@@backbone93 he does the homework too, that's how he found the knockout, he didn't fought Emmett like he fought Volk, and he didn't fought Volk like he fought Max, is not JUST confidence, he has a gameplan, he has conviction, something most fighters don't have.
@@nilesrodriguez4343 chill dude youre exxagerating a bit. He is younger and fresher than those are Its his time, but dont act like he is the goat yet with one title defense
Its crazy because I actually think Illia continues to be very respectful. He just speaks plainly that he will dominate. I do not know how people don't see that. I guess its because he's saying it about the favorite fighters.
As a teenager, I instantly hated anyone who spoke with that level of confidence. Over time, I've learned to respect them. Yes, there are arrogant and disrespectful fighters, but Ilia doesn't strike me as one of them. People say he's a copy of Connor, but he doesn't really go around insulting anyone or messing with their families, he's just brutally confident and honest.
Seriously. They should go watch old videos of Max talking shit on Aldo and Volk lol. I’m genuinely confused on how disliked this guy is, I think he’s so obviously kind
In Spain we all knew it was all about confidence and not cockiness, there's lot of interviews with him that we could undertand it from the beggining. In English is basically Ilia UFC mode.
You only like him now because he’s a winner. That’s what you don’t know about yourself yet. You will switch up on him when he loses. That’s the name of the game, and it goes for most of you
I am so glad Ilia had to fight Max to defend his belt. If there was someone else everyone would keep doubting him. Now everyone acknowledged that he’s not cocky, he’s champion.
@taetrrtot6205 yes supreme confidence where McGregor was showmanship and the fact ilia is the most complete fighter we have ever seen he will be bigger than notorious in the end
Do you remember when he was saying he would not fight max and others in his division, people took it as highest level of arrogance, he knew his power, just came back to beat max to prove his point
I mean that’s the whole reason we as fans tune in to watch these guys fight. Even if he knew he was levels above max it was still important for the fight to happen and prove his talk. It’s like Jon jones retiring without fighting Aspinall. Maybe he destroys aspinall all along but we as fans want to see it happen, just like this fight.
@@TURABBBBMovsar gets SMOKED. Diego Lopes stands some chance, heavy punches and very good bjj. Still will lose tho imo. After what I saw in Topuria's last two fights, the entire FW division is COOKED
Other fighters need to stay away from Illia unless they have a high fight IQ and confidence like Steven Seagal. You need to be smart because Illia does what he says.
Good to see all of you jumping on the Topuria train now, alot of people were clowning me fight week when I told them Ilia will pull it off exactly like he said he would
It's funny because when people watch the interview most of the comments are about how cocky he is and how hard they want him to be humbled, but when you watch it after the fight everything sounds cristal clear as his truth. He always says: "First I believe, then I see" but he trains harder than anyone to achieve it
its so crazy everything he says is true, you hear other guys say they're the best and you're like ok you've suffered loses, ilia says it and he's undisputed with comeback victories. he is a rare special once in a lifetime breed
Max a volume puncher at 45 doesn’t knock out a lot of dudes for how much he throws as a standup guy vs a dude who throws dynamite with every combination, a knockout I felt was how ilia was gonna win whether tko or Ko
He said he world step in the middle of the octagon in the first ten seconds of the fight and knock Holloway out in the first round if he exchanged with him there
If my friends from high school gave me the N word pass, is it still applicable when I go to college or in other social circles? I’m white and my friends are white too btw
You misunderstood him. remember he speaks four languages and i know it’s hard for you to keep your mind intact while you’re angry about your favorite 145er getting popped in the mouth, but it is what it is man
It's kind of funny how Topuria refuses to mention Aljamain's name. The dude is scared straight up. He only wants favorable match ups. Aljamain has greatest back control in the business and is considered to be the Khabib of the division. He would be a stylistic nightmare for Ilia.
So people are agreeing on getting into that octagon to get hit on the jaw in the most extreme and violent manner possible so they could lose consciousness all for money is what you’re saying? They’re agreeing to let another person manipulate their limbs and break their faces for money is what you’re saying ?
Yeah dude max took like 18 HARD shots to the body and head for….money? He just made like $700k at UFC 300 and you think he came in here and got his lights turned off for less? Alright my brother.
