I don't do well with most of the Bobbi Brown products either - the foundation stick is one of the few that i have done well with. Was that one bad for your skin as well? I'm glad that the Ilia stick has worked out for you! ❤

I love that you compared these 2. I wore the BB stick for years and even on my wedding day 23 years ago. I think of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics as one of the original indie brands before it was purchased by EL in 1995. I too feel like they might discontinue it. I just picked up the ILIA stick and I like it. It does remind me of the BB one thanks for the comparison of theses brands

Hi Lisa a great video comparison of the products. I do use the Bobbie Brown corrector stick...its better than the neutralizer sticks by Jones Road. I also use the Bobbie Brown eyeshadow sticks daily. Haven't tried the llia products yet. Thanks for another video that always gives me ideas.

What a great video on Ilia. I was uneducated , and guessed products were mostly safe. I haven’t used the ilia base but have only heard rave reviews , so will try . The only foundation stick I’ve tried is Merits ( the reformulated one ) I like it for quick spot concealing , but shades are too yellow in my med/ warm skin . Have u tried merit’s stick? Of all the brands, I’ve had great return policies with Ilia & Merit. Mostly when product falls apart after a week of use. Lol/ Bought the ilia berry colored lip liner and love it as one and done lip product. I also bought Mob’s 1990 lip liner , and love the shade. When I sharpen it,a lot is wasted , so I bought two. But for the price, I’m running through them . The ilia liner only takes a small amount to completely cover my lips . A win for sure, next month trying the face base! Thx ❤❤❤

Things have changed so much in the beauty business - a lot of the "clean" products have ingredients (lab chemicals and botanicals) that are irritating for me, and a lot of the "conventional" products (such as Nars) are now releaing products that are consistently 100% fine for me (and that rate well on EWG). That actually was the main impetus for this channel - to try to help people make sense of all of this. I really like the formula of the Merit complexion stick, which seems to me pretty similar to the Tom Ford concealer. (I don't think they reformulated it, just put it in different packaging with a much bigger amount included.). I've talked about it in a lot of other videos, but I don't see it as a foundation stick - I would use it for spot coverage onlly. The main issue with that one is that they just don't have enough shades, I think. I have three shades and don't feel like any of them are right for me. Probably when I get the new Merit Ginger lipstick, I will do a video with a full face of Merit and then discuss the foundation issue. Those Ilia lip crayons really do seem good! I am looking forward to experimenting with some brighter shades. ❤

I feel that the Merit stick is quite a bit different than these others, in that I don' t think that I would ever use that as an overall foundation. It really seems to be suited just to spot coverage. I've discussed that a number of times, including in this video on cream concealers.
