Lifelong Kentuckian here, born and raised in Lexington, and my parents still live in the same house they bought more than 50 years ago. I'm a couple of counties away now and while I absolutely adore my old hometown and miss it dearly, its charm is slowly being devoured by overdevelopment and ridiculous city ordinances.

Georgetown is known as Lexington's bedroom Community. I like Georgetown better because it's not as crowded as Lexington, yet you're not far away from all Lexington has to offer.

Very nice! Not a super fan of drop-in bath and showers. With all that brick leading up, would have expected a fully tiled bathroom. Neighborhood seems to vary a lot on brick or brick façade, or panel siding. Also, the yard does not offer much, i.e. gardening, privacy, things you get from a large yard. But this is the market we are in. Thanks for sharing.

Your drive ups are what got me looking into Ky. Now I’m as happy as you to be here Brad!! This is a gorgeous house and that is a great neighborhood. We’ve explored parts of Lexington. 68 is a great drive up also. We use it a lot. I’d like to add for anyone watching. When you first drive up to Lexington it’s not like any other city I’ve seen. No skyscrapers. You can easily drive right past on the interstate and never notice it. Such a great city.

Just remember Kentucky is a no-fault state. If you're ever in a car accident rear-ended by a drunk driver and nobody will care, I've found myself in that boat so you can elaborate on Kentucky all you want, but in the end it's a no-fault state

Yes, KY is a no-fault state - which means if someone hits you -- and THEY don''t have insurance, its no worry, your insurance will cover you -- without you chasing some deadbeat. THAT is what No-Fault means. #1 = What is the advantage of a no-fault system for states? The goal of a no-fault insurance system is to reduce the number of lawsuits related to car accidents and to speed up the process of getting compensation for accident-related injuries. Dec 27, 2022 #2 - In Kentucky, the no-fault car insurance law means that you will file a claim with your own car insurance provider after a car accident whether or not you caused the crash. Your own car insurance policy will cover your damages without requiring proof of someone else's fault. Apr 25, 2023 #3 - Who pays for car damage in a no-fault state? your insurance will pay these expenses for you or ANYONE you let drive your car, anyone living in your household, passengers in your vehicle and pedestrians. #4 - Can I Still File a Car Accident Lawsuit Against a Negligent Driver in a No-Fault State? I've already wrote to the governor.. and contacted MADD. And my insurance is covering medical but I got the next 30 years to live in pain because of no fault. So enjoy Kentucky while I enjoy Indiana

I appreciate what you wrote but my insurance shouldn't have to be liable. I think the Commonwealth of Kentucky should be liable because this is the guys 4th DUI and they gave him the privilege to obtain a driver's license that he keeps abusing. I don't even know how your RU-vid got on my Google page but that's the only reason why I responded so thanks for your reply. Hope you have a great day

I love the houses, but I’m a country boy I like farms and one thing for sure I would never ever buy a police. Where is an HMO can’t stand somebody telling me what to do with my property if you want to tell me what to do with the property here’s the famous book you make the famous that’s how I feel about HMO.

Been in Paris KY just a scenic 15 minute rive from Lexington, for almost a year. Loving the historic buildiings DON'T TEAR THEM DOWN , the horses, the rolling hills and dry stack fences.

I love the house, the quiet neighorhood. But I'm so tired of the honey colored cabinets, the kitchen counter and baths need an upgrade..lots of room and the basemrnt is really nice. How do you find out the asking price

@timothygodfrey4950 - I never mentioned people were bailing, running out of the state with their hair on fire screaming. hahahha. People move around --- ALL the time everywhere. This house is 'right-sizing' - still in the state. She retired, he wants to be closer to their business. We have a new place on 30 acres coming up - 70s couple, she passed, he is getting closer to town with less work. Just got a 15 ac place with new house - someone no longer wants to be married. In real estate we call it the 6 Ds: Death, Divorce, Debt, Disability, Downsizing and Disinterest. As many people as their are reasons. 😀.
