTENDO fan and you buy Nintendo systems for NINTENDO made games. There isn't really anything for you.

Well excuse me i meant Wii Sports Resort, cause thats the game which has sold 30 plus on the other hand Wii sports sold 70 plus mil, Even with out being bundled NSMB sold around 20 million and then boosted further with the bundle including mario kart which sold up to 20 million before it was bundled. Wii Sports resort is not the same as Kinect Adventures btw as its actually a good game, with an 80 on metacrritic while adventures only has a 61.

It was bundled. That's why it sold. It' merely for people to test the Motion Controls. There's nothing special or ground breaking or original about those games. They are merely showcases.

I was a bit annoyed by how long they took, but if you check your phone quickly or get a quick soda, it doesn't feel that long. I clocked it, the average was 40 seconds, that could test many gamers' patience.

I always wondered why they just dont simply fix the loading before releasing games or in this case at least make a patch through DLC or something. The least least least they can do is put something on the gamepad screen that could entertain us whilst the loading is in progress like some stunts or funny stuff we did during our gameplay.....

Best part is that's like every worthwhile title right there.

You have some valid points, it is lacking games. It won't get games unless some people buy the console though. I don't regret my purchase. I'm getting the same enjoyment as I did with my Xbox in its first 6 months. Not a lot of consoles launch strong, and it's far too early for the "Wii U doom articles". The 3ds picked up sales when Super Mario 3d Land came around. there's no reason to believe the Wii U won't pick up once they release a 3d Mario game on it.

That's why they need to announce killer games and must haves. I hear rumors that FF Versus will be a PS4 exclusive. Maybe Kingdom Hearts 3 announcement?They must show good games in the various developer shows in the coming months leading up to E3. Besides, that didn't hurt the PS3 sales too much when the PS2 was selling.
