I remind you that it was these fighters which gave an overwhelming advantage over the IJN's embarked aircraft (More than 5500 A6Ms shot down): There is definitely an explanation for this, isn't there? To successfully pilot the F6F, you must remain in the area of ​​superiority of the plane: THE SPEED which must absolutely be kept above 450 km at least, when you have a zero in your six hours. That's what I did.

If you watch the video carefully, you will see that zeros are not outperformed in horizontal maneuvers. All were hit in frontal passes, either shot down immediately or diminished. I use the Hellcat's superiority in straight line speed, dive, and climb speed. This is consistent with historical facts. The F6F-3 was made for that.

@@Belatza Excellent, knowing your subject. But I do believe we saw the Zeros out turned both on your tail and failing to shake you. Perhaps inferior piloting to you as well. Credit to your knowledge and skill.😉 We’ve played such sims longer than most here alive, always disappointed lack of historical performance representations. Only where brother could fly as opponent to prove can one know for sure. Still haven’t found performance accurate sims. Not just air, sea and land too. Far more success in visual and sound reality.
