How I built 2 different IKEA utensil holder stoves. You can see these 2 stoves at work in my "IKEA DIY STOVES COOKING BREAKFAST OUTDOORS" VIDEO. I like these 2 project/stoves because they turned out to be so simple, inexpensive and very affordable but yet extremely effective. The legs are made from "One Hole 1/2" Steel Conduit Straps". They can be obtained in any hardware store for cents on the dollar each.

Nice DIY stoves! I also made too, almost the same as your first one shown. It works very well, I just use tent pegs instead of the computer fan grill, only because it works and fits in the bag I use to carry it with my other cooking supplies. It all stays in my truck and goes everywhere I do... Just in case!

You can actually use the original bottom holes to bolt the feet in a perfect triangle. Use the middle hole of first row plus 1st and last hole of the 4th row. Love your feet idea. Works perfectly. The fan covers are also brilliant.

Love the fan grating repurpose! Seems like a perfect fit for two such diverse objects in purpose. The engine paint is a good trick too.

I agree with you & for the $ that I spent on these and how sturdy & durable they are, you cannot go wrong with that. Thanks for checking in and for your support.

I use spade screws on the bottom where you used the wingnuts and then used lock washers, washers and those wingnuts inside. Love your pot stands.

I have used this for a couple of years.... I found that I do not need to do anything to it. I had used computer fan grills that sit on 3 small bolts that create a air void for ash to fall down to the bottom......the metal being tin gives off unpleasant fumes that might taint any food... now I just use it how it is bought and it works better for me, paired with a trangia pan grip/handle.

Hi Marco. Great video. What are the legs made from?
@marodriguezsr
@marodriguezsr 6 лет назад
Thank you for stopping by Michelle glad you enjoyed. The legs are "One Hole 1/2" Steel Conduit Straps". All hardware stores have them. They cost way under a dollar each & they will last forever. If you need any further assistance do not hesitate. Thanks again & enjoy your project, maybe you can share with us the turn out. Take care Michelle.

You are welcome, I am in SouthWest Texas about 2 miles from the New Mexico State Line. I keep it simple & humble & shoot it straight just like it is, nothing fancy. Thanks again Michelle & glad you came by.
@marodriguezsr
@marodriguezsr 6 лет назад
I feel you on not wanting the stove sitting on the floor especially with all of the fire bans Cali has. The purpose of the legs is also for better air circulation to the combustion chamber & you can always put a 1'x1' heavy duty foil paper or aluminum pie pan underneath for protection to the ground.

I thought you might be around that area. I lived in New Mexico for a number of years. It's beautiful. Love the desert, arroyos, pinon, New Mexico red chile, peace and quiet, even the sound of coyotes. I'm really considering moving back. LA is just too much.
