EA please terminate your contracts with all sports licenses. You are destroying all of the franchises that many people play, and for my case used to play. If you can give us such a cheap basketball game, imagine what other companies could have done with American Football and Soccer, in terms of game development. EA go home....
This looks awful and i'm not even a basketball fan, but in all honesty if 2K can be so good for basketball games and amazingly better then NBA Live then a 2K football/soccer game could be so much better then FIFA. Would love one.
the problem is EA has so many license that limits 2k ability to some degree and whoever said madden was good need to check there eyes that game is the samething every year with a new code of paint madden hasnt been the same since 2k stop making football games this is why competition is good

EA had like 4 years to make a decent basketball game and they couldn't deliver. It's complete and utter BS to release that crap on PS4. The game looks like a HD PS2 title.
I think this is the end for Live, just not what it use to be. The brutal truth is that if 2K devs could make a NFL football game they would probably dominate that.

EA doesn't know how to make a sports game period. Whether its basketball or football. I wonder when the NFL will realize this and allow other companies who are passionate about their product make a football game that reflects the technology we have today. it's not even the fact of 'if you compare it to 2k' because that's just disrespectful to 2k14 for this crap to be compared to it. it's a complete no brainer. a comparison for this would be like....not even PS3/360 2k14 OR 2k13 because even THAT looks AND plays better! Like c'mon EA, you can't tell me you really thought to compete with 2k with this shit. I'm not complaining about the graphics (even though they're horrible too) but you could have AT LEAST got the game play right! Like the game play is horrible too! Trust me, I played NBA live today as well. It feels absolutely sloppy and.....just BAD. I think IGN was way too nice giving this a 4.3. I'd honestly rate this a zero. They've got nothing going for them except slight presentation improvements....
I have no idea what the heck happened-I have NBA Live 10 and its honestly one of the best game graphics I've ever seen in a sports game and it makes 2K game graphics look like they were designed by 5 year olds...NBA Live 14 on the other hand looks like it was designed by newborns and overall looks atrocious..I've always hated 2K but I actually have 2K14 now and I have to admit 2K14 is better even though I personally think the graphics are not nearly as good as Live 10.....hope EA gets it together for Live 15

I hate in madden the pop up that comes up for the quarterbacks stats glitch that happens in crucial situations and doesn't allow u to spike that shit is so annoying
The only part I'm jealous about compared to 2k is that live has the real scoreboard you on tv and the fact they have man of the year and numbers on the boards in soundtrack

Live hasn't been a proud series since Live 04… which was back when Shaq, AI, and T-Mac still played, when Seattle had a basketball team, heck when the Miami Heat's Big 3 where all rookies! i just actually downloaded the demo because i was curious to see if it really is a bad as people make out and tbh i don't think it is. obviously i also have 2k14 which is far superior however from what i can see from the demo it's a decent little game
I still play ESPN NFL 2k5 to this day that football game was probably the greatest football game ever 2K needs to get the NFL license back and take it back from the money hungry people that is EA sports
I am praying that nba live 15 will be good. I really enjoyed nba live 10's gameplay, it was so much better than 2k's gameplay back then, but now, 2k both looks better and plays better than live...
I hope for 2k15 that they get the espn license. That would be great combined with the already good commentary also throw in shaq c Barkley & Clyde Frazier for the Knicks games and it would be perfect! Live has become an awful series this should be the last one.
I'm tired of always seeing Ea and 2k making the sports games. There should be more developers/studios able to make basketball games or soccer games. There has to be more competition in the sports genre. It would hopefully encourage developers to work harder and overall make better games. Except for EA Sports they should just retire.
2K is years maybe even a decade ahead of EA when it comes to basketball games. Just hang it up, let ESPN and 2K make a deal and let us consumers reap the benefits.

EA has definitely gotten lazy and complacent over the years. Putting out the same game from years past just in a new packaging. They do this for every title they own. I hate that Madden has the only rights to NFL content because EA does not feel the need to make it better since the "hit-stick".
Yea EA makes tweaks here and there but the do not come up with better gaming experience anymore. It just seems like the changes they make could be done with an update online instead of me buying a new madden every year. (which i dont anymore)

Uncle Jrue No idea what 2K's AI is like. Never played it. I wasn't making any comparison between the two anyways. But no, the AI is not getting any better in NHL. They are still too stupid to make a play, or to retrieve the puck, or do anything of use. I've played the last 4 NHL games for a good amount of time each and if anything, it's gotten worse.
Are you talking about be a pro? because I only play NHL when I can control every players. All I ask is for them to be not dumb defensively and be in good positions so I can set up plays, and so far, it is much better than last years NHL.
Uncle Jrue No, I've actually found Be a Pro better than the rest of the game in terms of AI. I mainly do Play Now or HUT, and they're both horribly stupid. That's all I ask of them too and so far, I've been terribly disappointed. Doesn't help that if they do set up a play, passing is wildly inaccurate and will often pass to the furthest guy possible. I've tried with Pass Assist on and off, and it just doesn't work the way it should.

It is terrible for everyone that paid for NBA Live 14 only to receive an unpolished product. Although EA did promise to improve gameplay and graphics, that will take weeks to months for any fixes. Who would pay $60 for a game that doesn't even measure up to last gen's 2K games?
