Great history lesson for Lincoln devotees.I will be 72 years of age and first visited New Salem at age 10.I have returned many times over the years. It is a very special place indeed !When you put your head inside any of the buildings, there is a unique aroma of patina that was there when I was 10 and is still the same after all the years I have visited. You must come here at least once in your life as it is so beautiful and idyllic. You will love it as I have all through the years. db
