Please share more of your games. They're more informative than other tutorials because they in a way give us a complete picture of your thought process for the entire game.
Yeah! I think seeing games and the thought process behind them is super useful. Shows how he uses all the principles he teaches innately because hes drilled them so hard.
I feel proud to see that my teacher makes Fabiano Caruana defend with the white pieces throughout the match. This makes you feel that you are learning chess in the right place. Greetings from Egypt.❤❤
Sac the queen! 1. ... Qh2+ 2. Kxh2 2. Rf1# Yes, do show your other game that was more positional. Your explanations and advice on how to think in a game are superlative.
I would love to see you do speedruns and play live games while giving commentary. I love your channel and am a fan! Really helped me improve thank you for that
Awesome game Igor! Here the solution to the puzzle: Qh2+, Kxh2 is forced Rf1 is a checkmate, because it leads to a discovered check by the dark squared bishop. The rook prevents the King from moving to h1 and the pawn prevents the king from going to h3.

The chess coach I follow and aspire play like and the GM I always root for and aspire to play like, played each other... My sensei vs my hero This is a fine day gents. Thank you both.
In your final position, ... Qh2+!! (followed by ... Rf1#) is brilliant - Bravo! (of course) speaking only for myself, I would appreciate seeing your other game against Fabi. I generally prefer seeing more positional games - I just watch your channel because I need tactical practice more than anything else!
This channel is gold. The ideas are more easier to follow as compared to mainstream channels. Also what engine do you use to analyze positions. Like Stockfish 16 breaks apart in certain positions whereas komodo dragon is easily able to navigate.
Yes please . Really enjoyed your tactical insight re mobilising rook / queen , delaying exchanges , “fill in “ moves , leaving opponents pawns as defensive obstacles etc . A lot of fun !
I believe the move is Rf5/Rf6/Rf7/Rf8, anyretreat move to stop blocking the queen-bishop battery, then Qh2# is unavoidable Oh, just checked with stockfish, which can delay one move by Qf3 sacrificing the queen, so this works but not as good as Qh2+ followed by Rf1# as others mentioned
- Consider unusual openings to disorient your opponent (0:15) - Counterattack when a piece is threatened rather than retreating (0:54) - Develop all pieces, including connecting rooks, for full harmony (2:37) - Activate underused pieces, such as corner rooks, to maximize their potential (3:37) - Avoid unnecessary exchanges that could relieve your opponent's cramped position (7:11) - Utilize prophylactic moves to anticipate and prevent opponent's plans (8:00) - Sacrifice pawns strategically for greater piece activity and attacking chances (10:12) - Maintain tension and avoid exchanges when attacking to keep pressure on the opponent (11:02)
... Rf3 opens up the diagonal and threatens mate. If white captures with Qxf3 (since bishop is pinned), then ... gxf3 with M1 threat by ...Qxg2#, and if white doesn't capture and plays and other move, then checkmate by ...Qh2#
This video echoes the importance of logistics in war, i.e. getting all your troops and supplies in the best position to reach the appropriate places and battlefields. Counterpoint to beginners who just jump in and play hero with single pieces.
Well, Kh8 prevents the tempo gaining check by white's bishop at d5. This allows you to advance the pawn without giving the check. So, it serves a purpose.
Finish could be: 1..Qh2!, KxQ 2. Rf2+ (discovered check from Black’s dark-squared Bishop), K any 3. RxQ. With Black’s rook on the 7th rank & White’s Bishop hemmed in, Black should win easily.
You are the king of the "igor nation" since this match has proven that you are really a super grand master. I have enjoyed the "tactics" of this game, so please make more videos like these & have a pleasant rest of your day.
Super game Igor. I've beaten a high ranked player after strenuous efforts but I know I got into a number of good positions accidentally and that's why the different skill levels, so it was just a one off for me, while he may have played some inaccuracies. I made no errors according to the analysis, which was most surprising. I don't cheat and wouldn't know how.
i have a problem i'm able to find moves in your puzzels but i don't know what happen to me while playing the game. Its too hard to see through opponent move and finding check mate #
