The problem isn’t a lack of concern or increasing the number of politicians. The problem is that we have no faith in our politicians and our government. Never do they have the balls to cut anything but oh they can spend our tax dollars like there is no tomorrow. The politicians have their salaries and reelections locked to benefit themselves and monopolize their elected positions.

I’m glad to hear that story I’m 74 and I always felt if needed I would be in the fight

Erik is absolutely right about the number of Congressman needed. One per 70,000 voters like the founders set up originally. More Congressman less likely to be bought off by large national funds for their campaigns. They will actually have to work to please their actual constituent. I also think they are only allowed to spend 2 weeks in DC a year and the rest home working and listening to the people they SERVE. We all need to be Samuel Wittman.

I signed the petition the same day you posted that incredible interview. But I think many people are so overwhelmed with corruption in government that they think a petition won't do anything. You have one of the most important channels in social media for getting to the truth of things, but I think people also need to be encouraged as to what's possible as much or more than they need to know what's wrong. I do believe there's a strong point to be made about "affluenza," but people are also medicating themselves with unhealthy foods because every thing they hear (from the left AND the right) is meant to make them afraid. Rather than encouraging, equipping, and empowering people to live brilliantly in our amazing, God-given, constitutional liberties, we hunker down in our living rooms with another pizza, gas lit by our elected organized crime bosses into settling for that as our definition of freedom.

Most people understand that pro-wrestling is fixed. They understand that the "good guy" and the "heel" aren't opponents, they are teammates on WWE/Team Vince McMahon. Unfortunately, most people don't seem to understand that politics in America are fixed. Democratic politicians and Republican politicians aren't opponents, they are teammates on Team Upper Class. Unfortunately, most people also don't seem to understand that MSNBC, CNN and Fox aren't opponents, they are teammates on Team Upper Class. Middle class and working class Americans must be divided in order for Team Upper Class to maintain political and economic control in America. Democratic politicians, Republican politicians and the mainstream media work together to divide middle class and working class Americans, so that they fight amongst themselves. Democratic politicians and Republican politicians are beholden to their wealthy donors. They cannot represent middle class and working class Americans and expect to receive large donations from their wealthy donors.

I heavily disagree that all it would take is us getting in politicians faces and being angry. They know people are angry, they don't care. While the apathetic do outnumber the loud voices, there are enough loud voices. But no one is willing to do anything just yet. Instead of being merely angry, we have to show them that we mean business. But as Erik said, things really aren't all that bad materially, people have dealt with far worse. So it will be a while before anything really changes. Trump won't save us, even if he wins. He'll only be in for 4 years. And then someone else will have to come along. But perhaps no one will, and DC will resume business as usual. On top of the apathetic people, we also have a bunch of useful idiots running around, regime foot soldiers.
