idc. 2020 this still is my favorite football game

I rented 12 and love it....today I rented 13 & honestly I think 12 is way better

In my opinion this game was awesome

Just re-bought this game again on Ebay! Can’t wait to get goin on it

The 3D grass is ONLY in replays and cutscenes, when you are actually playing the grass looks like shit

I still Remember sitting in my grandmas basement with my dad cousin and uncle as a 4 year old and watching them play against each other

I wish NFL madden was like that now

The ncaa football franchise might be the greatest sports gaming franchise of all time imo

I have played every madden and ncaa football game. And I have found that NCAA football 12 and 09 are by far the two best football games on the PS3. Madden 12 is the best madden for ps3 with great graphics and the best franchise mode.

@Ausbos5 The new tackling systems DOES kick ass. I just got through playing the demo.....again. I caught a pass, juked a defender, spun into another tackler and got ROLLED on. All I could say was, "oooohh!" I usually don't react like that to games. Those hits are hard as hell. It feels even better to get one on the CPU. I also like the fact that this game is competitive. No slider adjustments needed.

This game is over $100 on Amazon. Just found it for $26 on GameStop website in case anyone is looking for it cheaper.

nothing amazing about it, but it is a nice step up. offense is harder to run than previous years. i actually kind of enjoy not being able to score 120 on the computer.

If you really think about it that NCAA Football & Madden has the same graphics,gameplay every year. The only that changes is the player's numbers and teams they play on. Also a few features that you really don't notice

No doubt, the game looks great. Still plays like every player is running on treadmills.

There's nothing terribly wrong with getting them every year. Even if the changes are subtle, you don't have to miss out on them to "seem smarter." I had 2010 and 2011 and I traded in 2011 to help pay for another game. I haven't touched NCAA since February, and I don't already have a dynasty in 2010 so I'm not going back to that one... I'm not saying that it's guaranteed that I'll get this one, but it's very likely. And do you expect ea NOT to release one every year? That would be stupid

I remember watching the the MLB Home Run derby on tv. Then going to GameStop for the midnight release. For so many years.

the create a player mode is at least better then madden's version.. Not that hard to improve on that mode :-)

@1Dub79 yeah I feel it, Madden 11 burned me bad last year and I ended up trading it for NCAA 11. From what i've seen of Madden 12 though it looks like a significant upgrade possibly even a bigger upgrade than NCAA 11 to 12. The camera angles/ presentation looks amazing, Dynnamic Player performance and improved franchise mode/superstar mode are also pluses, not to mention the player models looks really good and team specific intros. Might be the first year I buy and keep both games haha

Way wrong on NCAA 11 nothing was new except how players ran = locomotion. Look this new tackling system kicks total ass. Completely changed how this game is played like back in the ps2 days and graphics are better. Way better than last year = huge step forward.

honestly...i only watched up to 0:40 and making a prediction. overall-8.0-8.5

they should have at least have the whole team run out instead of the starting offense and 3d crowd and people moving around and at least cbs and abc along with the player face customazation and and diff. hair length and should show the white people love with the long hair and with addias visors and both team 1st and 2nd color sleves, gloves, cleats, and wrist bands and nike bands and lots of other stuff

to all the people saying its the same as last year and blah blah blah, you realize theyre not gonna change much from last year right? And its also your fault for buying the game every year. I buy madden and NCAA once every 3-5 years, so in that time they get new stuff in and also feels improved. if you keep buying this/madden every year, what new is gonna happen? Are they gonna get new teams? New conferences? New graphics? (Not every year new graphics come out)

also what happen to simple jukes left or right this game made the right trigger useless on offense you cant even run people over, can anyone catch????!!!!!!! recievers drop easy passes dbs drop easy pics, rtg change that pointless camera angle, and there are other people on the field to block not just the one the user is on its so frustrating playing other people, this game sucks

@Bfrench95 lol. What is your beef with the game? Did you get NCAA 11? Believe it or not, I am thinking about buying that one. It has a very low price on Amazon. The thing is I wanted to play with a lot of players, who went to the NFL, this year.

@shortdevil2 Yes because everyone who enjoys a new game of football is truly a "high school sucker'. The only NCAA I have is 09 and I can't wait to get NCAA12.

Missouri and Notre Dame are my favorite team. Nebraska is a close behind tho.

this game is broken in so many ways. you cant even play the cpu because they know your plays and routes and always select the right formation and coverages. all you have left is the online portion which is a bunch of kids cheesing eachother. really, what is the point of this game? ill stick to watching college football from now on because ea just cant make a good football game. and to think the nfl and ncaa let them have exclusive rights to pump out an annual terd every year.

