Straddled on the border of Brazil and Argentina, Iguazu Falls is one of the 7 wonders of the world.
It's the word's largest waterfall system.
Taller than Niagara and wider than Victoria.
Iguazu can be visited on both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides.
80% of the falls are located on the Argentinian side.
The Argentinian side has a day full of trails allowing visitors to experience the falls from below and above.
The Brazilian side has the best panoramic view of the falls.
On a sunny day, visitors can enjoy an incredible collection of rainbows.
How to go (Argentinian visit):
- Get to Puerto de Iguazu (IGR airport, flights from Buenos Aires)
- Catch the Rio Uruguay bus from the main bus terminal, leaves every 15 minutes, approx. 2 euros one way (2000ARS in early Dec 2023)
- Bus will take about 30 minutes to reach the national park
- Enter the park, buy tickets there or show previously bought online tickets, approx. 18 euros pp
- Enjoy the trails
- Optional speed boat ride to get up close to the crashing water, about 40 euros pp
To know:
- There is wifi available at the park cafes/restaurants
- You can bring in your own water and food
- Taxis are readily available
- Hours 9am-6pm
