What if 0th dimension is the 10th dimension? Like instead of thinking of the dimensions as moving in a pattern where everything is perpendicular, it returns back to 0 at the end.

This is really quite a mind blowing concept in my opinion. I understand what's been explained, but I definitely will have to re-watch this to grasp a clearer understanding to the point that I could explain it to others myself.

Okay, this is bullshit. I'm not even sure which of these two things are more important but here goes: 1. when you sum n and (-n) where n=0 -> x (and x is not infinity) you get zero, yes. But that doesn't mean that that zero contains those numbers. That's just a leap of logic. sum of n + (-n) is just that - a sum, a mathematical operation. It doesn't magically "stuff" numbers into the result. You can also think of it like this: take one person, put him in a room. Then take one person out. Put two in, take two out. Repeat until x, where x is not infinity. How many people are in that room? All of them or none? 2. infinity is not a number. It's a mathematical construct with certain properties that we defined so that it can be used in calculations. But there are some non-intuitive operations when dealing with infinity (I'll use "inf" for infinity now on). E.g.: inf + 1 = inf (not inf+1) inf - 1 = inf (not inf-1) inf - inf = undefined How is that? It's because infinity is just that - it's infinity, it's not a finite number, it's something that never ends. It's like you're shoveling and putting dirt on a pile. The amount of dirt on the pile is infinity because you'll never stop shoveling. Now what happens if someone takes one shovel of dirt out of your pile? Nothing, it's still infinity because you will keep adding more dirt. It's even easier when someone adds one shovel of dirt. Now how to visualise inf minus inf? Let's say you have a friend who's a bad dude and he comes and starts taking dirt out of your infinite pile and he'll never stop so his amount of shoveled dirt is minus infinity. Now how large will the pile actually get? The answer is we don't know. It depends on how fast each of you is shoveling, when each of you started, when you take breaks from shoveling etc. The pile is in fact in constant change so there is no definite size of that pile. So now that we see why zero cannot be "all the numbers" just because n + (-n) is zero, we see that the whole concept is proven wrong. All that follows after the construct of zero as "absolute value" are more leaps of logic. In fact probably the worst one is this: "The content of -1 is equal but inverse to the content of 1." - that doesn't even make any sense or maybe I don't understand the construct because English is not my primary language - if so, please somebody explain the meaning to me. At any rate the foundation is a flawed interpretation of math so it's wrong anyway.

To help you understand zero vs infinity. Think of them as the same thing, except infinity defines a direction either positive or negative. There zero and infinity means zero is a point in infinity without movement, while infinity is points that of zero in a direction while moving. Therefore it comes back onto itself because it is moving.

As of 8:38 where I stopped, this idea defines itself upon semantics and thought experiments (like lawyers...). Don't be confused out of the fact that this is purely philosophical and has no mathematical relevance. And don't go into calculus class with the preconception that zero has some sort of powerful significance. Like those kids from high school who thought there would be something mystical about a hypothetical final digit of pi. This is what I get for watching a video about tesseracts.

Infinity + -infinity = 0, everything + all but nothing = nothing = 0 = void of all dimensions because there isn't any. This is why 0 is an connected oval it's long vertically because it wanted to find an end but could not; it ended up meeting itself.

The craziest thought I took away from this (which the video didn't really expand upon) is the concept of numbers as a set. Just as 0 is a set of all numbers less itself. For example 1 can be the set {1}, or {1, (1-1)}, or {1, (7-7), (222-222), ...}. Each of those sets all represent 1, but at the same time each set is different. Like wise, subtract each of those 1 sets from 0 will result in -1, but each -1 will be slightly different. It's the infinite 0 set less the finite 1 set. Mind blown.

This is truly some fascinating stuff. I stumbled upon this video because I was just randomly questioning our different perceivable dimensions and realized no one ever asks about the 0th dimension. It logically would mean nothing. Just a single dot. Origin point and destination at the same time. Fascinatingly it would be the only dimension that does not require the concept of time for Life to exist (since there is no motion between two or more points needed). Imagine our collective consciousness in just a dot. It sounds scary but I think our sensory experiences would be quite different. But it’s still a profound thought, 0 is the nothing, the origin. It aligns with Bhuddism Hinduism and even a bit Christianity as well

I'm gonna make a comment before and after the video. Before. Easy, the 0 dimension is an infinitely small point, used to represent the directional values of the rest of the dimensions. After. Makes sense, however we did not go in depth of the dimension itself, merely the concept of zero as a whole. Speaking of the dimensions is a whole other level of math that cannon be explained using the normal parameters of math.

(this is bloodykiss1100's wife): So, as a math person, this was a fun quick exercise to get away from N, Q, R, and C. In any of those, we can do (-1+1)+(-2+2)+... = -1+(1+-2)+(2+-3)+...=-1+-1+-1+... = -inf. This is an example of why order matters when dealing with infinity. Similarly, order matters when dividing by zero (it can be done in some cases).

Thinking of this "0" as a perfectly balanced everything is useful for thinking about how a universe such as ours could spring from a breaking of an underlying symmetry. With your example: starting with this perfectly balanced "everything" and then adding 1 to it doesn't break the logic. 0 plus 1 is still 1. So nobody's suggesting here that every mathematical calculation now needs to factor in "0 as everything", but considering this as our symmetry state is an interesting exercise for the mind.

I am one. I exist. 1st dimension: Hi, 0th dimension, I am another 0th dimension. I exist too. Since we are all that exists, existence can only be defined as us, what is between us, and the line that connects us. This is our perspective, and that perspective is the 1st dimension. The first dimension is all we can imagine. 2nd dimension: Hi 1st dimension, I’m another point. I’m just out here, but I’m outside of you. Incidentally, I can see all of you in both directions. From what I can see the physical universe consists of points towards you and away from you. All these possible lines make a plane. This plane is the second dimension. From what I can see, it’s all that exists. 3rd dimension: Hey guys, so I’m another point. Like, 2nd dimension, you were wrong to assume you were all that existed, just like 1st dimension was wrong to assume it was all to exist. So, in relation to you, I guess I add another element of depth, and another order of magnitude of the things that exist. Makes you wonder what is next. 4th dimension: I think we’re beginning to establish a pattern. 3rd dimension, I’m the 4th dimension. It's all subjectively relative, defined from within the experiencer/subjectee. When I sleep I sometimes exist in this dimension where I am both the the observer and the experience. I see people of past in unfamiliar settings, also entwined from past experience and Changing and becoming different things, places that become different. I wake up feeling like that experience is realler than this reality that Im typing this comment in. That one is more dynamic, interesting, imaginative. Because once I finish typing this, this is event is over will have passed to time. But the events I experience and feel when sleep seem to not have a texture of end or beginning, just is a timeless nature of being. Whatever I can imagine, I see. I SEE! To experience vision and to experience Experience itself. experience is all encompassing, alot more nourishing than this finite transitory corporeal simulation.

Question. if you want to draw 3D on a paper, which is actually 2D, can you draw 1D with 0D?

If you lived in zero dimensions, you could still "Move". I put quotes as you wouldn't move, but instead, there would be different values to each particle that substitute space and time. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimension could be substituted for stuff like heat, magnetism, ect. Sight could be you detect how different one particles value is from yours.