I love how people give NCAA such high praises and trash Madden every year. In my opinion this is worse than either Madden or NCAA 11 . The gameplay is not as smooth as last year and the Road to Glory is just shitty. The AI calls plays for you that are completely random and don't fit the situation (like a dive on 3rd and long) and you can't audible till you build your character up. Alot of times you will run the same type play in succession up to 3 times in a row.

@oconnell5522 Madden has had the worst gameplay since 2006! No offense but I want to know what Madden you have been playing. This is the only time in probably 5 years that Madden could actually be better. NCAA is straight horrible this season. Madden is a debacle every season back to 2007. 2010 it seemed like they might have it right but then they made 11 and it got much worse. Only cheesers (people who can only play on getting lucky) call Madden a good game.

@ThEsHeEn117 I am not putting my money on Madden. I have not bought it in a few years. This years NCAA is straight horrible. I like to use the little teams and make it a challenge. The game though has not consistency to it. WR always drop passes. The computers players never do. Running the ball is next to impossible. QB over throws wide open receivers almost every time. I tried adjusting the sliders with not much effect. I am only giving NCAA 1 more year. If it is not better next year im done.

The game is good and all, but i cant help but notice that some schools (like texas A&M) have none of their traditions in the game. Being an Aggie fan this disturbs me, especially with the fact that the Fighting Texas Aggie Band is replaced by some gay cookie cutter high school band. Also the game has Bevo, the georgia bulldog, and the buffalo from colorado, but no Reveille. Idk why they aren't included especially since A&M is the #9 team in the country. Very disappointed by EA.

i agree with everyone on here that said this game took a huge step back from last year and all the other years prior. iv bee playing ncaa football since 05, this by far is the worst one I have played. the computer is dumb. one of my players on defense will run next to the guy with the ball for about 3 yards before he tackles him. when i switch players on defense it rarely switches me to the player who is closest to the ball. sometimes the CPU will take over my DE. will never preorder again

The main problem with this game is they've ratcheted up the AI on defense so much that it's going to alienate casual players that just want to pick the game up and play a virtual game of football... It is possible to pass in this game, but they made it too much like real life... Little dink and dunk passes here and there and then about 6-10 deep balls a game... Takes away from the over all fun of the game... Most gamers don't want to be an Offensive Coordinator just to play a video game lmao

@mmazz94 I think its because Rutgers hasn't been historically good except for in what 1870, and even were so bad that people thought about reducing their football team to div 1-AA, so i think most people didn't even it know Rutgers was the birthplace and won a national title along with Princeton because most people great grandmothers weren't born yet when they last won something, and not to be rude but i was surprised when u said top 5 recruit, and i checked very site and they dnt have one

This game's grpahics hides HUGE flaws. Linebackers and safety's are coming out of nowhere and swatting passes down. Receivers drop passes like crazy! And the running system is so choppy and unrealistic. I've never seen these problems before in any recent ncaa and its sooooo frustrating! And the part that makes me mad the most is EA's lack of abilty to patch and repair for shit! from here it looks like madden has ncaa beat this season.

i like the game! hate the annoying mascot cut scenes! yeah, i can just hit the "X" button to get rid of it, but c'mon! i don't mind the mascot from time to time BUT show the more of the cheerleaders! is it just me or when you watch a REAL football game they show more of the fans and cheerleaders than the mascot! last year's version of NCAA 11 was spot on with more of the cheerleaders and fans than this mascot friendlier version. NCAA 12 + NCAA 11 fan & cheerleaders cut scenes = BETTER!

just got it today and i already want my money back. i find myself bored already with the entrances and gameplay, they still need to fix the gameplay faults the been around since ncaa started im sick of ninja linebackers that jump 25 feet in th air to knock the ball down, or my QB/Rb getting injured every 3 plays if im lucky. Not to mention a new fault in the game with the dropped passes were the WR drops a pass even though he is wide open or the WR standing around when u throw it deep

@6OOENT yea i dont know if you noticed but backbreakers physics engine was a huge failure.....the game flat out sucks in just about every aspect...and people always say 2k should do the games...2k hasnt touched a football game in 7 years...and there only credible sports game is nba...and a hockey game but who give a crap about hockey....and of course ea could put out a better game... but no matter what they put out people will always complain.. stop crying and enjoy the game its pretty awesome

I loved this Bullshit...where (paid) reviews have gone. IGN (real respected by me) ....takes 2 sentences on gameplay and tackling....THIS IS WHERE FOOTBALL AND GAME REVIEWS HAVE GONE! RU-vid was also not created for you to market your website. It was created for a free exchange of ideas. This review focuses (I guess) where the EA Football consumer is now...buy game...little improve game...wow big explosion...pretty colors in game..says 2012 on box not 2011...Must buy...New Game! Ok people NCAA 11 was a fantastic game, NCAA 12 has fixed pretty much all the major issues with NCAA 11, added HDR lighting, 3D grass, new tacking system, Improved RTG and dynasty including coach mode. That seems like a pretty good upgrade to me. If you think its the same then fine stick with NCAA 11,and while you do that i'll be playing the superior version of that game and lovin it.Final note if you think it "looks the same" check out "The photographic side of NCAA threadon operation sports

The AI is horrible in this game in RTG, As A running back, blockers often run past guys rather then blocking them, they play calling is horrible, and You will always lose Confrence games because they score on every drive and you cant do anything about it, i lost as #7 VT to #5 FSU and i had 250ish yards and 4 TDs

-Too many fatass middle linebackers being able to jump 4 feet and block passes -Too many dropped passes, blocked passes -Every Reviewed Play is overturned -More announcers, instead of Herbstreit and Corso announcing every game -More/Better Band Formations, or maybe even a Halftime show -Too many minor injuries Right Now its a 8/10 for me, but fix these and it will be a 10 :)

@E115woods14 the difference is ncaa graphics are better, the recruiting is good, online dynasty, rtg is ok, dynasty mode is better than franchise mode, madden is the same every year and ncaa is starting to be like that with the graphics and dynasty mode the coaching thing isnt really a big upgrade because you can be any school you want as a head coach or coordinator

@jimdude99 Same shit as last year? No suction animations and consecutive hit tackles, (two issues which plagued NCAA 11 and Madden 11 and sometimes broke the gameplay) were fixed this year. More responsive controls, better graphics, more fluid gameplay this year. Just because it's "cool" to hate on EA doesn't mean you should.

football is my life the dallas cowboys are far more superior than anyother team out there just wish now days tony romo would take advice from Dirk and the mavericks and know how to be champions like the mavs but still we still won 5 supers bowls my dallas cowboys will rise againt to be the high caliber team again and win another super bowl this year go cowboys :)

@footballman6417 meh but it is stupid to buy a sports game every year. The small amount of updates are just not worth it. Smart people buy sports games every 2 or preferably 3 years. However if a sports game is someones most played game then i understand them getting it every year.

If you say all sport games are the same then u must not like sports yes the gameplay is the same but what are u supposed to do make it 4 touchdown spots on the field if you say their all the same then your just looking at gameplay which is like saying all games played in sports in real life are the same

Sports games aren't meant to be bought every year, and i can assure you, EA would get a lot more shit if they didn't release a new game every year, and since i know it'll come up, its pretty much the same with Call of Duty, skip the Treyarch titles, and get the infinity ward ones

@MrEminemfan007 here are some mroe for ncaa, -offensive line does not properly pick up blocks - in road to glory, play calling is horrific, my quarterback decided to do 4 verticals on 3rd and 1 -.- -quarterback does not properly read plays

@obvprince3 get NCAA,I have both and NCAA has a better experience.Also,it's easier to run plays.I haven't touched Madden in months but the last time I played it,it seemed impossible to run the ball more than 2 or 3 yards a play.

They don't have the real names because it's against collegiate rules. 2K will not be able to make any college football games or nfl games in quite a while becuase EA have licensing rights to both. They have pretty much monopolized the industry.

@jimdude99 actually no sports games always change up because of new players each year, sports games are the only games that can get away with a yearly release for a good reason still not buying it a year but it makes since to make a yearly sports game

It's retarded that I have to take out 5 Ohio State Buckeyes, 2 LSU Tigers, 8 Miami Hurricanes, 1 Oregon Duck from the game. That includes the starting quarterbacks for OSU, LSU, and the U. -_-

@oconnell5522 I did not see it. Offensive linemen were still going no where to block someone that was not there. One day EA will have to make good games. Hopefully that is sooner rather then later.

no lie this game fucking sucks in Dynasty mode the defense knows your offense better than your offense and when you play defense they ridiculous runs and catches dont get this game save your money

Why do we play sports on our computer/Xbox/PS3/ what ever? If you enjoy sport then go out and play it in real life. Let games like Fallout 3 rule your consoles and computer, not these rubish sports games.
